Weird dots appear on my cars whenever I repaint

Hi, I seem to have an error that I've not seen anywhere else - maybe I'm just doing something really wrong? Whenever I go into the livery editor and change the colour of my car, save the scheme and then go racing with the car, the vehicle shows up on the track covered in weird dots (see images - the white Testarossa was originally red and the 300ZX was a blueish colour - now they both have dots on). The dots go away when I go back into the editor, but otherwise they're usually present. Sometimes they change pattern. What can I do to stop this? Help!

Some more examples below. I've tried deleting the save data off my PS5, deleting the game and reinstalling - nothing cures this. If I do anything to change the appearence of any car - not just painting but adding a wing, giving the vehicle a widebody, anything - the dots appear and even reverting the car back to its original paint scheme doesn't fix it. The dots won't go away and the only option is the discard the car.
Seems like maybe my inaccessible savegame - the one held by PD remotely - might be bugged?

Looks like your cars got smallpox.

Seriously… that is absolutely odd. Do you see this problem in any other game?

To have that popping up on the car preview on the garage is really weird and I wonder if it ain’t something with the GPU of your PS5 unit.

GPUs either work or they don't. They don't often create images that don't exist on a surface like that. If it were across the entire frame, it could be the GPU. This looks like hidden uv mapping data that is being rendered for some reason.

Not completely true. Specially when thermal solutions are involved. A very hot or faulty GPU can yield a myriad of glitches.

Blue screens, stuttering, screen glitches, artifacts are among the signs that a GPU may be faulty or slowly dying.

Yep. This is none of those things. It's marks on the surface of the model probably used for uv mapping points in the creation of the model for the application of decals.

Yeah, it's a pretty odd bug. Looks like some vertexes were ignoring the car paint shader. Is it still happening?

I'm on the PS5 (first model with the older fan and cooling block) and I haven't seen that here.
