i want a decent steering wheel and pedal setup for GT4
thats a lowish price

and i need it to have a very progressive gas and brake pedal so i can do part throttle and brake
so no on and off like pedals
and the same for the steering wheel

what should i get or not

how do you rate the following

Logitech Driving Force EX
Logitech Driving Force Pro
Logitech Driving Force
Joytech Williams F1 Racing Wheel
MadCatz MC2
Fanatec Speedster 2
Fanatec Speedster 3

and is there a good setup missing from this list

is the wheel with the GT in the middle good

Ihave a Logitech Driving Force EX for PC but i think i'll buy a PS2 version too. It's very good. 180 degrees (never let go of the wheel, me like). The Feedback is very good.

I say go for the DFP. You get FFB, 900 degree steering, and decent pedals. Those 900 degrees are the main part, you get more precise turning, resulting in better times. Thats what I notice when I use my G25.

I recently picked up a Driving Force Pro, and can honestly say It's the best wheel I've had.

Keep in mind, that when picking up a wheel and converting, you'll lose a few seconds on each lap for a few weeks until you get used to it.

Ill concur, The DFP is the best bang for the buck With the release of the G-25, You can find the DFP on Ebay very cheap. I waited until the release of it and found a DFP on Ebay for $80. If thats too much, Then go with its predacessor which you can find for under $30 on Ebay. Its a great beginner wheel & itll make you appreciate a newer model when you can afford it. Plus youll have 2 wheels when your get the better model and you can race against your buddies.

Also, when I first got my DFP I anlways overcorrected and ended up spinning, a 900degree wheel is totaly different from a 200 degree wheel or controller, and as Der Alta said it takes a while to get used to. I highly recommend it, however if you buy from ebay, dont get sucked in and pay too much, I saw one go for $700 aud that was refurbished, so just watch out.

The Williams F1 wheel pedals are very sensitive so its tough to get a real inbetween, once you get used to it though you can balance them nicely.

Good for a cheap wheel though.
