Were penalties lifted from yday's FIA events (genuine!)

Hi Folks,

I don't post much on here but wanted to ask this based on doing both FIA events last night:

Nations at Alsace
Manufacturers at Blue Moon.

Alsace: I got punted out of 4th place twice. Second time was under yellows and was a massive hit. The guy got ZERO penalty. Also at the end of L1 there was a melé into final corner. I accidentally bumped rear of car in front. All of us bumped each other. No one got a penalty.

Blue Moon: Utter carnage. Didn't see any penalties. No one slowing up later in race to do their time.

Is it remotely possible GTS lifted and./or significantly restricted penalties in all online races until they have patch for the new algorithms?

What SR/DR are you?

I got a 5 second penalty on Blue Moon.... if you are wondering why, I summaried elsewhere:

20 cars all starting on the oval - a fast section, with everyone drafting - T1 and T2 are fine, T3 is ok, T4 is alright, then T5 (hairpin under the bridge) is chaos. I give space to the cars in front, brake a little early to prevent an accident and then 3 guys behind me see this is a perfect overtaking opportunity. Seriously what is wrong with people not knowing that you can't do this? I am not braking because I'm slow, I'm braking because there are people in front of me and we are on lap 1 of a 20 lap race... Of course, there is a collision and I get 5 seconds penalty :). Anyway, finished about 14th in the end... very frustrating.

I burnt off 0.02 seconds then carried 4.9xx to the end...plenty of others with dots

I'm DR: B (23k pts), SR: S (99pts)

Same to me at T5. Got rammed from P2 on L1 in braking > Into Barrier. Then on next lap tool behind me tipped my rear on exit on same corner and flipped me into barrier facing wrong way.

I saved replays to watch if anyone who crashed anyone got penalties and didn't see one person slowing to take medicine. Was absolutely bizarre. Too many S/S players complaining about the penalties when most of us not at SS need those penalties to disincentivise what happened yday. Literally wants to make me stop playing the game.

Weird... but backs up the fact that the rules in B and below are relaxed. And yes true... it should be the same (or at least on a scale) for all the way from E to S, as it is it seems to be one rule for E to B, then another for A and S.

I like the strictness though... it should just be a bit more gradual.

Here is the Replay on YT

At Alsace yday I was receiving end of a crash pass twice and no penalties for the offending player even overtaking under yellows?

Skip to 2:28 and 3:01 to 3:40 for both incidents.
You can see same player then does same to P2 at 6:08 on the last lap.

Strange that given the new algorithms penalties all week in FIA have been super strict. But none here and hardly any in the Manufacturers cup at Blue Moon right after (Where btw I watched same player create more carnage). I wonder if ahead of creating a new patch PD just switched off penalties to avoid the aggro? Made it worse in my opinion. The "masses" (most of us racing at C/B/A DR) need the penalties to act as a disincentive for players like this to do moves like this.

Rest of video is me scrolling through to check if the player picked up any penalties which he didn't. Bizarre.

Races were weird yesterday. Especally with the fuel getting more fuel than laps on blue moon. But penalties were fine.

Yeah that was odd! I checked the gauge after about 4 or 5 laps of this 20 lap race so I could judge the range and it said something 25.7 remaining or something

23.8 laps, 5 laps gone and a penalty to boot.

Yeah, weird... guess it just started with standard fuel load, no multiplier.... all about the tyres.

Also: I notice you have ASM on... as someone who recently switched it off, I can tell you it will make you faster without it. CSA and TCS are enough to keep you stable - ASM just zaps your power on corners.

I will give it a go. Not really into the nuts and bolts of aids.

ASM seems to reduce power in order to maintain stability, which costs you speed... with TCS on 2 and CSA on, you would be hard pushed to spin out anyway.

Thank you for this reply, I've been trying to figure out where I've been going wrong in offline races recently but it seems I have ASM on
so I've turned it off now and will remember this for online racing.

Someone said it to me on here a few weeks back and it makes such a difference. TCS also slows you down, but personally I need it on 2 for RWD gr. 3 and gr. 4 cars otherwise I just spin everywhere

Yeah, I am exactly the same, anything Gr3 and Gr4 I need TCS otherwise it's spin central.
