I somehow managed to hurt my arm pretty badly in my sleep, so much so that now 3 days later I still can't lift it on it's own power. That wouldn't be so bad except I can't lift it enough to grab my DFP, and it I use my other arm to put it there it hurts like something awful and I still can't turn the wheel with that hand. I know I could play with the DS2, but it's just not the same experience (aka: I've completely forgotten how to use it and get frustrated whenever I try). And I can't play my Wii either for the same reason.

I think I'm gonna go read a book.

You, my friend have been playing GT4 too much. ;)

Don't go that far. It's only one arm. Look at Doggie he played with a DFP with casts on both arms. You can do it! You shouldn't stop playing GT4 over one arm...

DUDE!!!!! even if you slept on your arm how is it not 'awake' after all this time? i think you need to c a doc.:ouch:

just out of curiosity y did u start this thread?

It's not asleep, it's a torn muscle or something.

I saw a doctor, she said it most likely wasn't broken (it doesn't feel broken either) and gave me a prescription for some painkillers. They do nothing.

:ouch: That sucks!
It sounds like you need to re-train your arm once it's healed- go see a physiotherapist/ sports physician. You want to make sure you fix that sort of thing early, so it doesn't become an on-going thing. :irked:

Its pretty difficult to tear a muscle in your arm while sleeping- I'm impressed!

What did everyone tell you about the *Bleeping* AUP? No more "c", "y" and of the like.

I slept on my arm before, but since im not buff and big, i didnt suffer any major injuries becasue im underweight for my age.

wow, this sucks aquendwato!
I have had my arm become lifeless for like 10 minutes, but this must seriously be a pain.
👍 keep trying the dfp!

Oh man, sorry to hear that.. Almost as bad as PS2 failure, except your condition is a little more painful and a little less expensive. Does this mean you have to drop my series for a bit?? 👎:(

Cheers towards recovery,
Jetboy

Sorry to hear about this! I´ve done similar things a few times myself, so I know how you feel! I have a faulty shoulder joint, that dislocates itself in my sleep from time to time!
Just about the only thing you can do is rest, and let your body do its magic on its own!

Sorry to hear about your troubles... I can sympathise as I am also currently suffering from a hand injury which means I am unable to play anything for any length of time too. As Team666 says though, your best bet is to ride it out as best you can without making things worse in the meantime. I reckon that switching to the DS2 is not a great idea, either, since even the process of sitting and holding the DS2 in a given position for any length of time is going to put some strain on your arm and upper body muscles - you're probably best to take a complete break and see a physio about it. Best of luck for a speedy recovery 👍

hey man, that doesnt sound good at all!! My best buddy, he actually broke broke his nose and twisted his ankle once while sleeping... THAT HURTS!!!

so if youre going to use the DFP, are switching to AUTOMATIC tranny??? i hope not :D

good recovery
