What is the point in "Tuner Village" ?

this thread is completely wrong, the pricing and power outputs for each tune is different for where you shop. Shop around more!

How to see what you have modified on your car.. and what the tuner's compagnies you've choose ?? after the modification

ex.. suspension..HKS
turbo ..Spoon
etc...

the only real reason to use "tuner" parts is for "original" parts

original suspension offers stiffer settings than race suspension

original turbo offers about the same power as turbo 4 BUT better response throughout the power band.

as long as the parts say "original" then get those quick.

wait wait wait! i got an racing suspension instead of the original. i figured because it was more expensive, the full customize race version would be better.

I CANT BELIEVE I GOT SO RIPPED!

my question is: is this the only part where the original part is actually cheaper than the race version? i drive an FD.

why dont you try the original suspension to see which one is stiffer. i know with turbos the original would be better

PD have added a few specail parts called original parts not available in the manufaturers areas, these parts are better than any other respective parts. As for the Bhp levels being the same my mate says he's had different power outputs depending on where he's shopped and what car he tuned.

yeah I was wondering if anyone was going to notice the HPA GTI selling for $31k and change. Thats a hell of steal for 550 hp! I honestly think PD made a mistake when setting the price for this.

Actually, I figured it out. Just checked HPA's website and the Stage II package(one in the game), totals in right at $31,000. So my guess is PD took that price and charged that much for the car. Unfortunately, they forgot to take into account the intiial cost of the car. :sly:

I love this game!!!

I've heard of Alpina before, and the reason why I didn't mention Alpina was because I thought they were like, some specialty vehicle group or just another car company altogether. You know, I thought Alpina was like what Saleen is to Ford. But yeah.

If PD was looking for the hottest Euro tuner brand, who should PD have looked up? I'll have to read more about the "Full Model" deal.

The first car of the game that I invested any pride in, and also my first new car, was the Mitsu Evo. VIII MR. I installed the original turbo in that and it was a great performer. However, that car's been long replaced by the insanely quick 350Z Race Car. Was I the only one that was just shocked stupid to see that Cadillac Cien rotating in the middle of my screen only ten minutes into the game?

I was pleased to see that selling a rally raid car could get me a GT-R N1 with 750hp, good times.

This may sound stupid but, can you tune a tuner’s car? If you can, there you go; you’ll need to go to the tuner village to tune your car. I haven’t tried this myself since I don’t have enough money yet.

Yes, the tuner's car "must" be tuned at the respective tuner's "shop".

As far as there not being a difference in hp levels, I think it is dependent on the car. The CRX may not have different hp per "kit"/ per "tuner", but my RX-7 hp levels varied based on tuner and respective offerings. Those numbers also varied from the numbers by going to the "Mazda dealership".

I think the Tuner village is a good idea only really because you can easily find tuner cars there but there does need to be more tuners.

Among the other European tuners mentioned previously such as Brabus, Hamann, AC Schnizter, APR, etc. where are some of the big names in Japanese tuning such as Signal Auto, Top Fuel, and especially Top Secret?

I mean, Top Secret couldn't wait for a new Skyline GT-R so they built their own! I would have loved to see that in the game.

But I guess it does come down to who can and will pay for the exposure.

For specific cars, the Tuner village tuners provide better "original" tuner parts for less money.

Take my Skyline GT-R for example... Mine's original turbo kit provides far better output at lower rpm's than NISMO's stage 4 turbo, and cheaper too. I read the same thing about original suspensions but I haven't tried it myself.

So, if you have a Skyline GT-R, Evo, or Imprezza and want to max-tune it, take it to the Tuner Village instead of the manufacturer.

Yeah, I had to kick myself after taking a look at the HPA, assuming I needed an R32 first (without trying to buy the package), buying the R32, only to find out that the "package" was an entire car (the R32 was my second purchased car, after my '89 300Z). Pretty funny - esp. since the HPA model is actually cheaper than stock, and offers MUCH better performance.

It also kind of bugs me, though - you can't buy a turbo or supercharger or anything for a stock R32 in GT4, and yet here's this turbocharged HPA version - wtf?

tuner village parts are cheaper, not by much but there still cheaper.

you can get "original" (better) parts

You can buy specialy tuned cars from there.

