Weekly Photography Week 19

Well, I think I've come up with a cool topic. A member suggested some ideas, and I'm putting one in here.

We're going to to Nature as our theme, but that's not it, it has to be Nature in Black and White.

Some of you may not be able to use B&W on your cameras, or may not even have a program to convert it from color to B&W on your computer, such as Photoshop, however, if you have an entry and can't figure out how to get it to B&W, whatever the way you tried may be, send me a PM with the image in it and I'll convert it for you. 👍

On the subject of Nature.. I don't think it'll be hard for anyone to find a subject, so there are no excuses this week. Everyone should participate!

Incase you're wondering why I chose to make all the entrys B&W this week, think about it like this: Someone takes a picture of a sunset, they're not going to immediately win because of the beautiful colors! They'll have to pay more attention to creativity in concerns to stuff such as overall composition, DOF, shadows, etc etc.. Basically, it means you'll need to worry less about how the colors will look, but more creativily.. About how the photograph as a whole looks. 👍

I'd been wanting to do a B&W week many times, but seeing someone suggest it supported my idea, so I went with it.

I've been really busy with work and life and such. I just transfered to a new store in a not-so-great area of town with a not-so-great vibe along with 55+ hour work weeks. Also, my girlfriend, whom I'm deeply, deeply in love with is moving away this month. The thought of us being apart for a year combined with my career has put me into a negative slump that I think I'm just coming out of. So, not only is most of my time taken up, but my emotions haven't been in there either.

If I get something to turn in, I certainly will, but I don't want to hold the competition up.

Burnout, I can see both of your images. FusionCSES must be back up. I like the second image more than the first image, so I would use the second image.
