First PreSeason Group Practice Tuesday

On a side note we may get Motegi speedway in about to months and a series race there sounds good.

Good impromptu practice guys. Wilso ran a 28.7 in free run, then he raced someone turning 32s, then I ran the same guy and Wilso bails just as I turned a 28.5 on my last lap... This new tune feels cool, but more work needed.

Practice on Tuesday will be on Nurburgring GP/F.
For some F2007 tunes, try some of the tunes at GT5Tunes
If you need help tuning, my philosophy is similar to Motor City Tunes However for Formula 1 Cars, I prefer much stiffer suspension than a normal car, where I typically tune softer than stock. Hint: an F1 is more like a Kart than a Car, thus tuning for comfort won't get you anywhere.

Yeah i got my tune nearly dailed in, i was getting tired and was losing focus i left ya but lastnight was the 1st time in my F2007 for a week so i was happy with those times.

Either marginal drivers will get good by Pre-Season, July 1st, where we weed out the bad drivers, or they don't.

Rules and Regs
- GTP OLR apply.
- No tyre restrictions
- Grip Reduction Real
- Slipstream weak
- Tyre wear on
- All Aids off (except ABS)
- Penalties off (Two tires MUST be on the track at all times. The Red and White rumble strips are part of the track, the green strips are not.
(please see this post to understand the track boundaries Courtessy of Wardez)
- If you get lapped, you cannot re-take your position until the next lap

Be especially careful of T4 exit. Over shooting a little will be tolerated, repeated offences will garner penalties:

Cutting Veedol WILL NOT be tolerated.

We will qualify for 20 minutes and grid start immediately after the countdown.

Ummmmm, main OP page says that one stint to be on medium/hard or any other tyre combo but last post says no tyre restriction?? Please elaborate Mr Charlie Whitting???

For a full race that will be the rule (Pre-Season race included). Since we're doing 20 laps, some may be able to do the whole stint on softs anyway... Besides, this is just to get to know each other and test our connections, and another Photo Op.

D**n, I want to join, but I can't race on weekdays; too busy. Is there going to be a practice race on Friday?

The 1st planned group practice had a low turnout, only about 7 of us started the race. By the end, about 14 various people were waiting in the lobby, but only 6 went on to run another 20 laps.

I'll have some pics to post, including some shots of what will be called on penalties. In Race #1, everyone (including me), went way wide on T1 almost as if they were following the 24Hr configuration.
