I think the new Mitsu Colt is wierd, it has an auto that the only gear in it is actually D (for drive) and once it reaches a certain revs it stops there. The speed keeps rising but the revs stay the same. That's not how drive works, drive switches through gears for you.

yeah but its not weird is it. i think anthor weird car is the toyota 7. whats the deal with it? also anthor one is the audi streamline car it looks like a fish.

CF, that doesn't look weird to me, that looks like pure AW3S0M3.

IMHO, the weirdest looking car in the game has to be the Acura DN-X, but it handles quite well. The strangest drive, though, has to be the GT-R concept LM car. It has the oddest shift in the game. The Peugeot 905 has a strange shift, as well, but it's pretty easy to get used to. I just never could "bond" with the GT-R...

Acura CL-S. As much as I love that car (family owned one for three years), it just doesn't seem like the kind of car you would find in that game. Now if they had the TL, it would be a whole different story...

Wrong on both counts.

Weird is the correct spelling. Wierd doesn't exist. ('s OK, I know you were joking! )

The Mitsubishi Colt, along with the Mitsubishi i Concept and Honda Fit uses a CVT (Constantly Variable Transmission) which has a single Drive gear that varies with speed, hence the reason that it stays in D and maintains around 5000RPM at any speed.

You're thinking of a conventional Automatic gearbox in Drive mode which is simply an automatic shifting device which shifts gears typically though 4, 6 or even 8 gears (in the case of the Skyline Sedan 350 GT-8 '02) based on speed and RPMs. This is what you'll see if you drive any car (other than a CVT one) in GT4 using Automatic gears instead of Manual mode. You're effectively chucking an automatic car in D and letting it do the work of changing gears for you.
