cinjun8 taking the coveted 1st place trophy in the vicious Amateur division by just barely edging out Ellegance. Nice work!

With only 5 hours put into this I'm not too unhappy with the result. I was expecting times deep into the low eights. Maybe even clean 8...

Great job eveyone! Especially ODP, great run with a limited amount of work! Just so you know i had a 1.09.3XX as well but dropped a wheel, and I was unable to repeat or beat it in the free time I had.. Excellent run dude!

Without the last ditch effort, CFM would have bested me by .004sec.
That extra HP really helps in the high speed sections.

Nice racin' all, 'specially ODP & CFM! 👍 I knew I left a lot on the track, but like I said I always suck at that course. I seem to be getting a bit better at it at least.

I tried adding the TCS back on at the last minute, but that didn't help me any.

I disconnected my TCS and added a little to the engines rotating mass instead. Ie. a slightly heavier fly wheel and stock drive shafts instead of carbon. Helped tons...

Bummer that I held back on the last corner. I lost 3/10ths in that sector over my best lap before that. I would have been in first place!

Good job everyone! I must say that I am impressed with this week's racing; I mean, 3 people in the beginner league! Well, down to business; I ight not get a time in this week, and I'm supposed to be fasting all non-communicative entertaining media for 40 days for church (starting October 4th), and so can't be racing (or photoshopping) for 4-5 weeks (cries). Oh well, who knows, maybe the lack of the game will give me time to improve my racing status (NOTE: I will still be around, so I can see what's happening around here, I just won't be able to participate in any of the races or competitions elsewhere on the forum).

Ok.. Well, I have noticed that ever since I joined up to this forum, that I have not had enough time to spend on setting good times. My problem is that I probably only have really 1 decent hour a week to actually spend on it...

I have had a little bash a a few of the last few weeks probably only spending like 30 min to 1 hour on each. And I couldn't get to within 2 seconds of some of the slowest times that have been posted as results... But, I had a spare 2 hours tonight, and worked on this (last) weeks challenge. I think that my main challenge is that I need to spend enough time to sort out decent setups, because I spent 2 hours on this session, and came up with the following time for the DB7...

1:10.378

So, maybe I just need to make more time for the races, and less time for everything else in my life.... Maybe not.. Anyway, I will try to enter most races where I can from now on, and hopefully, things can only get better. Maybe I'll learn a thing or two while I am at it.

Thats the idea, there is only gt3!! no school, no work, no friends...just gt3!!! hehe, j/k Seriously tho thats what it comes down to, time. The more you have, the better you can do. Some people it comes to more naturally than others, like it might take me 2 hours to come up with something a top pro could do in like 15 minutes, but if that top pro spent 2 hours they could pull somthing REALLY amazing. Just stick with it, ask questions when you need to, we're here to help...you WILL get better
