The strange thing about the car It doesn't have an ABS system. That doesn't bother me because I think I'm a good driver. I'm not planning to use this car for racing or drifting. I just want a good car that can live 4-5 years. If this car started to act crappy after 4-5 years I'll but new one and I don't want a sport car I just want a good car as I said before. Sport is in Gran Turismo, so I don't think I need to buy a sport cars since I already have many of them :sly:

You can check out how the car looks from this website

http://www.toyotauae.com/

Go to Models >>> Passenger Cars >>>> Corolla.

You can see the Exterior view of my car and check out the exterior colore. Also you can view the Interior of the car and the colores.

I choose White Exterior and Black Interior.

So please tell me what do you think about the car?

4-5 years! If you maintain it right, Corolla's known to last a lot longer than that! :D Your Corolla looks little bit different than the Corollas we get in the U.S. I think it looks nice, it's very sensible choice. With the high gas prices these days, I'm looking to purchase a economy car myself, next time around. :)

Woow can last longer than that? My friend has the same car but older 4 years and He is thinking to sell it because he have some problems with his engin. I think he is not taking care of the car because I see many people in my country have older corollas from 8 year and they look fine working very good.

I think so too. Toyota or not, maintainance will have a lot to do with the shape your car will be in. In the States, Toyotas are considered to be one of the most reliable cars. Of course, I'm not knowledgeable about the climate(sand, heat) in your area, so cars could last longer or shorter.

Nice car. Gets terrific gas mileage, and not-bad handling. Not that powerful, though. That 145 hp is more like 126 hp (the brochure numbers are way off). But still, it's a good choice for a keeper.

You've got a very reliable, practical car there. :) 👍

Like a6m5 said, your Corolla should be able to last much longer than 4-5 years if you take proper care of it. My BMW's been running for 20 years and it's still going strong! :D Of course, the climate my BMW has lived in is probably quite different from the environment you live in...

By the way, your english is very good. :)

I don't know but it looks like there is no ABS system in it because When I drove my friend's Corolla it didn't seem there is any ABS system. I tried other Nissan cars of my friends and they felt there is an ABS system.

Until a month ago, I drove a 12-year-old Corolla that had just over 136,000 miles (218,000km).

For a little car with no frills, the engine, drivetrain, interior, and exterior were still top-notch with just a little basic maintenance. The only major problem I had was an air conditioning compressor that siezed up, and required repair, and that was last year.

The new owner of the old Corolla hasn't complained yet, either.

What's the price of that Corolla? Corollas are reliable transportation and can last a long time with proper maintenance. All I've seen in the driveway and garage of my house is nothing but Corolla. My dad has a 1982 Corolla (is the original owner) and the major thing we had to do was an engine rebuild at about 170,000 miles. Other than that it's just routine and preventative maintenance. We just picked up a 1992 Corolla a year ago in good condition, well the interior is excellent, the passenger door met up with a post at a drive-thru by the previous owner. The car now has 130,000 miles and haven't run into any big issues. I give it a 👍 👍

New, they are one of the cheapest cars you can buy. I think the basic models(one's you want, if you are buying a Corolla) are around $15,000. Used ones, at least newer used one's are expensive, because they hold their value so well.

Hiya! :D :embarrassed:  Meow! (='.'=)

Thats a good choice for an economy car that will last beyond 4-5 years. 👍 I am a bit shaky about hearing that the car have no ABS on it though. I would go to the dealer and ask for ABS to get installed on that car. ABS can really save your life....it really saved mine! :embarrassed:

ABS isn't like air conditioning--it's not something that can be installed after the car is built without significant effort.

And in the dry Middle Eastern climate, it's probably not so important. ABS has saved my skin a few times in the snow (I think), but in the dry it actually increases stopping distances from what careful threshold braking can achieve. Ideally, the same would be true in the snow, but it's hard to judge how much traction you have in those conditions.

I forgot about that. :indiff: Adding ABS would clost alot since you would have to add more stuff under the hood and all those brake lines and such. :grumpy:

Good choice. Basic maintenance is all you need to keep it running for more than 8-10 years. My best friend's mother had a mid 1980's Corolla that had over 200k miles before the engine needed rebuilding. Now that's getting your money's worth.

As everyone's said, Corollas are pretty much indestructible and you'll have no trouble hanging on to this one for at least the 4 or 5 years you mention, plus a few more if you need it to.

Your English is plenty good, by the way. :)

I took some pictures with my phone and I don't know how to get the photos on my laptop using bluetooth. Every time I send the photo it tells me unable to send the photo. I'll ask around and post the pictures I love my car ^^
