How about...hmmm... The current car selection is already pretty awesome, but since we're wishing..

Audi RS5 and RS3
Mercedes C63 AMG
BMW M5, X6
Alfa Romeo Mito and 155 Ti
Saab 900 Turbo
Peugeot RCZ
Fiat Coupe Turbo
Maserati Quattroporte, Biturbo

👍

Some of the throwback Lemans cars like:

Jaguar D Type
Jaguar XJ13 Prototype
Ford GT40 MKIV
Bugatti Type 251
Porsche 550 Spyder
Porsche 909 Bergspyder
Porsche 917 (cmon, it was in previous NFS games.)

And/or some retro throwback street cars like:

Lamborgini Countach 25th Anniversary (or the normal LP400)
Lamborghini Miura
Lamborghini Jalpa
Porsche 959
Porsche 928
Toyota MR2
Toyota 2000GT
Toyota Supra MKIII
Toyota Soarer (Lexus SC300/400)
Lancia Stratos

And please, for the love of everything awesome, try to get some Formula 1 cars in there
(not the new ones, but ones from the 90's? 80's?).

07 Fiat Bravo multijet!!!!

On a serious note, more everyday street cars such as mondeo's, insignia/vectra etc with BTCC style bodykits.

Do we know wether there is likely to be more DLC down the line? Was there is Shift 1 (only played the demo)?

2010 DTM cars and that is very simple (licensing appart) because its only two cars.
ALMS - LMP
But Im quite happy the the cars selection of the game to be honest

Opel Calibra
Alfa Romeo 155
Volvo 850 and 240
Ferrari 360, 458, F40
Porsche 959

I just thought of a couple more and ironically they have all been in older Need for speed games. Pontiac solstice, Pontiac gto, Mazdaspeed 3

Ferrari's of course what else , also
Fiat Punto GT
Fiat Grande Punto Abarth
Fiat 500 Abarth
Octavia Rs Mk1/Mk2
Polo Gti
Peugeot 106 Rallye / Gt
Renault 5 Gt

The car list is pretty awesome already but these would be fantastic adds:

Ariel Atom
Audi RS5
Lambo Aventador
Lancia Stratos 2010 prototype
Aston One-77

Some other classics I d love to try out:

DeTomaso Pantera
Lambo Countach
Lancia Stratos
Lancia Fulvia
Renault 5 Turbo
Audi Quattro
Simca Rallye
Alpine 110
Lotus Elan

And some moar legendary muscle cars:

Chevy Chevelle 454SS
Plymouth Superbird
AMX
Pontiac GTO Judge
Plymouth Cuda

Those plus some classic tracks would make an awesome second legendary DLC to remake the 70s Trans Am Series! :dopey:

Venom GT.

Not sure if it's possible though. Lotus body, Henderson works.
A bit like the RUF situation really.

Car is already modled, just need lots of horses.

(Ford & Holden) V8 Supercars please.

EA/SMS, you can't give us Bathurst and no Aussie cars to race on it! :ill:

Ford RS200
Cadillac CTS-V (four door cause the coupe is ugly)
Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Pontiac Solstice GXP or Saturn Sky Red Line
Lancia Stratos
Lotus Esprit Sport 350
2nd Gen. Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX (4G63 and AWD, what's not to like?)
'99 Toyota MR-2 GT-S (can you say 2JZ swap?)
Anything from TVR
Ariel Atom 500 V8

I would like to see the 1969 Roadrunner in Shift2...well, I would like to see it in any sim based racing game. *dreaming*

Oh, and the Superbird would have been a nice addition to the legends pack.

Superstars V8 ? Put them in please, love that series (and the game). WTCC and DTM would be fine too, in fact DTM at the moment is only based on 2-4 models, so shouldn't be too hard, except from licensing may be ?

Edit; Tribolik mentioned that before.

While I am at It. Include some Opels please !

I can think of a ton of really great cars but it is really hard to accept the fact that a racing game does not have Ferrari's, that is just really strange.

I think it has been stated that there will never be a Ferrari a the PS3 version?

Sorry, if that is true, it really sucks, that should really be addressed!!

While I'm generally happy with the car choices in S2U (really love having cars like the E30 M3, R500 and Big Mac), there are some curious omissions.

We have the old Infiniti V35 G35, not the newer V36 G37. Strange because the V36 coupe is a 4 year old car. Not to mention faster all around.

We have the old B7 S4. Certainly no complaints about that since that is my daily driver and I like it quite a bit. But we don't have the newer, quicker, better handling B8 S4, which has been around for nearly 2 years now.

Onto the RX-8. We get the launch version of the car, not the improved mid-cycle update built since 2009. Several worthwhile changes to the car including suspension updates, final drive and the new R3 package.

Same story with the WRX STI. Love having the older (some say better and I agree) 'Hawk-eye' GD model. But where is the GR?

GTI... Exige... etc.

And for heavens sake, the Challenger has been in showrooms for 3 years now. Why do we get the 'Concept' version?

Other MIA cars are (in no particular order)...

  • Lotus Evora
  • Cadillac CTS-V (Sigma II sedan)
  • Mercedes C63 (W204) with AMG Performance Package (includes slippy diff)
  • BMW 335is Coupe
  • Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca
  • Audi RS5
  • Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec
  • Corvette C6 ZR1
  • Dodge Viper ACR/ACR-X GenIV.II
  • Honda CR-Z
  • MINI JCW Cooper
  • Tesla Roadster (ya rly)
Superlaggera LP570-4 version of the Gallardo would be nice... or better yet the Balboni.

Might seem odd, but I'd like to have a plain-jane 997.2 Carrera in the game. Even if the Cayman S will lap faster.

Classic/Retro

  • Audi Sport Quattro
  • Datsun 240Z
  • Porsche 968 Clubsport
  • Lotus Esprit (S1)
  • BMW 2002tii

There's a whole slew of race cars that I would pine for, but the lack of updates on street cars EA obviously already has licenses for is odd. Maybe it's a contract driven issue I'm not aware of, but from a customer's point, it seems weird.

For the record, I'd even happily pay extra for these cars...

...if EA would simply make them available to PC users.
