What is the Region of your GT6 disc?

743
United States
USA
Just messing around with my GT6 game save and noticed that my disc is a BCJS and the region is JP. Im assuming that is Japan. My GT5 disc was a BCUS or US region disc if my memory serves. Thing is I bought both GT5 and GT6 as preorders from GameStop here in Manhattan USA. Any reason GameStop would sell me a JP region disc instead of a US region disc. This may be nothing but just a bit puzzling.

I haven't noticed what my disc's region was. I'll check later and get back with you.

Call SCEA. It seems odd that you'd receive a disk made for another region when purchased inside the USA.

That's good, it means the disc is made in Japan. I have Asian Limited Edition 15th Anniversary - Preorder, and both the book, and the game ( disc + case ) are printed and made in Japan. BCJSxxxx gamesave too, the disc should be in gold color ( data surface )

Why do you have to continually try to belittle people or otherwise come off as a smartass? I think its time you slow your roll and at least try to answer questions asked by members here instead of just giving some snide remarks.

As for your question Snakebitten, I haven't noticed what my disc's region was. I'll check later and get back with you.

Do you honestly think that question is worth opening a whole new thread?

If the game works fine, why worrying about it?
And if it truly is an issue, contact the retailer you bought it from, simples!

I've been here for a while now and this boards have never had such an amount of pointless and useless threads man!

Maybe because it could cause issues with DLC or similar? Ever thought of that?

It is reasonable to open a thread for it, he didn't do anything wrong.

Well, instead of being a smartass about everything that you think is irrelevant, then report the posts and let the staff decide what's best. Simple. But then I guess you couldn't be a smartass then and up your post count with useless remarks.

DLC, interesting, I want to know if the OP can buy and use DLC from US store, did you use any codes ( 15th Anniversary cars ) ? If yes, does it work when you redeem it from US store ? If it does, then DLC might not be locked anymore.

My Asian LE GT6 has codes for cars and credits + stuff, redeemed it at HK store while my game disc and save is of Japanese region.

Post count means nothing to me bro, I'm not that much of a loser in that respect. :D

Thanks for the sensible replies guys. Ridox mine was the preordered Anniversary Edition through GameStop. The data surface on mine is silver not gold colored. Also on the label surface of the disc it says BCUSxxxx in tiny print but when I look at the save data in Bruteforce it says its BCJSxxxx.

Does the game now save your game saves in a JP market format? This did not happen with GT5 game saves. My GT5 disc and saves were both BCUSxxxx. Very interesting. I wonder if PD did this is done on PD's end as some way to fix the glitching?

First, I'm not your "bro"
Second, stop making useless posts then. And nice try at your cheap shot there. :sly: Just because I'm an active member in the community, doesn't make me a loser.

The thing is, that a Japanese regional disk was sold in a US store in Manhattan may mean that the disk isn't legit. And above any other concern, that could be a problem in the future for the user who has it. Not that it IS a problem, or that it WILL be, but that it could be. I just checked my preorder Gamestop disk. It's marked as a BCUS disk.

Thanks for the quick reply, that is very interesting, that means all game disc have the same save region coding - this might be a way for PD to combat hybrids ( save modding ) - FYI, the saves are now scrambled even after being decrypted.

If your game disc says BCUS, then that means the game is US region, and most likely printed locally in US - hence the silver color. The Japanese made disc are all in wavy patterned gold color, similar to MGS4 Double Layer BR. Also, I would like to add that my game region on the game case spine is BCASxxxx - Asian region.

You are a moron and you have no problem advertising that fact for free eh? You don't even know why I asked the question but in your self-righteous ignorance you assumed a lot didn't you?

Ive been having a lot of problems with my DLC cars and turbo's, Veyrons not stopping, weird random moves from my cars while driving that I didn't imput etc. I have been trying to find out why when I noticed the discrepancy between the BCUS disc and BCJS game save. That is the reason for the thread. Just curious if others that dont have my problems have the same discrepancy.

I didn't say you're a loser, it was your assumption, active member of the community,!
And you're making me wonder which one is worst, me for making "useless posts", or you for being like a dog with a bone and not letting it go man! :D

Yes its US region that's why I was puzzled to see a JP market save ID. I'd be interested to see if others have the same discrepancy. I still don't know whats wrong with my game. Ive reinstalled several times, bought new controllers and still having the same problems. Im wondering now if its my PS3 as I haven't seen any other posts about the random car movements, screen flashing to rear camera every now and then etc.

I was just responding to your posts, which in hindsight, was my mistake. Don't worry, no further replies will be posted by me to you.

Another assumption on both counts. You are trying to imply some of us are wasting our lives on GT6 and this forum and yet here you are wasting your life posting nonsense over and over again. Brilliant strategy to make your life look superior to ours.:odd:

First I would suggest to go to controller options, make sure all input commands are assigned properly, check if right analog stick is assigned to steering, gas/brake, rear view ? I had my right analog assigned to gas/brake when I 1st started the game, and as my controller is old, it randomly brake or gas by itself
I would try to use wired controller setup, plug the USB cable while playing, disable music - untick all music in the playlist, and turn the volume off, and use lowest HD resolution - 720P, untick 1080i and 1080pp to force it. See if the issues persist.

If you consider the thread useless, why are you replying to it, without providing any helpful information?

My game also saves as BCJS, while US GameStop Pre-Order.

This is an interesting find. I knew PD had gotten away from "Region Locking" the game saves and saved replays. I did not realize this was their means of getting there.

It's actually quite convenient for us in the WRS events, as it means any member from any region can check another member's replay.

Stop posting useless dribble. If you can't help or don't have anything substantial to add, don't post. Also, don't double post minutes apart, get on point.

And quit the back and fourth from here on out or the thread gets locked. OP asked a simple question, no need for any of this sidetracking to have even started in the first place.

Sounds like you're the bored one who needs a walk chiclana.

I guess we were working over the top of one another.

Sounds like you have reinstalled game data. Have you tried starting a new Game Save? Do you have any that you archived on your PC or USB that you could revert to?

Game Data can become corrupted, but I've also seen corrupted save data cause all sorts of odd issues.

That is actually quite good for the WRS, good point and good to know. 👍 I actually just checked mine, and it is just like yours (saves as BCJS) and it was also a GameStop preorder.

Thanks Wardez and I will end my part in the back and forth. Interesting info on the region locking. I did not know that. I guess this is nothing more than that then.

Hmmm...I double check this again. I remember checking this out first when it started happening but I've reinstalled several times since so maybe I need to recheck. Thx.

Yes I have reinstalled data. I have a few saves that I can revert to on a usb. I've tried two different ones and I still have the camera issue and Veyron, turbo on the Anny Cars issue with them all. I may just have to scrap it all and start over from scratch and see how that goes after I recheck the commands as Ridox mentioned. If that doesn't work Ill have to start from scratch.

I'm pretty sure all save games in GT6 are BCJS, just like Sorg mentioned earlier.
My disc is BCES
It makes my life also easier on another forum
