Weird Daily Workout Redux

So I just logged into my profile on my brother's playstation so that I can purchase a few mileage exchange items before they are replaced next week. The reason I'm doing this is because i just moved into a new house and I'm having to wait three weeks to have internet installed. Anyways as soon as I loaded the game I have been recieving daily workout rewards nonstop for everyday since 1/1/18. It is still in the works as I write this and I'm up to 3/5/18 and still going with this glitch... I'm freaking out thinking my progress had been wiped for some reason. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS?

Yes I have. I lost 3 months of game achievements. I think you have uploaded an old save.

Nope, I basically lost ninety days. It happened to me on my single PS4, maybe you’re ok, because it was on your brothers machine.

It usually redelivers your prize cars if you have not collected them from a previous daily workout so it is normal if you
login on a different machine it will try to deliver all the prize cars again.

Not quite sure why you are going all the way back to January but you should probably let it complete and then make sure to backup the new save to online storage before you get back to your own console.

Update: After I recieved over 100 daily workout cars the home screen came up. The game then autosave. It was like gt loaded from the last save I did on that particular ps4. Which is ridiculous because gts is all online saves and has hassled me to no end about playing offline at my new house. I had my girlfriend bring over my ps4 to see what it would boot up to and it loaded at that same point during January but after I got the car's. Strange thing is unlike when my save data corrupted I didn't lose all of my liveries, photos and decals. My library still showed a car a made and did not share from 6/18/ I have all that still but the in game achievement tracker does not reflect it. Unless there is a way to reload from my 6/18 save all my race progress is lost..

You're 100% correct I lost all my unshareded liveries and 10% of progress a few months back. Now i have my liveries but an missing 70% of my progress on and offline. This could've all been avoided by having a cane of saves or multiple save slots

From what i have read, online saving prevents hacking. Many other online games suffer from illegal game mods which all but ruin the game as a competitive environment. Having forced online saves is supposed to mitigate this by letting them access your save data and weed out any illicit activity

That's all fine and dandy but they should make it to where you can restore your save data when something like this happens.. this is twice now I've had tup restart this game. Once due to a corrupt save and once due to signing into my account on a different playstation.

Just upload your game data to the network each time you exit out of the game. I do this at least weekly to back up my game data

Yes. The reason is the game comparing the online save to the save on the console.
For some reason, the old save will overwrite your progress. The only way to prevent this, is to manually download your cloud save from your main console. Finally, upload the save one you’re done, and download it from the cloud back to your main console.

Bad news is, this is preventable but not recoverable.

I had to do a similar reboot when I had a corrupted save. I'll probably lose my unshareded liveries but they aren't anything special. I'm going to give this a shot and continue on with whatever I have left...

I was also very happy some time ago getting all the “forgotten” dailys until I realised this was bad news. Also 3 months of effort gone. Worst thing was no nice car from all the dailys. Not one single car over 1 million. Losing 3 months of data would be worth it if I won the Jaguar or Ferrari or Miura.

My mistake was a wrong button (download instead of upload) but at least I was working on preventing the thing I had created myself. Good thing was the DR was kept. The count of races etc was gone.
