you worded that wrong. It's not giving someone an unfair advantage. It's allowing people to handicap themselves by not properly maintaining their car.
Imo if you can't be bothered to push a couple menu buttons you deserve what you get with dirty oil or a wobbly chassis.

+1

Yeah I know. I just didn't have the time to put the miles on the car. I ran the Grand Valley enduro one day while I was watching TV but that wasn't enough to fully break it in.

In the case of an oil change yes...but I simply don't have the time to run 200 miles on a car to break it in. I'm just saying things would be easier if we just went to the lobby and the car was pre-selected like arcade mode. Then its all about racing...not about prepping the car. But lesson learned in any case. If I want to be competitive, I will have to let my b.spec driver prep the car for me. I was just too busy during the holidays to do that.

If you B-Spec'd it 300KM (186miles) you have 207HP. This is the one car that took me more then 186miles to break in, which was very strange, but if you ran a single online race after that and changed the oil, you're at 208HP.

So if you were down 6 HP, it is because you didn't change the oil, I'm afraid.

Great racing last night, I would like to mention that in last nights room, race 2, I got a massive grip reduction in turn 2 and temporarily in turn 5. It was like the grip line was moving?
Amazing pics!!!! Well done!!!!!!

In turn 2 and turn 5, were you directly behind someone? It could have been the lower grip caused by being in dirty air.

Thursday Room Race 2 Results:
  1. NEPALII
  2. Forcednduckshn
  3. Egghead43
  4. drama-kyd
  5. carracerptp
  6. Prostrho
  7. JoeyFast22
  8. dsgerbc
  9. Jay_B_II
  10. CSLACR

Points updated a bit later.
Did JoeyFast do a race2? He sure wasn't visible to me. Hope I didn't hit him :embarrassed:

Good point. He was not in that race. How the hell did I put him there?

Edit: I know, I copied the results from race 1 down to race 2, moved people around and forgot to delete him. :dunce:

I was glued to NEPALs bumper for 3 times though that corner - there was a small grip reduction.
I was doing 28.7-8s in Sector 1. I had to slow more so as not to hit NEPAL.
Then, no front grip.
29s and worse.
I tried to use the gas to get it to rotate, but it was like it shifted all the grip to the back tires.

🤬 Strangest spin ever.

I was watching the race for replays. Then I saw a black car just snap out of view. I was shocked how fast that car turned into the wall.

Honestly it looked to me like the guy I kicked last night took you out.

He also hit jav in the race opening. Not intentional but avoidable.

Yeah I didn't even twitch the wheel before it was turned 90 degrees.
Oh well, I love Tsukuba, hopefully I'll do better there.

1) I think the car collision sounds should be the same outside the car, in other views.
2) You drive that thing well enough it make me think I'm driving a different car.
3) What's your race finish music from? Custom?

1)You mean it should sound the same as how it sounds from the outside?
2) haha, compliment?
3) I've never heard anyone else's so I always thought that was just the standard music. Now I'm interested in hearing others' .

Same music mine plays. Can't make it play custom for starting/finishing and certain menus to my knowledge. (like GTAuto)

And here's that video I was talking about:

Thanks for that, it's really nice being able to watch myself on a live recording from someone else's car. It's like being able to follow myself :D

Biggest thing I noticed is that once you throw in the internet lag and brain-foot lag I brake a lot later than I think I do. Now I know why I keep having trouble when I try to find alien speed by braking as late as I think they do... I apparently already do. gg internet

I'll get you next week though. 👍

Better mediocre braking and great exits, then great braking and mediocre exits, as they say.

Could you have told me that about 4 months ago?
I was trying so hard to brake as deep as the fast guys. Wasted a night online (I had yet to figure out trail breaking)
After that I decide to go back to slow in - fast out 💡 .

Better mediocre braking and great exits, then great braking and mediocre exits, as they say.

Chasing countless ghosts and comparing replays in the data logger (the only use i've ever found for it) during the academy, the guys in the NE (fixbywire, 3wide, blindside, and forced specificially) were murdering me on the brakes. Ever since then I've been consciously working on it.
Now you're right, I need to figure out how to turn my new found entry speed and stability into exit velocity. Not fearless enough with WOT yet, anytime I'm behind an alien they always seem to be getting on it and staying on it earlier than my brain wants me to try.

Still need some more re-programming. ;)

After that I decide to go back to slow in - fast out 💡 .

the real trick is trying to find "fast-in fast-out" :D

Of course, we always aim for fast in fast out, just that the "out" is generally much more important, especially before long straights.

I've also only recently began trail-braking, since I spent the last 10 years working solely on exit speed, I'm pretty well covered there. Just braking left for me, that's where I lose 9/10ths of the time I lose to aliens.

I'm now working on "fast-in, fast-through, fast out"

I'm still losing most of my time mid-corner.

I find if I'm more than a second off pace, I'm braking were I don't need to be.

1)You mean it should sound the same as how it sounds from the outside?

3) I've never heard anyone else's so I always thought that was just the standard music. Now I'm interested in hearing others' .

I prefer the "bump" sound over the shattering glass sound , or whatever it is. My music is definitely different.

I'm a solid consistent slow-in-fast-out driver. I'll experiment in practice mode or following ghosts but once I race online I don't bother with those extra 10ths. I was consistently 7/10ths off pace at GVE-R but except for the lap with Gray Fox bumping me when I over shot my brake zone, I usually drive fast enough to hang in the draft but slow enough to avoid those off track escapades.

I wish there were more spec seasonal trials for me to practice with ghosts. The last one I tried drove me nuts because SFR was enabled and it totally messed with how I drove.

So if you guys were randomizing names for a B-Spec driver and came across R.Schuhmacher would you go with it? That extra "h" in the middle tells me no...

Alright, this series sounds awesome, with some fantastic drivers. Thursdays are also perfect for me. I may not be able to make all of the races... I know I don't have enough time for this but.... Bahh!!! Sign me up!!!

PSN: Forcednduckshn
Color: Black/Neon Green Wheels

Can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use crappy Tires? Like Sports Hards, Comfort Softs or Comfort Mediums?? It's super fun that way!!! Please!!! :)
Hahahaha:dunce:

There are 3 Schuhmacher drivers, I forget the initials. no "m" though.:irked:

At one point I had all three, (searched for more, but apparantly the game won't allow doubles).
They don't really drive any better though. It's probably the extra H.

I've come across countless famous last names, but have yet to find the correct first initial, which usually ends up being one that's just slightly off. :( (like J.Yamauchi)

Anyway, we're going to be making some changes to these races unfortunately, due to online being simply unplayable until they fix whatever problem needs fixed. That means we will be running rooms with no more than 10 people on track. 👎

To be honest I think it's a "growing" bug.
It felt like it happened a small amount in 3 player practice races last night even. It seems it gets a little worse growing to 10-11 cars, and then falls off a cliff at 12+.

I used to call if "draft handling" for those wondering. I thought PD changed it when they put in weak/strong slipstream, so cars handled worse while in another cars draft, but I've found it happens when you're not in-line too. (not in draft, but following closely)

So Tuesdays room will be capped at 11 people. I hate these things, but it's the best way to get an idea of who's attending. For those that are 100% sure they are attending the race on Tuesday night, add your name to the list.

I'd also like everyone to try their best to finish the races. If you're planning on being there, but quit after 2 laps, it's best to give your spot to someone else.

The early Thursday worked out perfect with my schedule so I'm not going to rock the boat and plan on attending that one again.

Are we using the chicane?
