Weird problem on 24 hours at the ring

Ok so my card got corrupted last month do to a power loss. I have been rebuilding my garage and now I want the f1. I started on the 24 hours of Nurburgring and drove for the first 4 hours or so. I switched to b-spec and went to bed. In the morning everything was looking good, my Benz touring car was a lap up on the red bull A4. I dropped back his speed to 1 to reduce the gap. 2 more hours pass. All good, we are on the same lap again. I set the speed up to 2. I came back 15 minutes later and it looks like the car is broken... Pedro (my b-spec driver) is pooching down the long straight at only 120! Has he fallen asleep? Tires were all still good so I brought him into the pits to drive the car myself. Did 3 laps and upped my lead a bit. Car felt fine. Oil light isnt even on yet. I pit and hand the car to Pedro again and He pulls out and is driving like the race is over!! He is doing parade laps. After about a half a lap I am watching the A4 pass Pedro from the 14000ft lead I left him with. Going through corners at 30mph where everyone else is doing 90.
Looks like I am going to have to finish the race on my own. Not a huge issue I guess. Could use the practice. I searched and didnt find anything similar to this problem. Has this happened to anyone else?

Issue was noticed at around 18'56.xxx into the race.

Yeah I had been letting Pedro drive for a while unsupervised so he was always getting a full tank on pits. The tire cycle leaves a half tank when he comes in. He has around 7500 spec points and for the first 2/3 of the race he was just walking the competition with the speed at 2. Lap times were around 7'19, since the issue arose the times dropped to over 9minutes. I am running the rest of the race A-spec right now. Wish i could fire the driver and get a new one!

Are you sure you have B-spec set to "overtake" if not the driver will follow the car in front of him without passing him so if he's doing a lap time of 9.99 guess what you will too. Might also bump him to speed 3.

Yes. That happened with me. My minolta was being beaten by an ALFA 155. Put Overtake mode on, and in two minutes I had lapped him again.

Overtake light was on. There were no cars anywhere near my car. I bumped him up to 5 and still he is driving as if the race was over. Slowing way too early, way too much. Thinking i got some kind of glitch.

Well I was gonna guess the overtake thing too...but looks like you already been there. Pedro must be bored with racing; perhaps he needs a vacation. Perhaps he wants you to let him play one of the bimbos in Dead or Alive :sly: naw...I don't know what the answer is actually.

I had the same problem once although it was at the El Captain 200 Miles. Everything seemed normal, overtake light was on etc. but after a pit stop he came out and was driving ridiculously slow. I let him go for 2 laps to see if things improved but they didn't so i bought him back in and took over myself.

I finished the race and have used him again since with no problems at all. I don't have an answer but i can say it has happened to me also.

👍 I guess Pedro was freaking out so he went and had a beer. I brought him back into the race at 23hours to see what would happen. He is back to normal running consistent 7'15 lap times. Now just hoping it doesn't freeze when the clock hits 24:nervous:

I have all the black lmp's except the r390 because i didn't really want it. After reading about the permanent power losses I didn't want the wear on one of those cars. The Benz ran great and is easily replaceable. I forgot to check the mileage on the car but changed the oil before the big race and started with 627hp. After the race I had 587hp. Did another oil change. The light was not on yet! Back up to 617hp. A loss of 10hp on a single (yes long) race.
Hey great to hear that I am not the only one this has happened to!!

I'm sure this happened to me in one of the 4hour races or something like that. Back then my b-spec skill was a bit lower. I was well into the race and had the lead but when he came out the pits he was just plain slow. I got overtook so though 🤬 this, and drove the next laps myself. Got a really big lead then cause ur always miles better than bob unless u have like 9000+ b points. Anyway, we had half an hour or so of the race left. That meant i wouldn't have to pit again after this. So i gave bob i go and he was fine. Back to his usualself. I'm sure the track was infinion - i didn't think anything of it at the time i just automatical a-speced for a bit. Possibly ur b-spec driver gets tired if u b-spec to much  or he just got bored:lol:

Bamboozles me :P

Does Pedro have a lot of skill? I never had a problem like yours, but one time i was in a 88C-V Minolta, and he was being beat by a 2D!:ouch: He wasn't going that slow, I think the other car was on steroids! either that or its just a bug that goes around.

Pedro needs a raise  and benefits. Since he's not getting paid for peanuts he's taking it out on you in passive-agressive ways. :ill:

so seems like u won the race and everything is alright now. no need for me to add anything here but just wanted to share what happened with bob and me at the 24h ring race. well, unsupervised he did laps for laps and when i came back he past the pit entrance and i saw that there was no fuel remaining... so one whole lap cruising at 80kp/h... how frustrating that was... even though i had a 2 lap lead... :P

If you use the Black R92CP you will win surefire; providing you have it.:)
Have you read the thread enough to realize it's NOT a car choice problem? He's driving enough car. The problem is that his B-spec driver suddenly turned into a granny for some reason.

We appreciate users who try to help, but it's NOT helping if you don't even read the problem clearly before firing off an answer.

Did you closely watched him driving?

When doing the La Sarthe II enurances races, your B-Spec driver soemtimes crashes into the barries along the big straight. If he crashes, he will get back on track, driving slwly for several metres but other than "did he ran out of fuel?" I can't possibly think of what the cause could be

A bug? Has it ever happened before you had the corrupt gamesave problem?

This is a known bug. If you still need to drive it and need some info on it, here's a thread:

yer i had a similar problem on the ring - because bob goes quite fast down the straight he forgets to brake to pit and goes spinning off and ends up driving into the pit barrier for 1min or so, i was so peeved off i was like just reverse and drive backwards! but after about 2mins of waiting i gave up and bob wnet around the ring in deep red tires and hardly any fuel, for the last half of the lap he had none so was going around at 80 or something. He kept spinning off :grumpy: - silly bob!

You guys are awesome! I appreciate all the thoughts and advice! Well the problem was not running into stuff, he was just driving real slow, not as slow as running out of gas but way too slow.Pedro knows the ring pretty well with a bit over 7000 points. When I put him back in the car after around 3 hours off he seemed to be fine and I have since let him drive a few other cars on different tracks and he is back to normal. Now there is no way in hell I am going to give him a raise! Maby I will fire him and hire his brother Jesus!
