Like I said though, most of those turns don't send me into a wall, they just cause me to lose a bunch of time.
I think increasing the spring stiffness and increasing the downforce helped... but I'm not really certain of that. I also don't know what the hell to do with the camber, so I left it alone.
Last night at about 11pm I figured out how to take that last high speed right hander in T1. It made me realize sub 15.5 T1 times are possible (though 15.641 is my best T1 time to date).
Swiss alps seems smoother than the other rally courses, especially compared to tahiti, so stif springs and lower ride heights seem to work here than other rallys. The only REALLY nasty part that doesn't allow you to run super stiff is from the start/finish to the corner mentioned above. If that wasn't there times would be lot lower.
The biggest pain is the first right hander in T2 for me....take is slow and dump a ton of time but stay onlin and setup for the next lefty or take it fast and try to stay out of the bushes or power slide too much and hope you can gain control of the rear end of the car again my that first lefty...that is the debate. Once this race is over it will be interesting to hear people's lap philosophy/car setup for the course, etc....even car choice is huge for this race.
That last walled twisty section in T3 is a pain and frustrating because I have watch my great T1 and T2 times disappear in those two corners, especially the exit. But "I think" I found the correct line through them last night, now i jsut gotta go back this weekend and confirm it.
what fun this is!
it beats the hell out of blitzing the AI over and over (and over and over).
Not mention the WRC 04 season started today! I've been avoiding reading any site with mention of the standings so I can be surprised when i see it on Speed sunday night!!!!
