Having only been drag racing for about 6 weeks, I've already tuned all the usual; GTR R35, R34, R33, ACR Viper, Enzo, ZZII, LP700, Ford GT No Stripe, etc

But now what? What's the other more popular tuning cars? Like Supra? Subaru? American muscle? What? If someone could just offer like a list of 3-5 cars I should aquire and tune, and a good time for it, to point me in the right direction, please. Just looking for ones that are more popularly used, so that I have a point to tuning them, to compete online lol. Ideally provide exact model names, so I can either look out for 'em, or seek them out on the GTP Marketplace.

Getting bored of constantly racing my Enzo/No Stripe and GTRs...

Many thanks.

Plymouth Cuda 6 pack
Camaro SS '10
Shelby or AC Cobra
Subaru Spec C '04
Evo VIII '03
Mazda RX7
Dodge Challenger RM '70
Dodge Ram

There are many more but these seem popular online.

I'd look at the old leaderboard thread and look at all the 9.5 - 10.5 second cars and pick a few that cover that range, you need s pickup in the garage too :)

Lfa,supra rz,svt mustang,dodge viper 06 coupe,corvette zr1 and z06,viper 03,22b sti,and really any hondas I would look for the dc2 99,dc5 04,ek 97 those are pretty comon and some of the fastest hondas

The ep is I believe the fastest honda but you don't see many around the most comanly used honda and the fastest is the dc5.

EP is fastest civic, just beats a dc5, tegs are far easier to tune and run.

Fastest fwd Honda is the Accord EX coupe 03
(Slaughters most fwd except for Eclipse 06 and SRT4)

Most commonly in my experience cars between 9.75 and 10.2 are tuned.

So really anything between 'Cudas and Chevelles down to lower end Subarus

Lol also don't forget the mersadez lol amg username made me think of them lol I would prefer the slr mclaren 19 inch you see those a lot.

Yeah, but that's just a little bit faster than the rest of that category, I normally run the semi exhaust to keep it close with an rx7

Another few goodies
300zx 2 seater '89 (standard one)- pain in the ass to tune but can get some good results
Supra RZ
RX7
E55 AMG
Lexus ISF RM
Subaru WRX RM

Chevelle SS 454
Subaru 22B
Subaru (premium hatchback)
Mazda RX7 (premium)
Cuda 440
Mustang SVT Cobra
Shelby Cobra (premium)
**HPA Motorsport R32 Volkswagen**
The list goes on and on unfortunately.. I usually just try to tune a huge variety for different rooms!

Premo cobra is much faster than the others listed. It does like 9.4
We are talking 9.8-10.2 :P - at least I was haha

Yes use the recommendations from all the guys but also pick a car you like, tune it, run it and see the end results it you might end up with a sleeper. A fast FWD that will kill any Honda, except the Accord V6, is the premo Renault Megane and the Fiat Coupe Turbo.

Also I'm sure you know by now but when buying from the used car dealer try to get them with 7k miles or less. 👍

Tune the Corvettes, Ferraris (599 & 458), Mercedes SLS, & McLaren MP4. The McLaren F1 is quite a challenge in my opinion.

Try to make the Vettes hit at least 9.26xs.. The MP4 I use a "triple" shift.. And the 599 is a rare car to find out on the track but when you do find one it is always an interesting race*

you should definitely try something not alot of people tune, something you never see on the drag strip, the volvos maybe one of the faster alfa romeros, crysler crossfire? one of the infinities maybe find what one is the fastest? its always fun to show up on the drag strip with something not many people have tuned so they dont know what they run and end up beating a supra or an rx7? just pick out random ucd ocd or premium cars that you dont see like ever or maybe once nad giver a tune and see how it runs, i usually give a standard suspension and tranny tune with soft tires full upgraded and see what it runs around and take .200-.500 off and that would be is general time with a full tune that has alot of effort into it
