Were are all the cars?!

Yea, yea, yea, GT3 is the most outstanding car racing sim out there...ever! Yet, were are all the cars that we drive everyday...the cars that we can actually go and pick up at the local Ford or Chevy dealership? Well, I am kinda disapointed in this desision by SCEA. Ya know? I would like to race a new Chevy Monte Carlo. I know I share opinion with many people. But were are all the normal cars?
 
why race slower cars you could buy at a dealership if you could race real fast ones??? There are still many street dealership cars to choose from but c'mon fast cars r betta ;)
 
Yes i agree, but come on man, weres the fun if you can't race a car that you have in your drive way? I would like to invite my friends over and i would love to say, Hey, wanna drive my car? or the oposite....i meen, it would just be kinda fun that way!
 
Um, let's see. I drive an '01 S2000, my brother has a '97 N/A Supra, my Dad has a '99 328i BMW(I know, it's not the same as in the game, but you get my point), my stepmom has a '97 Z28, a guy down our street has a Viper GTS...etc,etc,etc... Most of the cars on GT3 are normal to me...


It's pretty safe to say that I see a lot of these cars, but unfortionately alot of you don't.

I understand that you would like more cars that you see everyday, but this game was made in Japan, and they highlighted mainly Japanese cars...so...there probably won't ever be too many of the normal cars that you would like to see in it...


That's just my $0.02 on the subject.
 
it also takes them a looong time to produce and make each car so they dont really have a chance to put every car they would like into the game but now that they have experience you might get more of what you want in gt4 and i hope so too. We just have to hope soo.
 
Yes, hopefully they will have a lot more cars in GT4.


A lot of people on here want more  racing mods in GT4(stuff like stickers, body kits, mainly visibly modifications), but I would like to see a wider variety of cars. There are so many cars I would like to see on GT4 it would probably take me days to list 'em all...
 
ive kinda got over the racing mods now i think that they are cool still but i just am happy without them and yea if i had a choise of racing mods or more cars i would pick more cars
 
man, yeah, Monte Carlos sure are chick magnets d00d. Besides how many minutes does it take to get to 60 in that pos. I bet the Vitz 1.5 can own it LOL. Dont ever bitch about GT3 not having a Chevy Monte Carlo, or even the dreaded Geo Metro or anything like that. Its called Gran Turismo for a reason. If your car was in there it would be like P.O.S. Super Racer Turbo Deluxe Plus.
 
I agree with Josh, i think first and foremost, the game should showcase the fast cars. But i also believe that the game needs more diversity in the cars available, especially at the low end level in the first few hours that you will play the game....it needs more of a hook to grab the players who didn't love the game before it even came out....
 
josh..since they highlighted japanese cars...why didnt they have a better Honda selection? the new Preludes would be a blast to drive on here. the s2000's are nice but if they can put all those terrible cars like the euro vitz and ****...seems like they could at least put an accord and a prelude on there. It IS japan and all.
 
ElectricK- I'm not sure about the Hondas really.


They should have put some of the Preludes on there with the V-TEC engines IMO.


And they DO have an Accord, it's the Accord Euro R
 
hey josh, thats a lot of quality machinery you are surrounded with!  a guy on your street has a Viper GTS?!? you say this as if it is perfectly normal to be surrounded by these cars... well, some guy on my street has one of those ride-on lawnmowers...

Yeah, the guy with the GTS owns a couple Suzuki Dealerships through out the U.S.

To me it is kinda normal. A lot of well known people live in our neighborhood(not on our street, but same neighborhood). Kyle Petty had a house in our neighborhood until a lil' over a year ago it caught on fire along with the 2 houses on either side of it.

Also, I don't know if you ever heard about it, but a while back a bunch of Lawyer Co's got together, and spent several years suing Phillip Morris(I think that's who they sued, anyways...). Well, one of the head Lawyers involved lives somewhere near us, he drives some kinda of Ferrari, and a bunch of other cars, but I've never seen them.


An ex-Hawaiin Tropic model lives right across the street :D She's not really famous, but I almost had a heart attack the first(and only) time I saw her.




Please realize that I live on the Isle of Palms, SC. When I say my neighborhood, I'm talking about Wild Dunes. It's the biggest residential neighborhood on the Island. So chances are those famous people live pretty damn far away :( It's really a resort-type neighborhood, most of the houses are used for vacation houses. There are only around 5k people that live on the Island all of the time, and during the summer the number usually reaches 40k.


Anyways, sorry for rambling. Just trying to explain why there are so many nice cars...

my point is...you DO have plenty of normal cars that totally suck ass! all those crappy little box looking cars for god's sake. who wants THOSE?? I just won some piece of crap with 67 HP for winning the turbo races in beginner. Are you telling me thats an awesome car that you just couldnt do without in order to make room for say...a new Prelude?
