I dunno, ask Lenny.

Take a look at the past 3+ years of our GT4 forum and decide for yourself.

uhh, is this a trick question?

uh....100% completed? 100% win ratio? The 5,555 day club?

80 golds, too. Strangely, I can't find a 100% win ratio club. Probably because all it means is that you either made all the races easy or just reset every time you lost. :P

I hate losing. My test card is running around 25% wins, mostly from entering/exiting a race to check the A-spec offering. My current work in progress will be a 100% win ratio.

Few people have the willingness, determination, and patience to maintain an "unblemished" race history, from everything I've read/seen at this site. While it serves as no motivation, exclusivity will be a natural consequence of my achievements, as it is with CounTeR's.

👍

But... 32587 - 8500 = 24087... 24087/522 = 46.14 pts/race :indiff:

I want to see a "Club 522"... 100% complete, no repeated races... I've only seen Famine and jbrennan do it... I hope they won't mind if I join.
I'll be applying in a couple of months (years???)

I hate to tell you this (and apparently you already know, anyways) but maintaining an "unblemished" race history via entering & re-entering till you win is no different from placing a bet in a fixed lottery. all these people are maintaining is a falsety. They are using willingness, determination, and patience to maintain an illusion, rather than enjoy the game (and its occasional losses).

...nothing to be proud of. :( no offense.

true, and at the same time, :ouch: *ouch* :ouch: .., :D:lol:

Someone got ahead of me (damn!). You can't expect to be a good racer if all that you do is winning (although this is false, because you actually lost quite a few races.) You only become better if you lose, because it makes you want to get better. Otherwise, if you only win, what's the point of racing?

Yeah. unless you REALLY ARE THAT GOOD, and actually never lose a race, I don't see the point of fixing races to get a perfect score. It seems very time-consuming, lonely, and not fun. And there's no drama, other than the frustration of having to reset the game (actually turning the game off so it truly restarts) if you lose a race.

Must be some altered form of OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), like you have to get something right, even if it takes 30 retakes to get there. :grumpy: I don't get it.

I'm not harping on you RoadHazzard, matter of fact, I respect you. So I'm at a loss, what is it you're really after? A few numbers? Is it really worth it?

I suppose I should provide more background as to why I'm doing what I'm doing...

I'm trying to build a "Stand-Alone (no transfers), Drive Any Car (in their lowest Mileage form(s)), Minimum Cars Driven, Gold Junkie, 0 B-spec, All Thumbs Gamesave" (among other things).

I'm a Club 229'er, and I'm simply carrying over what I did with GT3 to GT4, with adjustments/enhancements made to account for the differences between the games, and most particularly, with how the Calendar works.

It takes a minimum of 175 weeks to acquire every Used Car that isn't available elsewhere in their lowest mileage forms. With more than 400 "unique" used cars (I consider a 6.2 mile car different than their 9000+ mile counterpart), 522 races, 166 prizes, 114 licenses/missions... that puts me on a very tight schedule. I have no room for losses (for this gamesave), and I'd like to achieve 100% complete on the first day that the last of my "collector" cars appears, but it might take an extra week or two, depending on how many different colors of the same 6.2mile cars I decide to buy.

Looks like you enjoyed telling it... "lol"
What ever happened to "If, at first, you don't succeed.. Reset the Console!"???
I have no problem buying into a fixed lottery, as long as it's fixed in my favor. Please notify me of the next one that comes up, and in turn, I'll offer you some great real estate in the Everglades.:dopey:

But to reiterate... My current "test" (or "real", if that's what how people want to think of it) gamesave is at 46% complete with about 25% wins, and it'll probably never get to 100% complete. I have no problem with losses. But for my other gamesave, I simply won't have it. I was hoping others would read that in my first post of this thread...

I'm still trying to figure out what illusion you think I'm falsely maintaining. It would definitely be an delusion to think that doing what I plan on doing would indicate whether or not I'm good at this game or anything else involving it. I have a goal, and I'm working to achieve it. That, to me, is quite an enjoyable thing to do. And the losses only make the wins that much more enjoyable, whether I choose to include them as a part of my gamesave or not.

Would anyone like to tell me what foods I can enjoy, and how to enjoy them? :grumpy:

...nothing to be proud of. :( no offense.
Would anyone like to tell me what I can and can't take pride in? C'mon, PB... It seems like you meant to say: "Nothing I'd be proud of"... Much offense taken...

Paragon GT
I'm sure that if they were that good, their A-spec points would have been much higher.
I partially agree... First, and I'm not trying to speak for everyone who plays this game, it's not about being "good". For me, it's about making a plan and executing it to the best of my abilities. Second, while I know what you mean, I wouldn't take one's A-spec total to indicate the skills or abilities of a player. I'm hoping to crack 100k by the time I'm at 100%, but what the hay.. I know how I've driven to get some of those 200 pointers!!

That's why I chose "RoadHazard"!!!

It seems very time-consuming, lonely, and not fun. And there's no drama, other than the frustration of having to reset the game (actually turning the game off so it truely restarts) if you lose a race.
It is very time consuming, I don't mind solitude, and I'm having a great time. I get very frustrated when I lose a race that I've won before, but I don't mind losing while in "discovery" mode... Hence my tester gamesave and its 26% win percentage. But "no drama"???

It would be greatly appreciated if you would be more careful with the suggestions you make regarding any mental disorders others might have. Other than that, all I can say is that when I want to do something, and I discover it's "doable", it will get done.

I'm not harping on you RoadHazzard, matter of fact, i repsect you. So i'm at a loss, what is it you're really after? A few numbers? Is it really worth it?
I hope I've adequately explained why I'm doing what I'm doing.
I have at least as much respect for you AND OTHERS, as well as the quality of the experiences they might have with this great game, that you supposedly have for me.
And it is very much worth it.

I know what you all mean, and I'm not in complete disagreement with the opinions stated. But please, make no mistake in assuming that the attitudes and opinions that seem "right" are to be held by everyone playing this game, and that these opinions and attitudes should dictate the manner in which they choose to play this game.

The beauty of this game is that each and every player can have whatever experiences they choose to have, whether or not they and/or others consider it enjoyable or worthwhile or valid or ...

RoadHazzard, in my opinion, you're a different case in the 100% win ratio discussion. Most people who make that goal are just trying to make their home screen look good, but there's no special achievement there because there's not much challenge in what they're doing. You, on the other hand, are going for a completely different kind of game save, one which requires a huge amount of challenge, effort, and meticulous planning that very few others can claim to have achieved in this game. In general, 100% win ratios mean, to me, that either all the races are overkilled or someone has gotten themselves very frustrated resetting the console all the time; therefore, 👎. You, on the other hand, get a 👍 from me because the 100% win ratio is an integral part of the minimum days aspect, although the 100% means nothing to me on its own.

Sorry if this thread has gotten hijacked. :guilty:

I thought that was an excellent reply. Lots of people on here like to critizise. Like when you ask about Bspec and they say "just aspec it dude". Not very helpful. Excellent points you made in reply.
