What connects to this?

I was looking at my car and noticed something's not connected and was wondering I anybody here might know?

The square box with the grey plug sticking out of it is the Mass Air Flow sensor. Is it connected? The car would run really poorly if it wasn't.

Maf sensor is connected but idk what goes in the extra connector
