Looks like Citroen is dominating again, with both drivers scoring top times in almost all stages of day 1... now in day 2, Duval crashed, but Loeb still 2 minutes ahead of Gronholm...
Is it the car or the pilots of Citroen? They're so faster than the others!! Is another level!
For the rest of the teams, looks like it's very balanced...everyone is doing fine. Peugeot has improved a lot since last year, and Mitsubishi is not bad either. Subaru is having a hard time, but it was expected somehow...

The Citroens are real fast cars, and with Loeb (who is used to those roads) and Duval (who probably have been given advice from Loeb) behind the wheel of those cars, no wonder they had the two top spots, with Loeb winning in the end.

A big surprise is how much better the Mitsubishis seem to be. Panizzi scored 3rd and six points, Mitsu starting the season with nine.

Skoda too seem to be more competitive the start of this season. It'll be interesting to see how they'll do.

I was watching the highlights and some of thw incidents (crashes, overheating brakes etc) was great. And the amount of wishbones breaking was brilliant.

Citreon are the new WRC 'it' team. Soon everyone will be driving C4s (Forget the Xsara) down the road with huge spoilers and air rams.

Uh, no, they'll be gone at the end of this year, along with Peugeot.

Solberg and Gronholm suffered from the sheer stupidity of some fans who decided to throw snow on the asphalt, in a curve. Semi slick tarmac tires+ snow generally equal to not a whole lot of grip. Stupid people that should get kicked in the face. 👎

Panizzi's a tarmac specialist, so his performance doesn't surprise me that much. If the Mitsus are that quick in Sweden next time, then I'll truly believe they're back. But for now, I'd rather credit Panizzi's driving than the car itself.

Guessing the outcome of the Monte-Carlo was almost a no brainer:
Loeb is great on asphalt, he is almost competing in his backyard, and the Citron ( like the Frenchs would say ) has a good pedigree. So, I'm not surprised.
What surprised me was the strong comeback of Mitsu. Everyone knew they improved strongly from last year, but I didn't expect such a progress. It's good. About Panizzi, no surprise too, he is one of the top 3 asphalt racer.

MITSU! *BOOM BOOM* MITSU! *BOOM BOOM*
LET'S GO PANIZZIIIIII!
Man, it is nice to see the Evo back on the podium where it belongs.
I hope that the major electrical and motor niggles have been worked out, and the team can do well.
Finally.
