What Racing Games Are Better than GT5?

People really are forgetting something here... Let me explain.

Name one game that can teach you how to drive on a real track ?

Name one game that can make you actually feel the G forces while you play ?

Let's take a Logitech G27 for example, you have that, using it with GT5 and iRacing, for example, what will be the biggest difference in actual feel ? You guessed it, there is NO difference, why ? Because the wheel is exactly the same one no matter which game you use it with.

And how many degrees this wheel has ? 900 degrees.

At this point, does anyone know about a car that might turn more than just 900 degrees in real life ?

How about the sounds then ?

Show me how many speakers a real car has ?

Can a 7.1 DTS make the sound EXACTLY the same than you would hear the source outdoors in real life ?

So, in a nutshell, there is NO game or simulator that could possible feel like the real deal, or does someone disagree ?

Someone pointed out the Flight Simulator, is he saying that playing that game makes true pilots ? NO, didnt think so.

Disagree because different games use the force feedback differently.

I've been enjoying TDU 2 at the moment, it's more fun than GT5, but it's not as welcoming, I always return to GT5.

TDU2  I lost all my money to the Casino (got it as free DLC). Plus I'm too much of a chicken to restart to learn from ym mistakes. so as of now, it supports the bottom of my game pile...collecting dust...

No games are better than GT5. It's 'da best, yo.

Join my drift league, ya feel?

But seriously, for the PS3, it's one of my favorites. What it lacks in livery design and Recent, licensed race cars, I make up for in Shift 2.

I can't think of any racing games that are better than GT5. California speed is too loose with physics, the Cruisin' series is purely arcade, Fast and furious as well, Forza series while it has improved, still feels like cars on ice to some extent, Need For Speed lost its edge. BUT It doesn't mean i don't enjoy them. GT5 is real cars almost real physics. Forza is a close second. Need for Speed is great too. The rest have ladies in Bikinis telling you when its time to start the race LOL!!!
Anyways, every racing game is good in its own respect but GT5 is probably the one to go for if you want close to life racing.

iRacing ;)

how is that ironic?

I shouldn't even have to explain...

please do! no seriously. :dopey:

Well if you really want to know.
In a lot of your posts that I see, you are arguing the greatness of GT5 and bash all who oppose it.
Ironic that you were calling him a fanboy when I can clearly see who the fanboy is. And for the record, I own 3 GT games and love them to death, but GT5 is just awful when you compare it to Forza, or GT3.

alright. im going to my friend shouse in a couple days, hes got an x-box, ill try out forza. i hope zr1 sounds like a actual muscle and not a v tech or whatever.

No, all cars sound like **** in gt5, thats why its a **** game.

I beg to differ on both counts. Cars like the Lamborghini Aventador sound amazing. Also, since when does sound break a game? In low games like GH yeah, but this is GT, the sounds don't matter that much.
