The proposed time might be a bit late for the guys in Uk etc. I did a race Sunday morning recently and that worked out well. Something like 6 or 7am eastern perhaps? Just a suggestion.

Race time is not final yet, however any earlier might be difficult for North America. The Pre-Season Proposed Race is at 8:30pm my time. Let's see how many people sign up and their preferred times. I would be willing to go 1 hour earlier if that helps get more folks involved. It's a Saturday Night after all...

I didn't see a lap count. Are you doing full GP length?

I don't quite understand the tire rule. I think most will use softs anyway, maybe I'm crazy.

The time is a little late too. I always felt that earlier in the day (weekends) picks up more over seas people. 1300 EDT for instance.

I agree. I think if anything the rule should force you do laps with racing hards instead of softs all race like in real F1, assuming there's no weather. I'd honestly prefer it if racing softs were banned completely except for qualifying but I think forcing everyone to do a stint with racing hards would alleviate my hatred for racing softs. And it does make sense, in F1 they don't let you use the option (racing mediums) tires all race, you have to do at least one stint with the primes (racing hard), so I think that would be better. Plus, you wouldn't have to force people to use racing softs, if they're allowed, everyone will use them.

I'm signed up by the way. I love the idea and frankly I don't understand why there isn't an F1 league already.

There is an F10 league ending soon that I am a part of.

In that league we tried the two tire compound rule, but the replays are too buggy to prove that everyone changed to hards at least once. I love the rule it's just impossible to enforce unless PD fixes the problem. For instance, my replay said driver A and B didn't use hards. Driver Z's replay showed driver C and D didn't use hards. There is no consistency. PD made a great game, but their bugs are unforgivable sometimes.

Stay tuned to this forum (below) to see what happens there. Since F1 leagues are few and far between we may want to merge.

The idea here is that you can only do one stint with racing softs. So if you change to RS, th next pit for any reason would force you to go back to Meds or Hards.

I honestly didn't know about the bug, we used this rule for WSGTC (Meds and Hards only) and it worked out well, so I'm not sure if this bug is related to F1 only or what. Besides, shouldn't you be able to tell by the stripe color on the wheels in F1? Anyways, hards only is a good idea, but since you can effectively do 60 laps at IndyRC easily on hards, the pits would be only for fuel, which takes tire management out of the equation.

Perhaps some testing is in order.

Laps? well 1-1.5 hours (as stated in the OP), so yes equivalent to a GP in length.

I'm encouraged to see more interest in this series and thus I will be revealing the prizes shortly.

I'll be working on the components for the driver list and standings etc over the next week.

Sign me up. Hopefully we can all agree on a time to maximize the grid.

I think the bug has to do with lag. Not 100% sure, but that's the reason we came up with.

When you can make the q start 2-30-3,00 hours earlier i can drive also its cool to drive also a f2007 series.

OMG.... maybe we should instill Ballast penalties for podiums...

Time may change to accommodate the Drivers' Locations.

Tire rule:
I really would like to try this rule if we can. Let's try it for the Pre-Season and see how it goes.
- Only 1 stint on Softs (front, rear or both)
- All other stints on Meds/Hards, any combo.

The race starts too late, even for me :) It depends on how further back you can pull the start time, i am sure most Europeans won't be able to make it.

yes iam also in.
My first Race with the f2007 i must see that i get the car fully broke soon.

Oh, the wording was a bit confusing. I actually like your idea better. Instead of being forced to use the primes once like in f1, you're saying you can only use the softs once. I like that.

I didn't know about the replay bug either. I'll be interested in joining eitherway though.

Still working on the OP. Post #4 now shows the Driver List.

If you don't see your name in the list, make sure you click the "Signup Here" Button in OP and fill out the form.

The grid looks almost full. I'm still trying to decide if we should limit the grid to 12, unless the bug has been fixed where more than 12 Cars causes issues in the room.

If you plan on practicing Nurb GP/F, please post the Public Lobby room number here so we can all Practice together.

Just signed up. I'm currently slow in F1 cars (quite a few of the guys signed up can vouch for that), but I've been looking for an excuse to get better. :)
