Hi, just a question:

Why does the Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd Race Car '05 seem to be so much faster than the Courage C60 - Peugeot Race Car '03 and the
Pescarolo-Courage - Judd GV5 Race Car '04? if there is a race bvetween all three, The C60-Peugeot usually comes last, with the Courage-Judd GV5 somewhere in the middle and the Hybride right at the top.

What is more confusing is; that the Hybride is cheaper, has only 648BHP and has less torque than the others yet performs better? I haven't got any to see for myself, but why do you think this happens?

But mygranturismo.com has only got info on completely stock cars, and that says 648BHP. The AI only uses stock cars, and B-Spec is the only place I've seen Pescarolo cars.

Yes, that may be it. Another reason I thought of in the first place was that it was newer, but then I noticed it was only one year's difference.

Here's your problem:

The AI does not use stock cars in GT5 like they did for past GT games. The AI uses cars that are (usually poorly) performance-scaled up/down to whatever PD thought the race should have.

My guess is that whoever did the myGranTurismo.net took their data from the car as it appeared on the Typical Opponents list. Click on the link to the car. People are submitting that it actually has 950 horsepower.

Ah. That would be complete idiocy on my end. Apologies to all within a billion mile radius.

Actually I think the mygranturismo.com's not taking the data from typical opponents. I think they're simply reading the data given in UCD before bought. On typical opponents C60 Hybride should still have 900+BHP, if you check the Indy 500 Endurance. UCD data is mostly wrong with those LMPs. It may be set to have such and such horsepower for Le Mans, but the machine's true potential will be revealed once you get in touch with them.

I know, I keep checking my UCD hoping that one would come up, but it never does. My strategy is doing 3-6 Tokyo R246 Dream Car Championship races, then checking the UCD, but none have come up. I have 7,000,000 cr to spend, but they have only showed up a couple of times, and I didn't have enough credits then? Anyone want to trade me one before 3rd March? PM if interested.

UCD data is very close to real life, most of the LMP cars have more power in the game than real life

EDIT: and I'll add I wouldnt buy the '04 model... the handling is not so good. I've been tuning it for a while on and off, the lap speed is OK, but the handling is terrible, fighting the car the whole lap.

Let me see I have a Courage Hybride in my (real) garage at this moment, and a rolling road aswell, should I check the BHP of the real car? 💡

I doubt it has 950bhp... at Le Mans 2005 there were doing worst quali times than the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP from 2008 and that had 700BHP...
