  6. Everybody's Golf 5

This is what I am interested in possibly getting:

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is worth it if you like RPG's made in a more western style (and I don't mean Western as in Cowboys :sly: ). The pace can be kinda' slow but that's fine if you want to roam around and slowly build up your character. It's pretty big too. Plenty to do.

Personally I have Resistance and F1 coming. After that I'm not sure. But I will be getting the GTHD demo and Tekken 5 DR downloaded asap. I reckon that'll tie me over for a month or two. Then I'll see what's available.

Well, I have Motorstorm, Resistance, and Fight Night Round 3 (will become eBay fodder soon)... plus Blast Factor, fl0w, and GTHD as downloadable games.

I have Ridge Racer 7 (no comment, as I may be flamed for my opinion again), Call of Duty 3 (first game), Formula One: Championship Edition, Need For Speed: Carbon, and Resistance right now. GTA IV has been preordered. I'm considering Oblivion, I've already got it for X360 and PC. Lair, Heavenly Sword, GT5, and MGS:4 will also be added to my collection eventually. Motorstorm, too. I have the GTHD demo, which is excellent, and the Blast Factor and Genji demos. Blast factor seems like it would be a fun game, but I think I'll save my money. I haven't played Genji yet.

I'd rank my games (not demos) like this:

Resistance
F1:CE (pretty much a tie for first)
CoD3
NFS:C
RR7

At the moment I have Motorstorm and GTHD on the HDD. I plan on picking up Resistance: FOM after renting it and enjoying it. Only had the PS3 for a few days now, been playing it on a normal 19" TV. Sucks, but it works for now until I can get a new HDTV.

I currently only have Resistance. Its a lot of fun, but for me, only in short bursts. (unless its online)

I have GTHD, which is awesome, although a tad bit boring, but after all, it is just a demo. And with that said, its an awesome demo! Although I really think that PD needs to step up the sound of the cars.

I will be getting Elder Scrolls when it comes out, which I believe is Saturday. After prom, when i recover from my financial deficit , I will probably get motorstorm. But I want to get Elder Scrolls first, because at the price of prom, I will probably need a game that can last me a while!. And I am really looking forward to Lair, Heavenly Sword, and GTA IV.

I have Ridge Racer 7 (no comment, as I may be flamed for my opinion again),

I'm waiting to pull the trigger :D

I have

Resistance
Ridge Racer 7
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Motor Storm
NBA 2K7 used
Blast Factor
GTHD Concept
Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection

Getting Virtua Tennis 3
Heavenly Sword
WarHawk
All Pro Football 2K8(YES!)

How is marvel?

Well this the third game in the series but my first time playing it. To me its a joke compared to other action rpg's. but I dont look at it that way and apparently the reviews dont either. Its addicting and i like the graphics engine. The normal mapping and lighting look fantastic, the characters look horrible up close but from far they look fine. I got it on sale $40 with Gears. So i paid 4 $80 for both, like buying one and getting the second 66% off :). Frame rate is passable. 8/10 to me, it also has some replay value from what I've played with the simulator. Online is weak and i would've even bother as no is playing it.

Just a little update from me. I loaded up RR7 again and I had some fun. The only thing that still makes me mad about it is how the cars understeer completely if you don't drift. I know, you're supposed to drift almost all of the corners, and I do. I just hate when you exit the drift a little early and, because the cars can barely turn, plow into the wall and lose all momentum.

I also played the Genji demo today. Cool graphics and probably a great game, but fighting games like that just aren't my thing. A little too much magic and button mashing, maybe. And whose idea was it to have a fixed camera so you're completely blind of what is happening off-screen?!

I have F1 and Motorstorm. The GTHD is good, but the replays are a bit choppy. The level of detail though is something else. I'm looking forward to Devil May Cry 4 and Army of Two.

Ebiggs, once you get more used to the steering try it online, just stick to the normal drifting cars, dynamic can be too hard for beginners. If you get far enough ytou'll start unlocking the parts upgrades and the games gameplay will really shine when you can turn pretty much any car into any drift type. And the various nitrous systems may seem confusing but start off small. I had a blast playing it online last night. but paying in the evening you will get less people online because most japanese are still sleeping :)

I'll add you to my buddy list and maybe I can help

GTHD's replay's are choppy? They look smooth to me, they are just in 30 frames per second with motion blur, but definitely not choppy.

Well since the launch is upon us EU boys, I think I will let you know what I will be taking home on Friday at about 12:15am (My local gamestation is having a launch party again like they did with the ps2).

Pops has on order:

1) RFOM
2) F1
3) Motorstorm

I have on order

1) RR7

I plan to download games GTHD & demo of HSG/EBG

Games I brought on release day were Motorstorm,Resistance and F1CE.
I plan on getting Oblivion, just read about the new Starwars game, sounds awsome and of course GT5 the biggie for me and many others I'd say.

I played it when it was in the arcades in the mid 80's....

I bought it when it came out on PC in the mid 90's...

I bought it when it came out on DVD in 2000...

Now it looks like I'm going to be buying it again on Blu-ray...

Dragon's Lair for Blu-ray

Dragon's Lair Blu-ray Trailer (46 MB)

EuroGamer article
Dragon's Lair is on its way to PlayStation 3 early next month - and indeed anything else you might have that can play back Blu-ray films.

Digital Leisure sends word that the Blu-ray version of the former arcade and laserdisc adventure has been digitally restored and enhanced with 5.1 surround sound. It also features interviews with original creator Don Bluth, Gary Goldman and Rick Dyer, and a full-length "visual commentary" on the game - with all special features presented in 1080p.

It's due out on 9th April, and DL promises there are no "annoying pauses at decision points" in the game to slow down your experience.

Its website also suggests it's working on Dragon's Lair II and Space Ace Blu-ray editions, having used the first project to get to grips with the BD-J (Blu-ray Disc Java) interface. To keep an eye on its progress, feel free to lurk on the website.

And let's hope the end result is a bit better than Dragon's Lair 3D. Hrm.

So far I have the following:

Motorstorm - Great fun (particularly as the PAL servers seem to be much better now), but the loading times are a total drag.

Resistance FOM - Not played this much, but from the first few levels it looks good and certainly has enough going on at any time.

Ridge Racer 7 - Always loved the RR series and this one doesn't disappoint, looks good and who can resist silly sized drifts.

Tekken - Cheap and cheerful it looks a bit basic and some of the animations are a little off (but they seem to have always been in Tekken), good for two player, but too shallow for me in single player.

I've also played the following demos...

Full Auto 2 - Bloody awful - played once and deleted it straight after.

Genji - Looks very nice, but the fixed camera is a nightmare, again a quite trip to deletion land for this one.

GT HD - Quite frankly stunning looking, can't wait to see what comes next (just spend some time on the physics please PD).

F1 CE - A rather pretty update of the last PS2 F1 game, OK but far from a must.

I also downloaded the Home video from the US store today and have to say this could add a rather interesting new twist to GT Planet.

Regards

Scaff

Trust me, or check out the F1CE threads in GTP's PS3 forums - the demo is a very poor example of the actual game. At the very least rent it so that you can discover all the really nice features this game has to offer. I predict F1CE is going to spur many large online and LAN racing leagues. 👍

I know that every time I play it on and offline, it makes me all the more dissapointed with GT4 and GTHD, and seriously hope they look very closely at many of the features that Sony's Liverpool Studios developed for F1CE, and impelment them into GT5.

Interesting indeed... and possibly scary. I hope they offer virtual mace. ;)

Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection

Much more to come!

Well, I have...

*drumroll*

Motorstorm, Blast Factor, and fl0w. More or less a humble "collection", but I'd rather spend $60 on games like Lair, MGS4, and Heavenly Sword.

Planning on buying My PS3 soon and my first game will be F1 CE!! Game looks awesome and lots of people seem to love it... Other than that, GTHD for sure then im not really sure what other games i will buy but Assassins Creed and The Darkness look really cool! Check em out!

Only F1 and Motor Storm. Would pick up Oblivion however I'm afraid that except for work I'd never see the light of day again.

haha, oblivion is a pretty time consuming game, but i only play it for an hour or two every night that i dont work or im not hanging out with my girlfriend.

I have:

Motorstorm (fantastic game)
Resistance (another fantastic game)
F1 (good game)
Ridge Racer 7 (complete crap game - i dont even know why i bought it)

Downloaded:

GT : HD (uncertain of gt:hd - its certainly a good game but driving physics seem to be getting very unrealistic - ironic for the most realistic driving simulator but its true)

It puts me off playing these games as the PS3 is stubborn with my Linksys router - however i have picked up a Netgear one (anyone using a netgear router with PS3???).

Also i would buy oblivion wen it comes out but i have a 360 and i think i will enjoy it more because of the achievement system the 360 has. Plus my 360 doesnt have a domestic with my router when i'm online.

Other games i want = I have no idea as the release schedule for PS3 looks fairly empty apart from the obvious Colin Mcrae and GT5.
