Err, yeah. I want to delete the all my cookies, but first i don't know what affect it will have on my computer and internet if i delete them. Most of the things that ad-aware picks up are in "my cookies", so if anyone could inform me on what would happen if i would delete them and explain what they are to me, it would be appreciated. :)

Some websites place a small file on your hardrive when you visit it as a way of remember you when you return. We'll take GTPlanet as an example:

Ever wondered how the Automatically login when you return to the site? option works? Well, when you enter your username and password, a small file is placed on your harddrive. When you return to GTPlanet, GTPlanet accesses that file which tells GTP your username and password to automatically log you on.

:)

Yeh, thanks for that eddy and youth cycler, now i understand what they are :)

Well, the only thing I can say for a definition of "cookie" aside from the sweet wafers that everyone enjoys, is that they are files on your computer that a site sends to you. Some cookies are good (for instance, the ones that keep you logged onto many of your favorite sites), however others are bad (they tell their mother-site (made up term) to keep flooding your browser with popups. If you delete your cookies, you'll have to log into your favorite sites again, but usually it's not that painful...
