Ok, well, a smaller turn out than expected, so I do indeed respect all of you that could take the time to get a run in this week.

It was a hard race and just getting a clean run is something to be proud of.

The winner of the week is 3rdgenracerX, with UB57 and NielsG taking their respective division wins. 👍

Good job racers.

I also want to congradulate our newest pro to be promoted. Repeatedly this racer has proven his worth and his wisdom.
Pro/ Div 1 status is a must for this man.
UB57, I am honored to graduate you to the professional division 1 rank.

And just so you all know, I got the time to run some free run laps with this combo and damn you guys are good.
I was only pulling high 52s on my best laps, so indeed...
You are all doing well... keep it up.

And thank you for your time, effort and participation.
cya in week 64. :D

Not to worry buffalo... go look through the past posting of the weekly and on more than one occassion, before I was running the show, I have said that I respect the race who turns in a time every week more than the racer that turns them in only when he can win.

Putting in the effort and showing charactor is what this is all about.

Keep working at it and I am sure you will be running at the top of your division in no time.

btw, how about 3rdgen... that guy did some work huh?

I think 3rdgen mentioned a 49 in his pm to me.
Now that really is fast. 👍

Congrats to 3rdgenracerx for a spectacular WRS debut, to UB57 for a smokin time and a much deserved promotion, and to GT3Mich for a great time also.

Congrats, too, to those who toughed it out in the P002.

Congrats to the top guys.

And to UB57, and a little late, HareTurtle and gt4 for there well deserved promotions.

Thanks to Kent for a catching race. Feels good to be back in the Weeklies. :)

man that is one smokin time 3rdgen

i managed to put my 2 best lap times back to back in this which was nice.

Lap 1 57:580
Lap 2 52.358
Lap 3 52.099

Congrats for everyone just for driving the F1's I know they are the most fun thing to sprint race in. Congrats to Bob for making it to Div 1 :D we had some great racing against each other at Dallas.

I cant remember what my first lap time was, I think it was a 55 second lap. Lap 2, was a 49.6 and lap 3, was a 50.1

In free run my best clean lap was  49.144 a 48.9 is possible but it will take the perfect lap to achieve.

Pal guys dont feel left out, I did the F688/s as well for kicks.
Race: 2'39.323
Free run: 50.722
Man i've forgotten how much fun the 88/s is to drive, so stable, decently fast compared to the F1's.

oh yeah i just rememberd i just ordered a driving force pro the other day maybe that will make me a little better, but we'll see and i orders an x-port as well

Congrats Bob on the promotion to Div.1! No more talk about the "Fast Guys" anymore cuz you're a "Fast Guy" too.;) I just wish I was an "uber-fast guy"

The X-Port will be a big help as right away you can start comparing lines and racing other people's ghosts. It's a neat little gadget:)

PS: 3rdgenracerX, can you attach your replay the next time you hook up your Sharkport? I'd like to check out your lines and your settings and see how mine stacks up. Great run by the way:bowdown:

Congrats to ALL the Racers this Week! Especially 3rdgenracerX    Even if I could have hooked my 3 BEST Laps together I'd have only made it to the 36 Second bracket!

Thanks for the Promotion Kent 👍 I truely think I've only done well lately because you've picked Great Car/Track Combos that fit my "Driving Style" (or LACK thereof) well!!! I'll try not to slow the Division I drivers down.

Thanks for all the Kudos guys!

A special THANX to CFM. 👍 Even w/ a little "Fiddling" I was still using at least 80% of your set-up.

@ GT3mich: More than ANY Other Race I've been in, this one makes me wish we could feed Multi-Lappers into the "Analyzer". I've a feeling our "Ghosts" would be all over each other the whole time! 👍

@ buffalo: Stick with us guy! 👍 My record for this Car/Track Combo was 56.196' run long before I joined the Weekly Race Series. No doubt in my mind that hanging out here and at Mr P's A.R.C Series has helped my driving immensely!

THANX Again...UB57 :D

Pffft. You 686/M-running girls all KNOW that I'm number 1... :D

I watched your replay, your pretty much on the racing line the whole time. Turns 1 and 2 you can go faster in 120-127 is about the limit that you can safely get thru there at the apex of turn 1, you have to be on the rumble strip on apex. Getting thru turn 1 and 2 at the limit is rather curcial since your flat out from there until turn 5. In turn 3 dont hit the rumble strips on the apex, you loose speed when hitting that section of the rumbles. Turns 5,6 were done well. Turn 7 you need to go faster going in, brake as you turn in. This is a realllllly tough corner to get right, the speed has to be near perfect and the line has to be dead on to get up on the rumbles at the right angle and the speed has to be correct or you will either spin out or put 4 off in the grass. Turn 7 is truely a kamakazi corner, so much time is lost thru there if its not taken properly. On 8,9 you need to be flat out. Braking for 10 is a real PITA when going flat out thru 8,9, Apex speeds for 10 ranges from 60-70 mph for me, anything faster then you'll be out of control and heading for the wall on the exit. One other crucial thing is to get off the corner as smooth as possible, if you get oversteer then your loosing lots of time even though it doesnt feel like it you are. 11,12 are taken flat out, then full throttle all the way to the finish line. On my 3rd lap I lost 3 tenths comming out of 7 because my exit wasnt perfect so I wasnt full throttle and I barely knicked the gravel trap with my right rear tire. Then I lost 2 tenths on the exit of turn 10 because I got a ton of oversteer.

Heres the acutal lap times from my race:
Lap 1: 54.981
Lap 2: 49.630
Lap 3: 50.144

I have the F686/m race in the attachment.

Sorry I didn't get a time in this week; but the Pro All Japan Series needed a 6th driver to fill the field. :P

Well, crap! I didn't think that the results were due until Tuesday night, not Monday night!

I'd have edged out Niels G in the Div 3 gang, but that's purely by benefit of the 686's extra power, so it's moot.

Thanks for the lap breakdown 3rdgen, I'll check out your run the next time I drag the PS2 into the computer room:cheers:

And week 62 as i cant post it in the archived thread:
