What JDM cars from the 90's would be good to use for a custom race?

I'm trying to create a custom race with a 1990's JDM theme. So far these are the cars I have chosen, but I know I'm missing some and need help figuring which cars are a must to have.

  1. Honda Civic Sir II EG 93
  2. Honda Civic Type R EK 97
  3. Honda Civic Type R EK Touring Car
  4. Honda Civic Type R Ek 98
  5. Honda Integra Type R DC2 95
  6. Honda Integra Type R DC2 98
  7. Honda NSX Type R 92
  8. Honda S2000 99
  9. Garage RCR Civic
  10. Toyota Supra RZ 97
  11. Nissan Skyline GT-R V•spec II (R32) '94
  12. Nissan Skyline GT-R V•spec (R33) '97
  13. Porsche 911 Carrera RS Club Sport (993) '95
  14. Porsche 911 Carrera RS (993) '95

You have a massive performance difference between many of these cars.

The S13 and S14 Silvia Ks and FC RX7 would be a good matches for the FWD Hondas, while the 300ZX and FD RX7 would be good matches for the higher-powered cars in the list. Even though the Z is labelled as "1980s" years, the 300ZX spent most of its production in the 1990s (1989-2002).

I'm also a little confused why you're including Porches in a "JDM" event.

Depends what type of series you’re trying to create. A free for all classic Gran Turismo with all cars mashed together? Super Taikyu? Super GT?

You’ve got just about half the Mitsubishis to add:
  • Evo III, IV, V, VI
  • GTO
  • 400R
  • Impreza 22B, Type R
  • MR-2
  • Celica

Special mentions:
  • Beat
  • Capuccino
  • You can squeeze in the R34 as that came out in ‘99. Also the Amemiya FD for filler.
  • As mentioned about the Silvias, there’s the SilEighty as well.

You should have them grouped by 'class' like a race with:

Nissan 300ZX Z32
Toyota Supra MKIV
Mazda RX-7 FD3S
Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R
Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R
Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R
Nismo 400R GT-R
Mitsubishi 3000GT <---- Abit too slow and heavy I think to be competitive but I could be wrong.
Honda NSX <---- This one is abit OP compared to the rest, atleast when I did a custom race myself using the 300ZX.

The Hondas are all too slow minus maybe the S2000, but some other suggestions are also the WRC Impreza and the WRC Celica GT-Four to spice the races up.

I'm also a little confused why you're including Porches in a "JDM" event.
I guess because Porsches were pretty popular in 90's Japan, they were the wildcard in that respect.

Best Motoring style I see.

All of them if you organize them correctly. Like 1-6 and 9 can race together as well as 10-14. I would add a handful of cars already mentioned to the latter tho.
