Clarification:
this statement "Room will open between 8:30PM GMT and 9PM GMT evening" and the countdown timer showing 8:00PM GMT seem to contradict each other.
Then it says SPEC check is at 9:30 BST (which i think is 8:30GMT, is that right?)

So is the countdown timer simply when practice starts if one so desires? and then 30 minutes later we do SPEC check and open qualifying for 15 minutes, then the race starts immediately thereafter?

am i reading all that correctly?

This is indeed correct to the best of my knowledge.

We are currently in British summer time which is an hour ahead of gmt so yes you are correct... Spec check is always 30 mins after the countdown timer ends and the race is 1 hour after it finishes

Sorry i mised the race because of the time diference, had to do some work outside the city at 4:30pm on wich the race start for me.
Good luck to all and congrats to the winners.

I did set a 1:14.4 for pole,anyway I had a good race,AyrtonSchumacher won with memto 2nd,me 3rd,and the last R10 in 4th,Plux won gte ahead of i-was-ere,richy,WIDFO and ANFD

I had various moments during that race. But 3rd is great start to my time here.

Sorry for not sticking around guys. It suddenly dawned on me I hadn't really tidied the house that much hahaha anyway hope the rest of the race went well.

I found a thread from this member who's looking for a good series to run and mentioned this series in it.
Here's the thread mentioned earlier: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=286691

Cheers for the shout mate, I will say though the wec main is closed off to new comers, that's what this series is for, so when there are spots this will feed the drivers into the wec Main.... It's the only way to get into the wec now ;)

Great racing last night all, cant believe I ran out of tyres 2 times lol, I tried to get 40mins out of the mediums in 1 stint, but only got 39mins before they fell off the cliff completely, and then I tried to stretch my last stint but run out again at 2h2mins and had to make a late stop. Anyway it was a good race lads, enjoyed the first 20 lap stint plux that was a great battle we had 👍

Best battle we've had so far Richy and we've had some cracking ones!

It was a good race, got a good start and tried to tyre safe in the first stint as much as possible. Great battle with Rich cost us both time and going in one lap too late (stuck behind WIDFO - you were fast) and got jumped. I then pushed too hard and hit the wall on lap 1 of the medium stint. I knew I couldn't do 32 laps on mediums so split the stints and hoped Rich would come back towards me. After his tyre issues I had a big lead and cruised it home. The last lap was hard as I was trying to stop Rich getting his lap back and late Ayrton through so I didn't have to do any more laps, it just worked as I followed him over the line

It was a surprisingly hard fought race in LMP, Nin had the pole and had been setting fastest lap after fastest lap in practice... for some reason i couldnt break into the 14's until quli where i was only 14.9 (even though i had been running 14.4's in practice) I thought that i was gonna be last in the LMP so was gonna start on meds and hope for some crashes up ahead... instead got 2nd and stuck with nin for the first stint then got onto the meds and started pulling away from everyone until AYRTONSCHUMACHER got on the softs... had a great race with him for a while until i had to pit in then just started falling behind :/

Yes good fight with you and Chin at different times. Both times we were on different tyres or same tyres but at different stage of life. I was limiting going down the back straight so couldn't get pasted so had to pass out of traction zones.

I remember one time with you when I was on the worse tyres, (I think you where un lapping yourself). I didn't defend the inside enough going down the back straight and you dived in and pulled away. I won't make it that easy for you again, haha.

Anyway, on to the next one. 3hrs of the grandest valley.

Oh, there where two LMP racers that were at Indy but not at Trial Mountain. Would have been good to have a few more big cars.

I must take a look at the replay and see what was really happening. If I be honest, it was all a blur of walls and tunnels.

My pace on the mediums was pretty bad,I stuck them on for my 1st stop,I had no confidence on traction, mainly the reason why AyrtonSchumi passed using undercut when my tyres were going off which was about 10mins before I stuck the softs on again, the other time when we unlapped eachother, that was crazy thundering through traffic, I knew memto was close to me,I had to pass AyrtonSchumi quickly,I took the tow,he defended,I was thinking which side to pick then I took a massive dive round the outside and it worked, but I lost my chance of trying to catch memto when I made contact with traffic and damaged the front, that dropped me a lap down,at my 1st stop I probably overfilled it,I had to rush because I was the 1st in the pit lane because I had to rejoin the lounge,my best lap was a 1:15.1 while hunting down memto before I damaged my car.I'm surprised to even finish after all the network issues I've had.

Yes Chin that was a great move, just after watching it again. Moves like that always feel better with damage on heavy. The main thing is always to leave racing room of each other so that the fun can continue.

So what was the unofficial result ( pending steward review, penalties etc). Just grabbing a bit of wifi from a bar while on hols coz interested to see how this panned out

Points and Penalties

Penalties:
Lap 23 - WIDFO - micantony - Racing incident - NA
Lap 87 - memto89 - i-was-ere - Racing incident - NA

1) Mic, WIDFO had front left and rear right damage, so when he came over the crest it spat him off into the side which then bounced him off into your path, after the contact there was further damage which then spat the car off to the right. Unfortunately I do not feel that any party had full control of the situation and there for it was a racing incident.

2) i-was-ere, the contact on lap 87, only minor and no damage was caused, no time lost so racing incident.

Glad to say these are the only incidents that i could find or were brought to my attention. Overall a very good clean race.

Well, i definitely had avoidable contact with the wall on 2 or 3 occasions. But if the wall didn't lodge an incident report, that's fine by me:sly:

The walls have learnt fear when I am near in this car :nervous:
Sorry if I messed up your race Mic.
