What did you do in GT7 today?

This weekend I FINALLY got around to actually visiting all the regular car dealerships. (GT games last me FOREVER lol) Bought a bunch of cars including the GR3 Impreza, the new Alpine (awesome car. Just loose enough), an Audi TT and that Tesla. Bought the GR2 GTR and ran it in a few events. I also bought the Red Bull Junior. Grabbed all of the tires and ballast and a power adjuster for it. Then proceeded to enter all of the 600, 700, and 800 PP races and cheated like a bastard lol. Like taking candy from a baby.

Today? I did the circuit experience for Tokyo Expressway - Central Counterclockwise, got all golds, and proceeded to buy the Lamborghini Countach that's in Argento Luna at Legendary Cars. Then I won a BMW i3 from a four-star ticket, which is actually quite good because now I have two, where I can leave one as-stock and modify the other - or at least as much as it'll let me modify an EV. I bought the first i3 that I have, so I could get the trophy for buying an EV. (I'm still hoping the i8 comes at some point...)

After that, I got some more golds on some missions from The Sun Also Rises, namely the drift mission and the one with the Chaparral 2J. When I got gold on the former mission, I took a nice photo for my library. Next time I play, I'm definitely gonna do the 24 mins of Le Mans with my relatively new Audi R18 '11, too, as it's my first (and so far only) Gr.1 car. That's the car that you need for the "Memento from Le Mans" trophy, which is why I bought it in spite of it costing 3m versus most Gr.1 cars, which only cost a third of that.

- With Circuit Experience now complete, I turned my attention to the remaining World Circuit events I have not yet won. I had already completed all the Asia-Oceania events. I won these events in my last session:

Daytona
  • Pickup Truck Race
  • World Touring Car 800
  • GT Cup Gr.3

And that's actually all I had left for the Americas. Now on to Europe:

Brands Hatch
  • European Sunday Cup 400
  • World Touring Car 700

- I bought all Subaru and Mitsubishi models from BC that I didn't own. 253 unique cars.

I won my first daily race today! The Toyota/Subaru event at Suzuka.

Avoided the first lap carnage and went from 8th to 3rd by the time we got to 130R.
1st place yeeted himself into the wall at 130R on lap 2 and then it was hunting down second place, a tiny error saw him go wide at Degner 2 and allowed me to stream past into first going into the hairpin. They hounded my for the entire next lap before making another error at Degner and I finished with a fair margin.

I'm really enjoying the RWD cars now with no traction control, before using the controller it was a mess for me.

Oh, and also tuned down the 787b to 700PP for the LeMans grind and won on the last lap, but that wasn't as impressive to me lol

Gold on these missions:-

The Human Comedy
  • Deep Forest - Gr4 Atenza (no pit stops)
  • Alsace - Ferrari 308 (2 pit stops)
  • Redbull Ring - Gr3 Ferrari 458 (Wet tyres on lap 19-26, Softs for the rest)

I've now got gold medals for all of the Licenses, Circuit Experiences & Missions :D

I'm enjoying the first GT game i've played since GT2 on the PS1.

  • I decided to also turn the BRZ Drift Car into a grippy time attack sort of machine that sits just under 700PP. That LS-swapped beauty works well with my go-to settings. I haven’t taken it to Le Mans for the WTC700 event yet, but I will tomorrow.
  • I also decided to do some laps around Le Mans and Tokyo East with the Porsche 919 Hybrid. Much of Tokyo East’s southern section is flat out for the 919, apart from one or two corners. I increased the downforce to the max for the front and rear.

True, though I found it harsh that it would just ignore the fact that I was there and run me off the road/crash into me when I was already partly alongside...

I'm genuinely interested in views on this though!
I don't think the AI is advanced enough to handle that kind of passes, in my experience if you get on the racing line the AI does a much better job of avoiding you.

But when it comes to defending it does by sticking to its line and being glue to the track. My tactic is simple and effective. The corners where it brakes to early i just pass them and as soon as I am in front of them they back down.

I have a part two to what I did today. I tried the mission where it's 24 minutes of Le Mans, in my Audi R18 '11, and while I placed 8th, I was over a minute behind the leader. So I went into the settings menu, hoping to play around with the downforce in the hopes that I'll do better on the Mulsanne Straight. And that's when it hit me: while other menus on this car are greyed-out and cannot be dropped down, such as for the exhaust and brakes, the turbocharger menu had a single option, a medium-RPM turbo. Somehow, I had overlooked this when buying the other racing tire compounds and the full-customize racing transmission. So I went back to the tuning shop, bought the turbo, and now my PP has gone from a bit over 915 to over 965, with at least three hundred more horsepower! I'll definitely try the mission again sometime this week.

Daytona... The past two days I have tried to win the 800 and 730 race. I obviously have a hard time finding the pace since I am failing to win.

What cars did everyone else use and should I enable the assist markers?

Had to have a physical this morning - they wanted my blood too, gah! Then after that, tangled with Blofeld at Tokyo to the tune of another five million, then ate lunch, then wanted to compete so I tried the Huracan again, and rotten luck for about a dozen attempts, but finally managed to get into a race without a wreck or a wall bang. And darn if I didn't win this one, finally. I might have to try my Murcielago or a Porsche or something tomorrow. Today tomorrow.

