I wanted to try out something new -- I updated my spreadsheet to help select the lowest PP car for a given event category. It will create an average PP of cars that have achieved victory, compare it to the recommended car/race PP to create a ratio, then use that ratio and a small handicap value to generate a new target.

Some seemed to be borderline impossible, like the All-JGTC event (~698 PP; No Ref.) and Hypercar Parade (631 PP) with the cars I tried to use. In the Hypercar event I was lacking everything. For the special event, the tag team of J.Serrano not defending and K.Drumont being overpowered was just too much this time.

Winning cars for this week... (Hard)

The Clubman Cup and Porsche Cup races ended up being pretty brutal and took quite a few attempts to the win. At least 90% of the restarts could be attributed to coming in too hot into T1 at HSR or AI being somewhat erratic at the Norsdschleife. I needed to push like mad for both.

Right at the end of the session, I broke the mount to my wheel, so hopefully I can get that replaced before next week!

8/27/2024:
I decided to upload the replays for both of these races since I don't think any photo could do them justice.

That’s strange I used my ZR-1 Stock and smashed the field!! The car felt amazing too.. it’s one of my Favorite cars in the game!
I think once you put a suspension on a road car it can get wonky. I am not sure. There was a thread about the new M3 E36 doing the same thing. My Vette was fine before 1.49 but now, not so much...

No replay value for me this week. I did manage to pull a six star on the daily ticket that paid out 500K when I finished the last race. I always try to use cars I haven't touched in a while and was pleased with the XJ220 for the hypercar event. I already forgot what I used for the other races.

The weeklies have been less than inspiring lately. I have trouble finding time to want to complete them. Such a good aspect of the game and they screw the pooch with repeats and less than stellar combos.

Ugh... Catalunya and Willow Springs.... Terrible tracks in my opinion.

Eiger reverse is ok, but the normal direction is waaaay better.

European Clubman 600 at Suzuka and Historic Masters at Nordschleife are worth repeating and testing different cars. These are the highlights of the week to me.

I wish PD could set the increase reward bonus in the weeklies, just like they did few weeks ago in the online races.

Wow I didn't see Big Willow is used in the truck race. And Barcelona too? Wow it could have been worst. They could have added St. Croix and one of the Tokyo tracks :ill::yuck::yuck::yuck::yuck:. For me that trio of tracks is not good. If I didn't know any better I would say they PD is singling me out 🤣🤣🤣 and adding tracks that they know I don't care for. 🤣🤣🤣 Before anyone takes me too seriously I am just kidding I don't believe PD created the WC with me in mind 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The new wheel mount (fixation kit?) came in the mail yesterday, so pretty much ready to go once the free-and-alone time comes up again.

There are some other data related things that I'd like to work on, so I probably won't be touching it until the weekend anyway.

So Eiger reverse again? What is this like the 3rd week in a row for that track? Why not the regular track? Let me stop complaining because it will probably show up next week with the RedBull 2019 version 🤣 .
To tell the truth, i prefer Eiger than any form of..... Saint Croissant 🤣
At least is short and you can do a simple Wash&Go.
Ticket again which means whatever from around 300k from a car that you can sell up to 1 million ( for the lucky ones ) or even more if a universe conspiracy occurs.

Yeah I feel like they made St. Croix like they designed a track by numbers and wanted to make sure they added everything that is supposed to make a track enjoyable and created a mess of a track IMO

I agree with you, this track is stupid. Even if I know and love the real place where it took some inspiration (or maybe all the more so...)

Worse. The hypothetical horror of RedBull 2019s at Eiger Reverse would not only become a Special Event (repeated twice that month), it would be the ONLY Weekly Special Event that PD would add as a permanent race to single player. It's totally going to be a Time Trial event too.

Tire wear will be comically high (only for us) and the AI will have extra magic grip in the hairpins.

Bonus 1: we start 30 seconds behind the race leader.

Bonus 2: PD does a physics update that makes accelerating out of low speed corners with the Redbull even more annoying.

A110 again so soon. Super Trucks should be cool.
It should be the last time the A110 is featured in a Special Event as this is the third appearance.
6* ticket. Prepares for disappointment.
At least 500,000 Cr. is the most likely outcome. I can remember 5-stars being the "ultimate" prize, with cars worth less than 480,000 Cr. and "special" tuning parts showing up more often than 500,000 Cr. and invitations showing up almost as often.

Looks like they try pretty hard to push Eiger.....
It's been there 4 of the 6 eligible weeks, missing just last week and the week of 8/9. Both Special Events, and the World Rally Challenge Gr.B (the last 3 races), have been on the reverse.

Interesting stat. Would that mean impending doom after the next JGTC event?
The JGTC event hit its 3-race mark last week, so that should be it for that. We should get another Porsche 356 race (that's at 2) sandwiched between two Gallardo (or BAC Mono) races (both are at 1, and I assess the Mono to be more likely to be a 1-and-done like the elderly Fiat 500), then another set of 3-4 special events.

I got a DeLorean that I sold for like 227k in one of them.

Or you don’t race there at all. Honestly, a 6* ticket or even a 500k ticket is not worth racing a track that you don’t like. If you are desperate for the credits run Tokyo or Lemans and make 800k credits in 25-30 minutes.

You show PD your dissatisfaction by not doing what they are spoon feeding you. Their servers have all the data on everything. They will see that certain races are not popular and they will stop putting them on the list. Plain and simple.

I haven’t played GT7 in a week and I’m totally okay with that. The weekly races are not keeping me on their servers. Their new physics change is not keeping me on their servers. The more who stop giving in to what PD is giving you the faster they realize what they are putting out is not what their player base wants.

Weird week, we have Eiger again and the other races are all over the place with difficulty. European Clubman Cup is considerably harder than it used to be, couldn't even get close in cars I used to be able to win with apart from the AMG GT R where the field was just 10 seconds slower for whatever reason. Most attempts at that race I would've needed 3 combined laps under 6:35 to even get close to winning which in stock road cars under 600 PP didn't seem possible. Historic Sports Car Masters was great fun, easy race but there's a lot of interesting stuff you can use and there's the possibility of weather too. WTC 800 I didn't care for just because I greatly dislike the GP layout of that track, that stupid chicane just ruins it.

Cars for the week:
