What do you think GT5 will feature at TGS

Well since the newly released videos of GT5 at Gamescon (which is almost definantly just a demo), what do you think GT5 will feature at TGS, will it still be a demo showing off perhaps some other cars on a different track or will it be the complete game which will be showcased at TGS.

What realistically can we expect, i personally think that it will still be a teaser but it will truly show its greatness with some flashy new additions. I admit i was abit disappointed about damage not being in all the cars but after a few days of thinking about it, im not all that bothered about it.

Possibly an example of play testing the full GT mode would be the most realistic, I'd expect to see the Ring being played as well.

Would be very surprised if they dont release a new trailer, which if its in the game would show the day/night stuff or weather.

Will be surprised to see a release date.

I think a release date will be imminent at TGS as its the last place to really grab the headlines and i think everyone is expecting something big to happen at TGS, i will be very surprised to not hear a release date as i cant think of another major show which will happen where they can really flaunt GT5 and then give a release date.

You'll see another trailer, they'll talk about the game, they'll talk features and there will be more playable content though I imagine it will be similar to what we've seen already. We won't see 'The Ring' just yet.
They will not announce a release date but will confirm that the game will not be out until early to mid 2010.

I personally think TGS is the date they will let it all (well much of it anyway) hang out, release date, general information, bunch of car and track reveals in a larger playable demo, plenty of interviews. I they will lall of don't think it out, more will follow at TMS and dabs more until release late this year. Thats my opinion anyway.

I never expected much to be revealed at Gamescom.

This is how I see it. If we get a release date at the TGS then it will be sometime this year '09. IF there is no release date mentioned, I'm afraid to say it may not happen this year, which I'll cry if this happens. But I'm staying optimistic that it will come this year.

The TGS is at the end of Sept... correct? So that leaves 2 full months of advertising a holiday release, which is still plenty of time for a game like this. If no date is mentioned, I dont think there will enough time to properly market it in time for the holiday.

If I was a betting man, which I am, I'd put my money on a holiday '09 release.

I just think that with the PSP version coming out on the first of October, TGS is just too near to that release (and a GT5 release date would take all the attention away from GT PSP)

That said I really hope that I am wrong...

I hope some clear informations about:
- cockpit views
-damages
- WRC
- tracks
-weather
and.. a ****ing release date.

It's pretty much full monty time if the game is releasing during before or in Q1 2010. Full blowout time really if it is to release by March 2010 which I assume will be the case. I would love to see the top gear test track in motion and see if weather has been implemented into the game.

Personally having been raised in Japan and with my liking being Japanese games it is by FAR the biggest gaming event for me. FFXIII blowout, Versus and Agito gameplay, The last Guardian gameplay, GT5 blowout etc.

If anyone cares TGS is September 24-27 and rest assured it will be a spectacle. :D

Edit - The reason I think it has to be blowout time if it's releasing before March 2010 is that GT5 is obviously going to be shown in it's full glory during a large event and TGS is the biggest gaminf event until E3 2010.

What Jay and Kingdizzi said. I'll see if I can think of anything more tomorrow. Oh, I also expect a release date by the second week of December, including a PS3 pack-in.

Holiday release date, and if there's a bundle planned you'll see that too.

And I would say that, in addition to the release date, there would only be a trailer and nothing else, but since they had a playable demo at GamesCom it'd be weird not to have another playable demo at TGS. If there's day/night and/or weather cycles I'd expect to see them showcase that as well.

With PD's marketing strategy, if you could call it that, it's always hard to guess what's coming next.

must do-driving education for the journalists, and online infractions system that would send the punters back to driving school if they'd continue their poor driving.

KY sealed it in my books with his comment in one of the other threads posted up.

If they are concentrating on promoting GTM now. We won't get a GT5 release date till at least GTM is out. After that I'm sure information will flood. So I don't expect much more than what we have at the moment at gamescom.

Hopefully a 2009 release date, although the chances of that look dimmer every day. Apart from that just some clarifications of the ultra confusing list that was leaked.

Hopefully a release date, some more information, and a bigger trailer showing some day/night cycles would be nice. If they have weather, stick that in too.

I'm betting on a 11th December 2009 as the release date. ;)

If this is to be released in '09, most of the information should be known once TGS is over with the possible exception of a full car list/track list.

Just the release date (and make it 2009!).

When I finally get my hands on the game I will start to make claims and demand changes - right now it's the PD's turn to worry about the game and make sure it delivers. I want to discover it bit by bit, so I'd be happy with a glimpse of gameplay, few words about major features, maybe some numbers and that's enough for me.

Happy Birthday!!!!!

Man would that be awsome or what?!

Only a month and a few days away!

I hope for:

1. Video confirmation of Lamborghini, Maserati and Bugatti.
2. Dynamic weather changes.
3. Interior views for 1,000 cars (confirmed or denied)
4. Release date, of course

Hopefully a release date and maybe some clarification on that ambiguous features list. I'm counting that PD will have an actual on stage presentation instead of just a booth. TGS has been big for Gran Turismo in the past and this year should be no different.

In two sentences:

-More content and features futher evolved from the gamescon demo

- A release date as with GTM coming out three days after the fourth day at TGS, its most logical to assume that GT5 won't be too far off and maybe within the same week (Assuming what Kaz says is true)

In one word:

MOAR!
