what do you look for in a car?

what would your ultimate car be like?

or have you already found your perfect car??

for me i would want the mean looks of a muscle car (perhpas a camaro or mustang of the 60's) ... but i want the top speed and handling capabilities of newer more sophistacted rwd drive cars!!

My perfect car has to look mean and sleek and drive FAST but corner well... and not be too common.

I like alot of cars in the game but i still haven;t found the ultimate car that feels AND looks right... i just haven't found the whole package yet!!

Imho the perfect car has already been made - the HQ Holden with 202cui straight six and three on the tree. Unbreakable car, motor and transmission. It is a real shame that modern cars cannot be made to the same standard as cars of the past.

I look for a car with multiple possibilities, and driftable ;). It needs to have a sleek, yet just the right amount of angles on the outside, 2dr coupe is the best look.
I dont like extra comfort, so relatively low weight is an important attribute for my perfect car.
A healthy dose of turbo is a must for me.
can you guess it?
Nissan Silvia S14 K's
so awesome...

Yeah, it's just a pity it's too slow get out of it's own way:dopey:

It depends. When I first got into an old GTV I spent a lot of time looking for the interior door handle (it's hidden under the armrest).

More recently I most often find myself looking for loose change in cars.:D

I thought I had been hacked because I didnt write those posts
lol
that was funny

For me, there is no "perfect" car; nor do I really have a favorite anymore.

I look for these things;

1. Is the car based on something in real-life (in effect, I try not to race "LM" cars anymore since they're not based on reality).

2. Is it appropriate for the race I need to win? I try not to use cars that badger the track with power...and if it does have more a bit too much power, perhaps it has some other fault like poor handling...Thank god GT4 doesn't seem to allow race tires against cars that don't have race tires anymore.

3. Is it something I feel passionate about? This is gonna sound weird but about a month ago I drove a BMW Z4 in the Beginner League Roadster events. don't know why but I was just like "so what?" I thought the races sucked. Meanwhile it was the BMW. I tried the race again in a different car--an ordinary used Miata. For some reason everything changed and I enjoyed the 3 races more in the Mazda.

Driftable, FR, cool looking. Not so popular, (s2000 is my babe)

Is it just me or do the s2000's look different in this game than gt2 and gt3?? even the older used ones seem a bit different and im not sure it is a good difference. Maybe im just crazy...

Well im going to answear the original question which is this thread's title

I always look for at least 2 things in every car i drive...

Balance, and Control.

Balance: "Is it good in corners ?, can it take bumps ?, are the tires up to snuff ?" and more concerning the overall feel of the car
Control: "Is it a smooth ride ?, Or is it a beast ?, can that beast be contained ?" and more concerning the atitude of the car in various conditions

As for perfect cars, i have yet to drive or build a truely "perfect" car, however i am working my Impreza into one, and im quite happy with how that is going 👍

Good luck with that impreza mate... check out project STi thread i was reading the other day, that looks like it has some good tips in it when it comes to that car...

I love the look of that car, however for me the AWD lets it down.. i like my back wheels to push and my front ones to steer thanks. However i have owned and driven one in the game quite a bit and it is really really nice.

As far as my perfect car goes i have been testing lots lately!! and i am loving the M3 at the moment.. also in my cars i don't mind a hair raising ride, at top speeds around the nurb it gets me excited!!!

I like cars that you can really hurl at a corner and know you will have amazing control. The 190E Evolution TC is really good for this, as are the other touring cars. I think the most entertaining thing to do in GT4 is to fly into a corner and instantly change to the next one. I guess I really shoot for balance.

stuborn, piggy, beastly looks....

i like a car that LOOKS powerful. not sleek but gets its speed by muscle.... i pick the copen active top :P

My perfect car is japenese or german - the best enginering.

Athough some of the Italian looks are

Anyway it has to:

Looks good, handles good, and have a pretty nice top speed.

In GT4 i tend to favour Supras, Mazda (only for drifting), Nissans or a proper german beast like an BMW5 or ever M5. Audi R8 is a great car even though a bit expensive 👍

For a perfect car I would like to have a really good fun factor in it! For that reason I really enjoy the TVR Cerbera Speed 12, although balance and good corner abilities are good too, but I prefer to struggle with the car and try to keep it on the road.
Concerning that, I consider my perfect car to be the Ruf CTR 'Yellow bird'!👍

Which mazda?? mx-5 (miata), or one of the Rx-7's / RX-8's??? just out of curiosity as im looking for a new drift project... i know its off the topic a little... but i think my perfect car would be driftable so i appreciate your opinion...

What do you look for in a car?

1. Engine placement and drivetrain (FF, FR .etc) : If its FF I wont buy it.
2. Appearance, if it looks like a brick I wont use it. Aearodynamical shape prefered.
3. Weight
4. Horsepower
5. And last but not least possible engine modifications. (V8: supercharger etc....)

Hmmm, I would say "fun" most of all.

I love driving my Pescarolo on Sarthe. Top handling at high speeds.
But I also like the way the Shelby Cobra's rear wants to go faster around a corner than the front. It's a bit of a fight getting that car to do what you want, but it never frustrates.

And I have more favourites that are plain fun to drive, but I can't look in my garage right now... Bob is taking the Pesky for a (long) spin 'round Le Mans.

Definetely Looks, original look, nothing box-shaped, old fashion and ricer popular.

The look has to look exotic, not tuner

Performance: must steer Good, like a Lemans, not an F1, F1's jsut steer too much for my liking).Accels like a F1, top speed of a Minolta + GT-One,

First and foremost power/weight ratio. Secondly MR or FR. Third and last... sleek.

favorite car (s) -

Lotus Motorsport Elise
Dodge Viper GTS

Greetings Fellow Knights!
If I may, what do I look for in a car?
Loose change in the seats:)
I'm sorry! I couldn't resist!
Appologetically

Har har!

i like cars that handle badly :)

Yeah me too sometimes! Maybe that's why I'd rather race a Triumph Spitfire than a BMW Z4!