Why do people leep on saying that there is Stage 5 turbo..? all i see in the turbo area for some cars are up to "Stage 4" turbos only go up to 4 1-2-3-4....why do people sya 5 when there is 4.?

Some cars have stage 5 like the Supra. Check it out.

they're in the Tuner Village section, its labeled "Original" and they're only available in that section. They also have "Original" suspension packages too.

I added some parts (flywheel, clutch and sports suspension) to my Mirage from Mitshibishi.
I then went to the Tuner Village and tried to buy the same parts again. I was not allowed to buy these parts. A message popped up saying these parts are allready fitted.
I went to my garage and removed the parts back to stock and went back to the Tuner Village and tried buying the same parts again and was still unable to buy them. It looks like the parts are the same from the dealer and the tuner shop unless you have the option of the special turbos and suspension upgrades for a particular car.

Don't forget Vielside. They would have been a great addtinon. Being able to buy the parts for your car. And a body kit athat is actully useful kinda like a racing modifcation.

I think PD should have their own tuning section at the village for the Formula 1. You can't even change tires on it, that's so frustrating!
On a more on-topic note, although I haven't really worked on buying original parts for any cars (most of the cars I use can't be tuned at the village), I do like that they have Tuner cars from specific tuning companies. I think its a great addition to the game, and it wouldn't feel complete without them. (The game doesn't feel complete as it stands, but this definitely goes a long way towards changing that).

someone needs to make some tests on wether there is a HP difference on certain cars when tuned in the different tuners... maby someone with lots of spare time?

that the Ford Mustang has one of the largest aftermarkets yet one place in GT4 to tune one.....same with alot of cars I know. so I agree with the Advertising dollars theory.

Give it time the next one will probably have more Tuners. Remeber the game is made by Japanese ppl really for Japanese ppl. take for granted we even have teh game unlike so many other japanese games we don't get. So instead of gripping and complaing about it. Give it time PD is starting to realise hey this game is really becoming a world wide thing now. Look at american car from GT2 compared to GT4 There are a fair amount and alot more makers. So keep finger crossed for moe tuners next time. Like Turner motorsports,Vielsdie, top secert, etc........

As I said before, there is a point to all of this. The Tuner Village offers more vehicles and more for you to tune, granted you had a good car worthy of tuning. The HPA Motorsports R32 Golf Stage 2 is a sick machine. It's registered as an American Car, so I was shocked that I could enter this thing into stuff like the Muscle Car and Hot Rod competitions, I beat the pack by like... 26 or 30 seconds! I was like "oh, this is going to p*ss off the Detroit Iron boys and girls!" I been wanting to race with that Trial Celica SS-II since seeing Prologue pictures of it. Now that I've had it, it's a bit of a JGTC car, just not with the insane speed or super-flamboyant bodystyles. Nice machine regardless. My favorite one has to be the Amuse S2000 GT1. Ever since using one in Mission 24, I learned this car had some spunk. It doesn't remind me of the Honda S2000 LM Racer in GT2, but this is so much like a race car, I don't even think this should be a tuner car. Maybe a GT3-level car at least. I still want to have enough money to get the RE Amemiya Mazda RX-7 JGTC racer. Zoom-Zoom!

I think PD wanted to branch out GT to appeal to as many people as possible. That includes most of us tuner car fans. That Option Fairlady Z is a drift car to me. You just have to drive it right around courses. I think it's probably better suited to Gymkhana, where you can just slide your car around anywhere you please. I think even if you don't like tuner cars, kind of try a few of them out. Tuner car fans are car lovers too, even if they can't respect a Nissan Skyline and a Chevy Camaro at the same time.

For GT5, I'd like to "challenge" PD to bring in hot American and European tuners. Holden's in GT4, so why not HSV (Holden Special Vehicles)? Here in Houston, I believe we have a well-known American car tuner in Hennessey. So it would be nice to see a few more tuners in. It would be a subculture to Gran Turismo, not to mention a nice way to get into the game, even if you rather prefer a Spoon S2000 over a Dodge Viper. By the way, I'm going to try to mod my Toyota Tacoma right now.
