Go with some RX-7 model (super popular) its easy to control, Supra's (GTOs), various 90s Toyota's work. Nissan Silvias (a14), Skylines (R32, R33, R34-5, GT-R bodies.

The idea is - it has to be Asian, around 1000kg, around 400HP, all assists off. RX-7. Done.

The Infiniti G35 coupe (not concept) or literally any RWD Nissan. The Nissans have their LSD's set up 50/80/0 which makes them super stable. But you'll have to play around with the suspension settings to make them drift machines :sly:

Riiiiiight... ^^^

BMW 135i Coupe '07
I've only driven it a couple of times before I tried drifting it a few days ago, and it's probably one of the easiest cars to drift. The balance felt perfect. I was using a Mt. Aso track.

Seriously. I just took it out for a spin once on Toscana tarmac because I saw it has MR configuration, and thought about how Korean cars are rarely used for drifting. Set a score of more than 20000 points on my first go.
I'll try it. It's been a long time since I drove that car. I remember it feeling clunky, slow going around turns.

Well those cars are very different. You shouldn't lump them together. Especially with different drivetrains.
Yea 👍. I didn't understand what NeonAstral meant when he added "(GTOs)". Now I get it.

In my opinion this was my best drift car so far... I just retired it last night though...

I had a lot of fun drifting it
👍 I used the Citroen GT in the first days that I got the hang of drifting. I was able to drift the loop at Kart Space.

Any of the older ruf cars are super easy to get out of line, also the newer BMW m3 is pretty good.

I also enjoy drifting in the Pontiac solstice concept tuned to around 3-400 horses.

3400S is my favorite ^^^. The older ones need more control to handle. The 3400S feels "smooth".

I didn't "really" mean GTO they just kinda look the same in my head so I forget the differential. FR is a no obviously.
haha No, I get what you mean. That makes sense.

Really...

The Oullim Spirra is a blast as well, with V8 power and all.

3400S is my favorite

The CTR and BTR want to do it naturally, so those are obvious choices and a whole hell of a lot of fun to get sideways in a controlled fashion, RGT has the new car eppel and doesn't take much for some decent angles either.

I think the easiest and one of my first drift cars was the Nissan Skyline 370GT Sedan '07 (Premium).

Yes the SEDAN, not coupe. The sedan is so easy to swing out and hold, the weight distribution is great and the car feels like a complete package.

That was with no suspension mods at all, just a little power (ECU, Exhaust) and Comfort Soft or Comfort Hard tires.

Try it, you'll love it.

The Skyline sedan is fun, the weight helps its stability. Try the GT-8 with its 8-speed (if you don't mind shifting, I've heard of people gearing their drift cars long to minimize shifting but that's with considerable power to push through their chosen gear), as its power and weight are fairly similar but the gearbox provides greater flexibility. Another one I really enjoy is the '99 AM V8 Vantage in mostly stock trim save for suspension and diff, and it has nothing to do with the drift point glitch. Power, stability, and that blood-curdling horn.

My regular drift car is a lightly tuned (260ps) Toyota 86. Other decent choices include FT-86, '88 Supra, AE86 (the tuned one), Altezza RS200, any RX-7, any Silvia/180SX.

Just put on some CH tires and have some fun.

I really like drifting the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. It does need some setup, but not too much. Just don't use the racing exhaust, it makes it the worst sounding v8 in the game. Stick with Sport exhaust. I've drifted with a ton of cars and this car is one of my favorites.

Haha I hope you were kidding, drifting is popular because of the Japanese

But OT go to the drifting forum pick out and FR car and check out the tuning thread, or you can check out the drift teams sub forum introduce yourself. They have meets all the time and a lot of guys are willing to help you tune it yourself

It is kinda slow around turns, hence I added the Sport ECU, a shorter gearbox and some other modifications to the clutch. That's all it takes.

That's not what it has to be.

Anything FR with good power is best for drifting.

The only reason why I think people use Japanese cars is because of the culture. In the 80/90s in Japan the only FR cars that were powerful and cheap (relatively) enough to drift were the likes of the 180SX/240SX/Silvias, RX7s etc.
Drifting then became a pop-culture and then everyone had the impression that Japanese cars are best - when really the Japanese only drove them because they were used to them - but this did add to the popularity as most were good cars anyway.

It's not the car, it's the driver, so any FR with a decent amount of power to get it sideways can drift in the right hands.