I've noticed that Blofeld seems to have learned I'm after him. He fights like mad to get away from me. Very interesting...

Got three wins in Daily B: two in the Mustang and one in the DBR9 despite 95% of the people running the Beetle. Posted about it in the Daily thread.

I did 2 Tokyo runs in anticipation of the UCD delivering a lot of new cars later (11 sold out) and got a 6 star daily ticket! It dared put a 2K coin selection in the mix but settled on 500k! No engine in the mix, 2 cars and 1 mil took the other spots.

Engine swaps might as well be a myth as far as I'm concerned. Not missed a single ticket and the last time I saw one in the line up was weeks ago. Anyway a free GR.3 car of your choice is not a bad reward.

170 million spend on cars so far (112 bought), still missing 20 pre 2000. Hopefully the UCD will fill in some of the gaps today. Also already 28 million spend on tuning to get all the oldies into race shape.

If you're not adverse to using a Gr2 car, the NSX GT500 is great for the 800PP.

As for the 730PP, I've done this race many-a-times because I think it's great fun and a challenge. Won with a fair bit of cars, but the first time is with the Jag... RH tires and don't change them. But, many will do it just be watching the fuel gauge.

Did Sardegna WTC800 in the EPSON NSX which I won from my daily roulette (4* ticket).

I completed all chilli-pepper dirt races which is what got me up to my daily marathon mileage in the first place. First one is really tough (Colorado Springs) did the others quite comfortably.

A bit of grinding for credits then...
Golded a couple of IB licence tests
Browsed a few liveries and decals.
Did a couple of Custom races using my BTCC liveried cars in a grid of 16 around Brands Hatch
Bought a 3mil credit Audi, just to take a picture of it (Trophy gained)

Painted and tuned my Suzuki Cappuccino ready to try the Human Comedy Kei Car endurance race.
Tried it on the 600pp standard event on the same track as the Kei Car race and lost badly!

- Just did a bit more car shopping:

DMC DeLorean S2 '04 (Used)
Fiat 500 1.2 8V Lounge SS '08 (Used)
Maserati GranTurismo S '08 (Used)
Ferrari Testarossa '91 (Used)
Suzuki Swift Sport Gr.4

Car Collection: 257/427

While I have 36 million credits, the reason why I'm only buying a handful of cars at a time is because I'm waiting for the McLaren F1 to pop up again (not to mention the F1 GTR '95) so I'm being careful not to go under 20.

Finished the invite collection!

Did a few missions and Liscense tests. Interlagos S test was too EZ, gold in 3 trys. I have found in every S test so far (6 of 10 done) they do not take the optimal line thru atleast 1 full section of each track, allowing you to catch up to the ghost.

Today i try again Lake Maggiore 1 hour race first try 1 stop with WRX finished 3rd behind AMG and another WRX. Second try with Corvette finish 9th. So another try after some pause was with AMG another fail then try it again with Mazda feel confident with this car but to slow from corners so i decided to try off TCS (I drive without assist only TCS on 1 ) After few test laps i restarted and try again in lap 4 i was first i manage to extend my stint by 1 lap so pits in lap 11, after pits i was 6 second ahead AMG Supra and BMW . Some Traffic ahead of me but i manage to overtake them without problems. I think about extend my stint again by 1 lap want fresher tires in last stint but i worn out tires pretty quick so pitted in lap 21 with BMW . After pits i was 4 seconds behing AMG but managed to set fastest lap of race 1.53.328 and gap was only 1.5 sec after 2 laps i was right behind AMg so overtake him at the end of backstraight and never see him again in front of me. But i need to say thanks to driver of lapped Corvette he got minor incident with AMG at Hairpin with gravel traps so gap was 4 second behind me. But in last lap i got light heart attack when i was late on brakes in first corner lost almost 3 seconds. But manage to finaly win this race

Thanks dude, i will give it another shot and apart from testing other cars, i will enable the corner markers.. i simply can't get a grasp on the breaking and turning points on this track..

Just "won" my first GT Sport race, but didn't spot the rule on tyre use.

First attempt at the Fuji Daily Race (12 laps, Gr 2. car), qualified 3rd, finished 1st and got the Clean Race Bonus, and survived a last ditch assault from 2nd place driver who got a 4 second penalty for ramming me at the last chicane...

Yet I got a 1 minute penalty and ended up with 2nd place.

As I've just seen, there is apparently a rule that you must do at least one lap on Medium tyres - I can now see that this tyre is mandatory, but I changed to Medium tyres just before the race started, but ended up on Softs anyway... a

Absolutely gutted as I drove the perfect race and was delighted to win not only my first ever online race, but also at my first attempt at my practice circuit Fuji.

I did a couple of CE, namely Catalunya and Dragon Trail Seaside. I assume these are much easier after the last update, as I acquired the gold times without any issues. Did a couple of wtc800 races and then started buying some of the invitation cars.
