Won my first online race today, moved up from E to D. E seemed like amateurs trying their best not to upset anyone. D is just amateur noob punters. Please take me back.
E is not really a rank, it's just the 'B' for beginner badge you get for your first 5 online races. Then you start at 2,000 DR in DR D. It shouldn't take long to move up to DR C (starts at 4,000 DR) then DR B (starts at 10,000 DR). And as long as you keep your SR at S you should leave the noob punters behind in no time! (To be replaced with experienced punters )

Is there a way to see one's scores/ratings for the rankings?

Did the Le Mans CE, the drag against the GTR in the Tomahawk, a couple Tokyo 600 grinds, realized that it has DRS and got the 500 kph and 600 kph trophies, bought the 330 P4, did my first online race in Daily C going from 15th to 4th in the CLK-LM no stop strategy.

Not (yet) in GT7, PD has it completely hidden for now. Not even a progress bar.

Since PD carried it over from GT Sport, assumption is everything is still the same.

DR E -
DR D 1-3,999
DR C 4,000-9,999
DR B 10,000-29,999
DR A 30,000-49,999
DR A+ 50,000-99,999

SR E 1-9
SR D 10-19
SR C 20-39
SR B 40-64
SR A 65-79
SR S 80-99

Super comfortable with the Gr3 BRZ now. It's MY car for sure. Entered and swept the Group 3 Championship with her and the car felt like magic. As good as the Mitsubishi GTO and Impreza rally car used to feel in GT1 lol. Just that effortless ghost like handling. The wheel of misfortune actually handed me 500,000 cr today!

okay i am little slow....the last part tells me how many races I'd need to reach the specific rank?

Do you have a tune for it that worked well for you?

No, those are the point ranges PD uses behind the scenes.

SR (sportmanship rating) goes up for every clean sector you drive (about 0.33 SR gain per clean sector) and goes down for hitting other cars. (Variable, can be -1 for small contact, upto -10 for a punt)

You only see the letters in game, but it's a simple plus minus affair behind the scene.

Went back and golded A9 license in 3 tries. Cheers 1.13 😄. Took me 25 miles of tries to get 0.081 away before 1.13 came out.

Took a little longer to finally get gold on the Lago maggiore cx lap. It was the first one I tried in the game and was the only one so far not golded after lots of attempts. I needed to find a quarter of a second and squeaked through by 0.015 finally. Was quite surprised that lap was gold, it didn’t feel quick as I was driving and splits were down on previous efforts, but not screwing up any corners badly pays dividends. I can probably get half a second more from it but I won’t be back to it any time soon.

Today was a Custom Race Experiment day...

17 garage cars, mostly 40+ years old, mostly American, all tuned to around PP=550, GRID start.

The goal was to create a visual experience, hopefully fairly tightly bunched up. Looks like I'll have to adjust their PPs to get them to cooperate. But it was good fun, and the start of a journey.

---------------------------

PS this won me a 4-star roulette ticket which won me another invitation to spend a million credits on a Citroën GT. No way would be spending anything on that car. And the first invitation hadn't even expired. So there is something worse than winning the smallest stack of coins.

PPS I have nothing against Citroëns, especially from back in the day when they were interesting. Offer me the opportunity to buy a Light 15 or a DS19, and you'll have my undivided attention!

Finished Broad Bean CE. EZ gold
Tried a Tsukuba 2 lap in rain mission twice. Silver
Signed up for McLaren in this weeks GTWS.
Took the new 650S into Race B, didnt have time to qualify so I started at back of pack and just had an easy race of it trying to learn the car.
Got 30k from a 3-star

- Beat my gold time on S-7 was 1:07:1XX - got it down to 1:06:8XX

- Beat the 1hr Spa WTC800 event with the Clean Race Bonus!

- Maggiore 700PP and Maggiore 800PP completed.

- Sardegna Mills (Road) - WTC800

- Dragon Trail Reverse - WTC800

- Catalunya WTC800

Didn't realise how much I played today.

Planning a Go-Karting online session with friends tonight.

All stock. Apart from changing parts and tires, and ballast and power up or down as needed, I never tune my cars anymore. Haven't done that since Prologue (in which you kind of had to), since I can usually find a car in any given class that works really well for me. I'm a daily online rally racer, and so I've been used to handling very fast, powerful cars that are constantly on the micro edge of control for years and years. Getting sideways is my everyday normal, and I'm super comfortable there, so I'm more of a "grab n go and make it work" kind of guy. Every single car in GT7 sticks like glue by comparison to a Group B or GT Class Rally Porsche lol.

Finished the Le Mans WTC700 with a RUF CTR3 “Gr.4” car. Detuned it to about 520 hp or so and slapped aero on it. For the race, I set the fuel mix to full lean (6) for the entirety. Two-stopper with some drizzle, but I kept my hard slicks on for the entire race and won by about 15 seconds or so. The race was on hard difficulty, for those curious.

I also bought the Corvette Stingray Racer Concept (I am an American. Of course I would buy the Corvette before the D-Type Jag). I drove it once for the Northern Isle circuit experience and it is quite slippy.
