Just wondering what settings people with the G25 use.

Wheel Settings-

Wheel Sensitivity: High
FFB Strength: High
Pedal Sensitivity: Medium

Assists-

Transmission: Manual
Racing Line: Off
Tach Display: Off
SC Strenght: Off
TC Strenght: 1
ABS: Off

With different cars I like to switch the FFB and the WS, I wish they had a list for each car and a recommended setting for the wheel for each car. For example with the F333 you would think High, High, but with the 250 you would think Low, Medium or Low.

Another thing I cant figure out is the pedal sensitivity, With no abs I would like to use the full range of the pedal and not lock up until the pedal on the g25 enters that "super stiff" area near the end. But I wonder for race cars if it should be set to high, with sports cars medium and with classics low.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks,

I have a G25 and FC. What a game! I'm addicted. The wheel seems to have a slight delay in reaction to my inputs. If I jerk the G25 wheel left and right very fast the wheel on the in cockpit view will be an entire movement behind me with the wheel. While yanking the G25 left the wheel on screen is still going right to where the actual G25 wheel was one yank ago. The screen wheel will catch up to my actual G25 wheel position after about ½ second if I stop jerking it around. Does that make sense? The wheel on the screen does not seem to do precisely what I am doing with the G25 wheel. In the FC menus, I have the sensitivity set at High, FF at High, and pedals at High. Am I missing something or is it supposed to be like this? I feel like it is very difficult for me to catch the back end coming around without excessive counter steering. I seem to have to counter steer way more than I would have to when stepping the back end of a real car out at speed. Thoughts? Are their some settings I need to look at in the PS3 controller settings menus, outside of FC? I just got the G25, pulled it out of the box and started playing. What are the guys with the fastest times on the board using, pad or wheel? What settings do you use on the wheel? What are the majority of the people here using to play FC?

I also thought I read somewhere that the G25 will do 270degrees rotation as well as the 900degrees I am using now. Is that true? Thanks.

Welcome to GTPlanet & our little FC corner!

I suspect most people using a wheel for FC are using the "dashboard view" rather than the cockpit view, so what the wheel in the car is doing isn't a factor - but you're right it isn't in synch, & even less in synch are the gear shifts.

Most of the people posting on this site are using a wheel, I believe. But some are using a pad & they are still among the fastest FC racers.

I use Medium sensitivity, Medium FFB, High pedals on my G25.

I can tell you, with time you will get used to the feel of the wheel in FC & it will no longer feel "weird".

Thanks! What does DIV 2 mean in your sig? I find that the lower I set the sensitivity on the G25, the less control I have over the car in the event of the back end coming around. It does make it easier though until you have to make an evasive input like counter steering. What do you know of the actual effect of lowering the wheel sensitivity is?

Div 2 refers to the GTPlanet GT5P "ranking" system (arrived at through a Suzuka Time Trial some months ago).

I actually have my G25 "Sensitivity" setting at HIGH (as I noted in the earlier post). I have to admit I have never experimented with it much & have left it at that setting since I first started playing the game. I believe you will find that this setting is less important than actually practicing & developing familiarity with the overall feel of the game with the G25.
