Welcome to the end of another great week of racing.

First off, thanks for being patient, I just got the gtp back today. :D

I could barely do that much.

Looking forward to catching all of you in week 71, till then,
Later. :D

btw, since my time was no where near a winner, and my ps2 isn't on, I just went with what I knew I had and not the specifics of the 100ths & 1000ths.
Sorry, but if anyone wants I do believe I can post a replay. :D

Congrats to all the winners.

This is my best result so far. Ending in the the top half of the grid and beating all the division 2 guys. Feels good. :D

To celebrate I'd better post my replay. It will be up after work.

Congratulations to all the winners of each division and especially to Sphinx for that blazing run! Well done mate! 👍

My NTSC x-port replay can be viewed at this link (or at my GT3 Replays webpage): http://tuff240.com/images/gt3/tuff240week70.xps

*EDIT- My run has a slight wall touch at turn 2. I just noticed it in the analyzer comparing with someone elses lap. In sector 4 my speed drops from 39mph to 32mph and from the overhead shot you can see the slight deflection angle from touching the wall. So slight that I didn't notice it when racing or when viewing the replay normally. My apologies to everyone that spent the time to check their laps more thoroughly than I. :embarrassed:

I'll leave the replay up for a week or 2 if anyone wants to see what I'm talking about.

Please pull my time from the results Kent.

I did sit down with the intention of getting a time for this week but I found out that I havent even got the rally licences yet so it was going to take ages for me to do that and then win the car and then start the race !!

Apologies I didnt submit.

Whoa!!

Congrats to Sphinx, UB57, GT3Mich and NielsG. Truly awesome.

I never expected a top spot here, I'm very very pleased that my efforts last week have paid off. I'll say another thanks to Famine for that tuning guide of yours. Without it I would most definately have ended this one in 17th place. And to the others for posting their setups 👍 , I managed to gleen a little extra speed because of it.

I'll be publishing the OLR page on my web-site when I get back home from work tonight. I'll pop back in and let everyone know when it's up.

👍

Would love to see a PAL replay of this if anyone has one. This race more than most, I'd like to see where I was losing so much time. :ill:

Congrats ALL!!! For a job well done, especially on the toughest Rallye Track in GT3.
@ NielsG: Besting everyone in the Division above yours just might earn you an advancement!!! 👍...UB57 :D

Hope so, UB57. :D

Here's my PAL replay.

Wow! I honestly wasn't expecting a win :) I actually felt I was attempting to get a decent time just to save a little face in this WRS seeing that the mudslinger's were in town. It just goes to show there is still hope for us all :)

Congrats to Terrible Tigers(div 2), NielsG(div 3), all the other podium places and well done to everyone who took this baby on 👍 👍 👍

In the zip file below I have included 2 other PAL replays, the submitted 1,44.709, another clean 1,44.772 and my best time although dirty 1,44.430 :)

Damn tuff240, thats just bad luck mate. :ill: :ill: Pick yourself up mate and lets start wk 71! 👍

Thanks for the replay, Neils. Very instructive, and a bit daunting. There's no particular line or turn I can point to for where you were faster--I was simply outdriven and lost time all over the track. Oddly, I lost .3 to you on the first hairpin in each set, but then did the same sectors as you for the rest of the hairpins. I was the same through the hairpin s-bend in the middle as well, but I lost over .500 to you on the last hairpin before the tarmac right after T3.

Did you do anything special with settings or gears? I went close to GT3Mich's suggested setting, but then messed around with the gears b/c I didn't think it was quite fast enough. Didn't much help, though--whenever I'd be faster on the straights I"d spin in the corners.

Good run!

-------------

Edit: And thanks as well to Sphinx. Oh, my, those are fast. You're playing a completely different game to me!

Well done Sphinx! I knew a sub 1:45.xxx would win. I just could'nt put the whole thing together myself. Same to you, UB57. Nice driving. Some nice driving in Div 2 and 3 also 👍 . The Maze isn't one of my best Rally tracks but I thought I might have a shot a 1st. I guess Max E was wrong about Mr P coming in here at the last minute and beating all of us by two seconds.
Here is my run.
I'm going on Vacation this Monday for a week so I'll have a time for WRS #71 but not #72. Good luck everyone.

