Really? That'd be quite low on my list, non-adjustable downforce limits it pretty badly...Opendriver
I'd say the Audi R8. It'll push clear of 350mph, first hand experience, and it's such a good all-round race car you won't ever be at a disadvantage in any race in the game.

Love that car! I used a stock Bentley to win the 24 hrs of LeMans (La Sarthe I), and that was easy. I made sure I had the two Pescys and an R8 and the V12 BMW in the field, just for the sport. I wanted a Toyota GT-one in there too, but after more than 50 retries, I settled for yet another Bentley.And for pure top speed, the Bentley wins!
I might add that the other Bentley finished last, though...

I don't want to insult your choice, but I wouldn't have got that.
Why not the 2003 / Peugeot Pecarolo? Screaming V6 with almost equal power and a beautiful gearbox, and it's not so much Sony's 'company car'
Maybe I'm being biased, but I think my R8 is faster than the 2004 Pescarolos (100% stock parts)... I always seemed to come out on top in qualification against them! And no Pescarolo can do 351mph

You´re right, the R8 is faster around a track than the Pescy ´04. I would´ve gone for the R8 instead of the Pescy ´04, and surely an ´03 before the ´04 too! Gotta love love the scream of the V6!

As for any other non 7 digit car, I'd go with the Lotus Espirit. It's also capable of 300+.

the best power-to-weight ratio in a buyable production car (non-race car) is the Cerbera Speed 12. It has a power-to-weight ratio comparable to the LMP cars. Just gotta tune it right.

I think Caddy is one of the fastest cars (I went 458.56km/h or 286.6mph I think) but its not buyable...too bad. What about those LMP cars, like the Mazda 787B or the Toyota GT-One, they're all buyable and they're just sick speed machines! Ford GT does nice for the price you pay, too, as well as Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (I went 423.02km/h or 264.4mph), fully tuned with 999hp and 1046 lbft of torque. Acura HSC does good too by the way.

Duck maybe right about the GT-ONE but i think the Sauber Mercedes C9 is the fastest because i had so mouch trouble over taking it with my MINOLTA and R92CP it was complete hell trying to overtake it.
