Welcome one and all. Me and Pranching horse are starting a series. 9 races 9 weeks. Ph handles points I handle the rest.

Race details
Races well be run in free run only
Cars will have stock Hp. any settings go.
you will have one week to PM times to PH.

Cars to be used pick one and keep it for the series.

R390 GT1 Lm race car
GT-one race car
787B
Panoz esperante
zonda race car
C5R corvette
Viper team oreca

Again all races are run in free run fast lap style. Final race of the series well be a enduro. Which me and PH well pick.

Rules
No wall riding
no grass cuting
no hybreds
no cheating if me and or PH feel a time is to fast we well need sector times.
must keep two tires on track at all time
rumble strips are part of the track.

1st race is in 2 weeks at that time i will post the track if we get enough people.

What do you mean cars are max power? Does this mean you can mod the engine or not?

I like the car selection, my 787b is there

I would sign up but if the cars can be modded to any power the 787 b becomes obsolete. Its max HP is 964 but the Nissan and Toyota GT1 have well over 1100 HP fully modded

I would rather have the cars have stock horsepower

Thats my opinion

So what do you guys think is the 1000 Hp limit a good thing or a bad thing. Should i keep that or make it full stock. i want this to be fair and for it to work so i need some opinions.

I would like full Stock HP IMO

Are you splitting the cars into 2 classes, GT1 and GT2?

I agree with Earth, I think that the cars that you chose would make for much better and more popular racing if they were at stock hp rather than max hp so you could take them out of the arcade S class garage and taken to free run, that way, people who don't have some of those cars in their sim garage can still compete. But the decision is yours. I'm just thinking about the way to attract alot of people to this series.

Earth, I think the series is just being kept in GT3, although I'm not actually 100% sure on what you are saying, could you please clarify, due to the fact of I'm a simpleton. :).

Oh yeah, I'm in Senna2. I can take care of the table of times for each week as well.

I probably won't reply until after my holiday.

See ya soon.
Speed Freak.

What I mean by GT1 and GT2 class is not the game, but the class of how good the cars are.

The Toyota GT1
The R390 GT1 Lm race car

Then there is the Dodge Viper Team Oreca, C5r Corvette which both belong in class GT2 class because the are slower then the GT1 cars.

If you give all the cars 600 HP the team Oreca car would never keep up with a Toyota GT1 or a R390.

So in real life racing, they split the cars into classes, GT1 for the super fast cars and GT2 for the slower cars.

They have a system called class winner, and overall winner. Class winner wins his division whether it be GT1 or GT 2. Overall winner is the one who finishes first of all the cars on the track.

They have this system because theres no way a Dodge Viper team oreca can keep up with a Toyota GT One

ok earth has a great point
GT1 cars R390
787B
GT1 race car
zonda race car

GT2 cars
viper oreca
C5R
panoz esperante

as earth said class winner well be the one with the fastest out of the GT1 and GT2 cars and the overall winner is the one with the fastest time. is that right earth if not correct me

Senna you are right about the classes

The point system that the American LeMans series uses is for endurance racing, they award points on how many laps you complete compared to the race winner so I would suggest you use your own point system .

senna what do you mean PH?

PH is short for "Prancing Horse", one of his friends.

I think a good points system would be...

Overall Winner

1st = 3
2nd =2
3rd = 1
4th = 0
etc..

GT1 / GT2 Class Winners

1st = 15
2nd = 12
3rd = 10
4th = 7
5th = 3
6th = 1
7th = 0
etc...

The reason why I've only put 3, 2 and 1 point(s) for the overall winner is because the GT1 cars will always beat the GT2 cars so I didn't want to give them too many points for an easy victory. Plus with this points system a GT2 car could win overall at the end of the series. If someone driving a GT2 car got first in their class they'd recieve 15 points. Also someone else in a GT1 car won their class and got 15 points but they won overall as well they'd end up with 18

Standings after 1 race could be...

GT1 car = 18
GT2 car = 15

Now if in the second race the GT1 car came 3rd in his class and got 10 points but also 3rd overall = 1 point. Also, the GT2 car won his class again and got 15 points.

Standings after 2 races would be...

GT2 car = 30
GT1 car = 29

Do you see where I'm coming from here.
With this system a consistent GT2 driver would beat a non-consistent GT1 driver.

I like this point system :)

Go ahead and sign me up

Im thinking about using the Toyota GT1 or The Dodge Viper team oreca

Since the cars are now stock hp, we can use the ones in arcade mode, so I'll be a C5R or a Viper man. With my points system, I want a GT2 class car to whoop the butts off the GT1 class cars and I'm gonna be the one to try and do it. :D

i might participate, but i have a few questions.

what tracks, how many rounds, and how long will it last.

i will be getting pretty busy soon, so time will be the deciding factor.

Sign me up with the :chevy: Corvette C5R please. GT2 class seems easier for me :D