I was riding with pretty high LSD settings. It makes the car harder to turn and therefore more stable in the turns resulting in fewer spin outs in the tight hairpins of the Maze. I've learned in the ARC, that it is very useful for high powered cars in rally. When I increased these settings this week, I instantly gained control of my EVO, and the joyride started. :D
As far as I remember, it was the only major difference from GT3Mich's settings.

You can see my exact settings using either MK's GT3gEdit or Arwins Replay Manager.

Tuff240, I am very sorry to hear that.
I will not remove your name from the results.
This is going to be the final word on this... "just let it go".
(plus, I don't really feel like taking the heat again this week like I had to in week 69.) :irked:

👍
A move you earned, a move you want, a move you get. 👍
It is my honor to promote you to division 2. :D
Just remember to include your new division in your next time submission.
I will make the adjustments to the registered drivers list shortly.

Of course, once again I would like to congradulate all the people who completed a lap on this extremely challenging course in a car that made for an incredibly difficult race.
Good job everyone! 👍

Thanks, Kent. :) I've been working hard for this, since I returned from scuds Mini-cup. I think I'm ready. :D

Your timing is really great, since I don't like the walls at the Cote D'Azur and I'll properly mess up and end last in my new division. Well, it gives me something extra to fight for.

BTW. My debut in the weeklies in week 42 was also at Cote D'Azur. :D

1.2 seconds off the top, I guess it wasn't too bad. Great racing everyone 👍

Here's my replay and I put in my slower one also, since I could

Well,

Here we are at last. Just got back home at 11:40PM after a wicked Jamie Cullum concert at the Apollo in Manchester -- Amazing guy.

Anyway, my web-page will have to wait until tomorrow night to get published, in the mean-time here's both my PAL ghost and settings XPORT's

Thanks GT3mich, it certainly was an awkward drive for all of us. my main problem area was the left turn after T2, I lost count the amount of times I fouled up there.

Yeah I was lucky Mr P didn't show because as we all know he is awsome. Hey Ron, did you say you wanted a fiver for a no show, or was it a tenner mate? ;)

UB57, great run there 👍 👍 I really thought you had me. Just out of interest, any ideas where the time was lost?

THANX Sphinx  Wish we'd both done the run on PAL or NTSC!!! Then we could feed 'em into the Analyzer. If Ron would want to load them up & do a "Simul-View" I'd be glad to send mine over. (He's the only one I know w/both machines  ) Less than 1/10 SECOND Difference would make for a great analyzer session!!! ...UB57 :D

Since I'm not a direct part of this I have to apologize for buttin' in here but I gotta cause Niels is my bud...

GOOD JOB NIELS!!! YOU EARNED IT!!!

Gotta add something else as long as I'm here...

GoKents... you do a bangup job here dude!!! 👍 I don't race this cause right now I don't have the time slot but... I watch it religiously as do many others and we appreciate the effort too! Ignore the heat and keep up the good work!

Hey UB57, think I can get a copy of your replay?
I'd like to see exactly where I was losing all my time.

Will Do tuff240 👍
:D Though it'll be tomorrow AM & I'll post it here as well. PS2's "OFF" for the nite as I just spent 4+ hours testing another Race. My 5-Lapper ends in about 24 Hours & I hope to have another ready to go if anyone here's interested.

Congrats to Sphinx, UB57, GT3mich, Terrible Tigers, and NielsG. Some great racing all around. I had not touched GT3 for a couple of months but could not resist running a few at the 'Maze'. I had the sectors but could not put a decent lap together, felt a bit rusty, then got sidetracked into a bit of i-linking. :guilty: hehehe. Sorry me.;)

Great setup GT3mich. If I had known you were so close I might have tried a bit harder to get on the podium.;)

Thanks for the race GoKents.:)

See you all around.

Thank you, thank you very much. :D

That does mean a lot to me, especially as of late.

So until you can actually come and race with us, please do keep up with us and feel free to post any time you wish.

Thanks again for so many reasons. 👍
Till next time,

Bah! Don't listen to them Kent. I don't see anyone else stepping up to take the heat.
You do a fine job mate. 👍

Reason I'm posting is because I just watched UB57's week 70 replay.
Scorching fast time and 100% clean. Good job UB57, awesome run! 👍

Here is his ntsc x-port replay if anyone else would like to see it:
