Wuuhuuuuuu :D

Replay due when I get home !

And DANG... 2 seconds up from ODP.. That is SCARY fast !... Can't wait to see your replay man ! Kudos 👍

Nice times there everyone, if I submitted a time this week it would have been a 1:14,015 ... but that does not mean anything now. Had a party over the week-end, and someone was playing music CD's through the playstation ... and guess what ... wiped my WHOLE GT3 save ... 75% complete ... ALL GONE !!! :banghead: So I guess I'm out for the rest of the WRS, have started over, but only on 10% now ... :(

Congrats everyone. Very close.
Flerbizky: I'm second overall. Never buy a Promise RAID controller again.
DSMAZDAGTR: You have nothing to worry about. Nice time, BTW.👍

Thanks boom. ;)

Ohh.. ****... Didn't notice that one :irked: DSMAZDAGTR... Better hand over that replay so I can learn a little :D Congrats !...

And I won't.. Bought a 3Ware instead with 8 160Gb disks. Tons better....

Stoopid computers... Lost my bloody post... Grr...
(mum's pc is crap).

As I was saying, that this week was a great competition, and having racing down to 0.006 seconds difference is certainly more entertaining than racing the computer drones and lapping them over and over again.

I must put in a big thanks to T13R, who without posting up his settings, and times I would have given up and posted my previous best which was about 1.5 seconds slower. But seeing his times made me think that surely I could do better, so started again with a stock car, re-upgrading. Goes to show that a certain amount of the racing is in driving talent, and the rest is in your ability to tune the car. So you guys that were racing all the way down to the 1:14 times are still racing very well. Maybe if you had of stumpled across a simliar setup to our that you might have been taking even more time off your laps.

Unfortunately (as I said in my last (lost) post) I do not have access to one of those funky PC transfer things. But I can try and capture the lap into a mpeg. But the PS doesn't seem to capture too well, but I will try this week to give it a go.

Thanks for the good competition this week. I was really having to push to the limits with around 1000km run in two cars (albiet about 800 of those in the slower first car).

Can't wait for the next comp. And all I can say is bring on the live GT4 online racing... Until then, keep on racing..

Later...

D

Oh no. If you can get a X-Port, you can download a game save and transfer it to your memory card (if you're not opposed to that sort of thing).

Next time yank that card first.

Bummer :(

well i got a 1:13:776 good enough for third in amuture (if boom postes it)

Nice racing everyone, and very nice times from ODP, CFM and DSMAZDAGTR 👍

That was a close one IDAFC21, good job :)

Talk about a bad time to take a break on. Oh well, I'm out of the races for a bit, probably a few weeks. I will be back, enjoy and drive hard!

Wow, I'm really surprised by the results. My splits on my best lap were 17.119 / 46.437 and I almost beat 2 guys with T2's of 45.9:eek: I watched ODP's replay vs. mine in the analyzer and I made up about .200 in the colesium turn and about .300 in the final turn as ODP used his brakes and I did not. ODP's speed at the finish line was 167 and mine was 174. On the colesium turn I couldn't tell if you made a bit of a mistake and slid off line but my line is rather different through there which got me through a bit faster. I was shooting for an overall time of about 1.11.650 or so and I figured at least a couple of you would have gotten into the 1.11's...lately I've been really trying to hammer the last sections of the track on most races and it has been paying off most of the time. Anyway here's my replay, there is an extremely close call on the first left after T1 but I think it's clean all the way, but you can't get any closer I guarantee:eek: . Good racing all, don't know if I'll be aroound for the next week or two as well as the Board Challnge 3 is going to be taking up 110% of my time the next two weeks. Gotta represent the GTP with my best effort,y'know:cool:

And What the heck are you complaining about? Usually I slaughter half of the Amateur Division, but this week I lost by a mile. Try to look things over more thoroughly before you complain about your circumstances; at least you're not last place overall...

(BTW, to find out why I'm so friggin' pissed, PM me or refer to the post I will make in a little bit in the Rumble Strip...)

I wasnt complaining, I was commenting on my situation and dont get angry at me cuz of the way you finished. I had nothing to do with that. (If you want to argue at me send me a pm so the thread doesnt go downhill.)

I'll see what I can do tonight about it...
Then I'll just need to find a place to host it...

Did anyone notice that little typo: BDSM

Given I only just typed it a few seconds ago... Hardly....

But.... guess I must've hit backspace one too many times.... Whoops... :banghead:

What cracked me up was the "" right after though... like if IDAFC21 had found something new and very interesting

Had I know final times would end up like this, I would have put a bit more time into this one.

I ran 2 sessions, one for settings and one for racing.

The race session put me down at 1.13.1 with a 47.1, however, I know that would have come down if I had put in my usual 10 session race week. (with ease :D )

Sorry for not submitting, but like most of you know from my other post.

The bc3 warm ups & race, along with 3 mid terms this week (all of which had to be worked/studied last week) made it hard for me to get in the time to put down a competitive time.

I figure week 34 might get some attention from me.

But mostly, let my experience this week serve as a reminder to all... turn in your time regardless of what you think of it, you might just do well. ;)

:P  I didn't start running until Monday morning. :P With jetlag to boot. :D Crashed for 6hrs, ran errands and had another go at it.

I had already figured that my final time wouldn't be that hot (and I said so in the race thread).
If my initial fast lap (1:12.168) would have been clean, I assure you, I would have barged the final section on my submitted lap. But, I wanted to make sure it was clean and when the car didn't yaw on entrance to the final turn, I backed off.
If I had made 1:11.8.
Then, me happy.
As it stands, I'm indifferent.
I haven't seen your replay, but from your final and what you posted for splits, I know the third section was fast.
Also, from your post in the race thread, I had a feeling your final would be a sleeper.
Anyway, good racin'.
Good luck with the Board Challenge, to you and the entire GTP team. 👍 👍 👍 👍

Finally.. Forgot all about it yesterday....

Well, I taped off the run last night onto the video camera, and brought all the stuff into work today to capture it for you guys, but sadly... I seem to have forgotten the cord that goes from the video camera to output the video... Damn.....

Ok... Well, I now have two mpegs. One of the lap from standard sideline camera, and one from inside the car. I think the outside car is about 15Mb, and the inside is 12Mb... If anyone wants a copy, what is the best way to get it to you?

I'm currently waiting on finding out if I can get a X-port here in oz, so hopefully I will be able to get one in the future, and post up a proper replay. But until then, this is the best I can do.
