What are the top 5 track that people drift on?

I drift on Autumn and Mini, Tsukaba and Suzuka East.

Let me know what track you drift on.

I learned on Trial Mountain so I use that the most. I also use Deep Forest, Special Stage Route 5, now I'm practicing on Eiger Nordwand, consecutive hairpins FTW!

Autumn Ring (full) is my favorite thus far. The upward spiral isn't so much my favorite part as much as every turn after that leading to the start/finish line is, lol. Also, the consecutive left and right turns after turn 1 leading to the Mini version's start/finish line is hypnotic... Just keep a watchful eye out for that pit lane corner piece if you're going through the last righthand turn with a bit much speed. ;)

Trial Mountain, my second favorite, has the best banking turn (leading to the long tunnel) that I've raced/drifted through. I remember the first time I raced this course in GT3 (GT3 being the first GT game I've owned) and simply fell in love with taking this turn perfectly and blasting through the tunnel. It has the same effect on me as I drift through it now.

My least favorite would have to be Tsukuba though... To me it just doesn't have a smooth flow to it. Always having to adjust speeds because some areas are too much trouble to link up kills the fun of this track.

Do you drift on drift Trail?

If you are, what kind of points are you getting?

Know people hate the points, but just wondering how I am doing against other drifters.

Tsukuba is my personal fav. I also use Suzuk a lot, especially for testing new drift cars that I'm building.

Right now, I average 10-11,000 points a run if I can drift the tunnel and the back stretch consistently (I'm doing full lap runs BTW), my personal best so far was 15,700. The tunnel and the low speed corners after the downhill are my weakness but I'm starting to work out how to link corners together. I only chose that course because it felt most like Initial D which is why I wanted to try drifting.

Grand Valley seems to be the favorite of high level drifters. I still stick mostly to Autumn Ring Mini, Tsukuba, and Fuji (I love drifting the last section of Fuji backwards, makes me mad you can't run reverse Fuji legitimately). Cape Ring is pretty popular, I'd enjoy it more if I was better on the high speed corners.

Tsukuba, Indy Road Course, Autumn Ring R, Suzuka East.

I really do not like Eiger Norwand, The only decent bit is the hairpins imo. I don't know why everyone loves it so much

I really like deep forest, with a bit of practice you can link up the whole thing from turn two all the way to the third to last corner (the one with the rock wall on the outside just before the back straight).

Tsukubas good but its not my favorite. Dont like Eiger, and surprisingly havent tried Suzuka.

  1. Deep Forest-basically one big drift course really, can be totally linked even in low powered cars(I only have one car over 400hp- a viper), w/ a rudimentary command of manji drifts on the home straight.
  2. Trial Mountain-the course that got me into drifting w/ GT4.. even better w/ GT5
  3. Eiger-It's basically a Nordic touge, enough said.
  4. Nurburgring(did i get that right?)- German circuit touge, also enough said.
  5. Nurburgring GP(i think it was originally a moto course?)-Surprisingly fun to drift, wasn't really expecting it to be as fun as it was, and that first hairpin after the home straight? Priceless opportunity to perfect reverse entry drifts.
  6. Tsukuba-definitely not the optimum drifting environment, but i think its a case of Feng Shui...it just feels right to drift it...and thanks to playing years of D1GP on PS2, and countless youtube vids of D1GP, i can subconciously hear Tsuchiya, Mana-P, and(random japanese semi-celebrity) or Orido commenting on my technique(which is weird, because while i can somehow understand them, I have less than a rudimentary grasp of the japanese language, and the voices i hear are defintiely in full fledged JDM speech)

Circuit De Madrid has to be one of the best courses I've drifted on in GT5 :). It has such tight sections but if you can pull them off, it looks so ill and does your drifting skills justice.

My second favorite is Road Course Indy. I love doing long slide drifting and that's the perfect track to enable me to do so..with plenty of room for error as well ;) It's a good intermediate-ish course imo, excluding the banked section haha.

My third favorite is Trial Mountain Reverse. This course is just so awesome with the elevation changes and sweeping turns. It just screams, "Drifter's playground" 👍

and TBH, I don't like to limit myself to only my favorite courses..I switch it up from time to time and try as many different courses as I can...because I think drifting should be about adapting to your environment. Granted, you have to repeatedly drive on a track to understand it but we have so many courses in this game to choose from, why limit ourselves to only two or three for enjoyment? ;)

Cote D' Azure, SSR5, Suzuka East, Autumn Ring (Full), Trial Mountain, Grand Valley, I pretty much try to learn as many lay-outs as possible

tsukuba is my absolute fav right now, big long slides are fun. i started on this track so that prolly why i like it so much.
