Weirdest car you've ever seen.

When I first got GT2, sure, I thought a lot of cars were weird; the Espace, all those little Japanese cars shaped like boxes, the Phaeton...but the one that I thought was the weirdest looking (and also most awesome) was the Shelby Cobra. The first time I won it the color was black, and it looked so bizarre and utterly awesome, like some sort of cartoon mafia car with that weird roof and front end, that I was stunned.

Of course you have to realize that at the time, I was not a car person and had never even heard of the Cobra, not to know what it was. I could recognize things like the Viper and some other cars like that, but the Cobra? No.

all those little Japanese cars shaped like boxes, the

I second this. To an American like myself who'd never heard of Kei cars, all the little rolling mailboxes were strange. The Alto Works, the Honda Lifes, etc. The TVR Speed 12 was another oddity.

On GT2, my pick for the oddball of the bunch was the R Skyline Silhouette Foumula R30 race car (written as it was shown on my copy of GT2). I remember thinking that was one of the strangest race cars I had ever seen.

Baron Blitz Red, I don't think the Foumula is odd at all. In fact it represents the 1980's. All the big, boxy, and ugly of that decade.

I'm sure we could all pick something throughout the decades we'd like to forget... lol. Of course it was just my opinion concerning the R30, but as for Race Cars in GT2, I couldn't think of anything else that struck me as that undesirable looks wise... but yes, I do agree (and remember) about the car styles of that decade.

Nike ONE
Toyota Motor Triathlon
GT Redbull X2010
Chapparal 2J

That about sums it up :D

Not to nitpick, but the Nike, Chaparral, Rebull and Triathalon car aren't in GT2. This is the GT2 forum.

Thanks Crooooooow. Now I always found the Fiat Coupe's styling to be a little unique, and that it along with the 500R could be mentioned in the same category of weird cars as the Kei cars and the GT90 and such.

I always found the Fiat Coupe's styling to be a little unique.

It was a good creation by Fiat. When I first discovered Fiat when starting GT2 in 2006, I first noticed the Coupe, (couldn't they think of a name? The Fiat Coupe sedan, Fiat Coupe coupe 3-door), and I thought "This is the introduction to a whole world of car sensations." From that point on, I have been interested in cars, like a boss. It was one of those cars that you have seen anything like it before, and pushes you into discovering more about different car manufacturers and their models.

Along with the 500R could be mentioned in the same category of weird cars as the Kei.

The Ford Kei looks like an enlarged Fiat 500R that has aged slightly with useless bumper masks.

What about the Saleen SR.

Saleen could have taken more time designing the body kit to the Mustang. But, the vinyls were not too bad from my sight of the eye. Overall, I would give the Saleen SR a 6.8/10. The engine's performance did not change the balance of good or bad on the rating scale by much.

Sorry to have to correct you Crooooooow, but you're talking about the Ford Ka. I was talking about the Kei cars, otherwise known as those little japanese vehicles, like the Suzuki Wagon R RR.

Those little japanese vehicles, like the Suzuki Wagon R RR.

(Escaping my misnaming)... You mean those little dinky rodents that apparently have 63hp for almost all of them. I would like to see a few of them in the dealer listed at 64 or 65 hp, that would be convenient.

Daihatsu Storia rally car is 🤬 awesome

It's cooler than I remember. I guess this one is an extraction from the 64hp cars I talked dirt about.
But since you are talking good about this car, then that type of behavior is not allowed in this thread, because this thread is about weird cars. :sly: Nah, I'm just screwing with you.
