I am no war hawk but I can say that, from the bit I've heard, some of the reactions to the Inspectors' reports are nearly mind boggling. Yes, it was not as negative as it could have been, but how can it seen as evidence of Iraq's perfect compliance?
Geez, can't the world just say the truth, that past transgressions and an uncertain amassing of illegal arms will never convince it to fight, only being targetted will ... might...?
Syria obfuscates and Russia and one or more others say Iraq has been excellent.
This deafness, these redherrings, these obfuscations are more appropriate with the sad minds that espouse conspiracy theories, contending them as fact, it is not for a world body that some want to have greater power.
I don't blame the world for its aprehension, but i would prefer it to act intellectually honest and attentive.
Shameful.
