supra?
i was lookin for a car that can compete in the endurance race like the super ring/150 laps.
i have the toyota mol. but it doesnt keep up!

What's a Toyota Mol?

Edit: Speaking of which. Isn't the Super Speedway Endurance Race filled with cars like the R92 and other LeMan Class cars? Tuning cars to near 1000 HP is doable but I think keeping the tires from destroying themselves with that much power is hard to do.

all i know is that you have to bring a big le mans car to the race, no JGTC or regular cars

Your question's kinda vague. There are lots of endurance races with many different opponents types. Take the SS 150 you mentioned. The oppentents are all Group C/LMP cars, so just about any Group C/LMP should work. I did the race with a Toyota 88C-V with Super Hard tires, and blitzed the competition, but it has been done in many other LM cars.

thanks guys
well that super speedway track i was usin some toyota.. sorry i forgot the name and im to lazy to check (sorry =( )
it has over 1000 hp, yet the other race cars ahead of me pull like a mutha trucker so i was deciding to buy a new race car.. so im tryin to decide what to buy under 2,000,000

You were probably using the Toyota 7. It seems fast, but it isn't really. Two options: If you have good driving skill, buy the Chaparal 2J and turbo the hell out of it. If you don't, buy the Gillet Vertigo, turbo the hell out of it and wallride the whole way. Unless you have an LMP or Group C car, that's the only real option for under 2 million.

Actually I suspect he was using the Toyota Minolta... not only is it just a few HP shy of 1,000 while the "7" is shy by about 150HP.... but he also said "Toyota Mol"... which is pretty close to Minolta... in some form of shorthand. :)

The Minolta is arguably one of the best LM cars in the game, but its handling does require a great deal of attention and care. It is also very easy to burn through your tires if you are in the habit of always going full throttle when accelerating off the tight corner on the north side of the track.

I would suggest either switching to a more forgiving, albeit slower LM car like the modern LMP1 cars, or just keep practicing, and go easy on the throttle and stay off the walls.

Dont forget, the Toyota 7 weighs 280 kg (617 pounds) less than most Group-C cars with just a little bit less HP and downforce!

With the regular controller the Toyota 7 drives like crap, but with a steering wheel you could win nearly every race with it; it flys around corners. But dont forget to put driving AIDS off (Except the traction controlling system). Its also very gentle with the wheels, its weight makes the tires much more durable. :dopey:

AFAIK the Toyota 7 pits very late at races, if I remember correctly the Toyota 7 never pitted at the Champoinship at Tokyo. (1st race)

Use whatever you like for endurance racings, but the Toyota 7 is a fine choice if used correctly.

I just wanted to say that the 7 isn't a bad choice against Group C and LMP cars.

oh thanks didnt know lol

i allready got the gillet and the 2d race cars..
but i allready raced them both on the speedway but they dont keep up...

I used the Formula Gran Turismo and Gillet Vertigo for all the Endurace races. If you haven't won the Formula Gran Turismo yet, the Minolta Toyota or Nissan R92CP race cars are among the best.

yes i have both of them.
Maybe its my setup..
would anyone like to share there setup for the minolta Toyota?

What is your B-Spec Driver Skill? I usually leave the cars on default setup and that works fine in B-Spec mode. I use Stage 4 Turbines. If you car is fully tuned, then you probably need to concentrate on pitstop strategies.

Go one extra lap after it auto-pits you and take on fuel only when you need it. Use Increase to Push Hard on the straights, going down to Medium to Reduce for the corners you might crash on. Never pit in if you can finish the race on the hardest tyres. Use the softest tyres possible to get you from pitstop to pitstop otherwise.

You can usually divide the lap total by the number of laps the lead car gets before needing to pit, to find out how many extra laps you need to get after it tries to auto-pit you, in order to be in 1st position for the last few laps so you can win.

Once you get far enough ahead this way, you can just set the pace to Medium or Increase and let it auto-pit you for the remainder of the race.

use the formula Gran torismo on a-spec. thats what i did, and i had 10 laps on those fools.

I somehow doubt he has won it yet. He wouldn't need advice on winning those Endurance races if he had experienced its goodness. :)

In stock form and no adjustments, when driven properly, both of those will dominate the AI drivers.

If you were having problems driving those powerful Group C cars, I would repeat my earlier recommendation:

Digital-Nitrate
I would suggest either switching to a more forgiving, albeit slower LM car like the modern LMP1 cars, or just keep practicing, and go easy on the throttle and stay off the walls.

If you are not familiar with which cars are the LMP1 cars, I have listed them, below, ranked by overall performance:

  1. 2001 Audi_____ R8
  2. 1999 BMW______ V12 LMR
  3. 2004 Pescarolo PlayStation C60/Judd
  4. 2003 Pescarolo Courage C60/Peugeot

Each can be bought new in the showrooms for $4.5m credits. In addition, the Audi R8 can be won by a victory at 24hrs @ Le Mans (Circuit de la Sarthe I). If you have decent B-spec stats, but are still having problems driving the Minolta, let your B-spec driver take over the controls and you should easily win this race... and the Audi R8.

Allrighty
my B-Spec points is nearly 5000, yet when i do the superspeed way enduro race i get stomped on using the minolta
i guess i will just practice more

i live in a ghetto place!
This is not a "ghetto place". Please use correct english, not slang, while you are posting here.

They are cars, not "hoes" or "whores". And I don't believe anyone here is a "nazi" either. Please refrain from using these terms here.

cerpin_taxt - I'm getting tired of your off-topic and often-gibberish posts.
