Awesome time in the Supra GoKents. Can I ask how much power you were running with?

And damn.. carbonfibreman almost had me running and go buy an X-port.

My first podium finish... I DO feel all warm and fuzzy...

Castrol Supra.
I gotta ask, did out just outsmart everyone?

I put the race together thinking about running the astra, but then everyone else brought up the jgtc cars. So I looked into them, sure enough, they were monsters, but almost all were out of the running.

Then I noticed the penzoil and its weight... 1200kg, not 1100kg like the other skylines. I knew I could buy one, and so I did... ended up finding out that the power with a turbo 1 was right were is should have been.

Figured I could buy a Castrol Supra and see how it worked... Changed the oil and ran, but turbo 1 made it in-eligable.... what to do.

Ah! don't change the oil. Maybe that will help.
So I bought one and didn't change the oil. Put a turbo 1 on it and ran for 200 miles at rome.
With 200 miles and no oil changes ever, the supra ran at 546 hp & *2.014 pwr.
All of the jgtc cars were major oversights due to a lack of race testing.
I took them all for 2.3 slow pokes.

Oh well, I guess some of you other guys figure this out since I got alot of 2.0?? pwr nsx race cars.

Nice runs by many of you, and cfm, getting that nsx down to 13.8 was nice. 👍 Good work.

Hey, not bad for my first time out.....only about 2 tenths or so from taking a podium position.

Cripes, UB, do you have a replay or something I could look at? That was a pretty damn quick time......I guess that was that dart I seen zipping by me on the course. lol

well i know i coulda dropped at least .5 off my time since my best lap my T1 was a 18.2 while my best T1 overall was a 17.7

Hah, I thought I had it in the bag...guess I shoulda tried more than one car. I had a lap with a T2 of 46.3 that was no good because I bumped the wall coming out of the Coliseum turn, without that wall touch I would've had a high 1.13.5 or low 1.13.6 Still not enough to win, so I guess it doesn't matter Nice win Kent, good idea for the strategy

P.S. Props to UB57 for showing those Div.2 drivers who the boss is with road AND race cars

Been apologizing to GoKents the last few weeks for NOT being able to put enough time into the Weeklies. Maybe I was putting in TOO MUCH Time in the past eh? Going "Almost" all the way thru the Game using only "Road Cars" proabably helped a bit too!

BTW: After reading the Results was a little concerned I may have mis-typed my Road Car Time LATE last nite, so triple checked it again this AM. Try this for "FUN": Load both your "Race" & "Road" replays in the "Analyzer." I was VERY Surprised how close MY sector times were & I even managed to beat the NSX thru ONE Sector w/R390 Road!!!

Ok, I don't think multiple attachments are possible, so this is gonna be a double post in honor of both laps.

The rgt isn't really needed, but what the heck.

Also, I was down to a 17.2 in the r390, and that was on a 1 session 5 lap run... not even dialed in yet. So I knew that car was the winner, I just felt it would be wrong for me (the organizer/mod) to run for wins in both divisions.
yeah right, I just suck and wouln't admit it.

GoKents! GoKents! Go! Boy, you outsmarted us all on that one....I never thought of doing that.....I tested the Supra, but at 2.2 kgs./hp....It just wouldn't haul the mail. I didn't think any more about it.....big coup! I'm going to keep one eye on you from now on!

Good job Carbonfiberman! I had some better runs in the NSX, but little flaws shelved them.....but, I wasn't quite in the 1:13's with it.

And as always, when I grow up.....I want to be as fast as UB57!

I wasn't going to run a Road car at first since my time was limited, but I had won one earlier so I said, what the hay!

It was capable of going much faster, but I only spent less than a hour before deadline on it.....then as you go faster the wall banging increases, so the successful run return diminishes. Frankly, I got tired of aborting and restarting.....It really was starting to bother me to no end.

Well... not that it really means anythign at this point... I had the GT40 ROAD CAR down to about 1'15.7xx, except I couldnt get that clean, and I could 'see' 1'15.2xx!

Anyways... hopefully this week will be easier to nab a clena run and submit... already it is looking much better 8)

Yeah, it was kinda a suprise to find that the supra would run in that range, and it was also kinda suprising that of all the other people who ran 2.0?? pwr jgtc cars, I was one of only maybe 2 or 3 that figured out that the supra would fit in with no oil changes.

I mean, you guys checked it, noticed that it was like 5 hp too much and you didn't think to try a fresh supra with no oil.

I just wish I had noticed this before the week began, then I would have gone with the original 2.100 pwr that I had initially thought would work best.

Too bad so many people started talking about the jgtc cars... I would have never moved from my astra if that hadn't happend.

Oh well, still had fun with it... Im not really bad at rome so the walls weren't too much trouble.

In fact, if my controller hadn't broke in the middle of my groove for the week, I am sure that 1.12.9 would have come around.
My 1.13.4 was on a 46.5 and I had already found the best possible to be in the 46.0 area... soo... who knows what would have happend.

thanks emp for the podium welcome. i didn't expect to finish so high, and seeing as how there were so few DIV 1 racers in race cars, that's the only reason why I did finish 3rd.

we'll see what happens this week now with all these big cats coming back into competition.

i hate getting sick messes up my play couldnt get both cars ran but i did my best with falling asleep about every 5th lap kept having to restart my run as soon as i got a clean run i posted could have done better just didnt have the time

I don't know.

I know you will get better with time, and since you are running div 3 you should know that there are faster racers out there... but your placing is not entirely on you alone.

The penzoil was an awesome car in real life, so in the game it seems they accounted for that and played the way the actual jgtc plays it with badass cars.

Thats means the awesome penzoil has to run with either less power, or more weight, or both... that way it will remain competitive with the other jgtc500 cars.

Since the penzoil really was out there doing what it should have, in the game, they accounted for that and made it 1200kg instead of the 1100 or 1150 of the other 2 skyline race cars.

So, yeah you have some improving to do, but the penzoil skyline in game is also a weak choice for a car in this race.

I'm not sure what the weight/power ratio is for the Penzoil, but with ppl using race car supra's and nsx's... it's gonna be hard to post a better time in a skyline (imo).
