I gather there is an American folk singer that uses/used that stage name. I'd be interested to know the circumstance of the Britpop act's...binym?...given how other disputes have been resolved. Two acts sharing the name "The Beat" agreed to both change their names (Paul Collins' Beat and The English Beat resulting, though the latter only went by such for American appearances). Patrick Campbell-Lyons of Nirvana (formed in the '60s in the UK) sued the Seattle band over name use and reportedly a settlement was reached that allowed both acts to continue to release and perform without changing their names. The former even covered the latter's work.I didn't know they were called The London Suede in the US. Over here they're just Suede. There must be two bands with the same name.
yeah if i remember right some singer based out of maryland decided to sue them because they tried to use the name suede when she was using it here first. hence why they're the london suede here.I didn't know they were called The London Suede in the US. Over here they're just Suede. There must be two bands with the same name.
