im currently using a thrustmaster 80 wheel and peddle setup. If I was to upgrade to a Logitech g29 or thrustmast 300 which one should I get? Or would the upgrade not provide to much of a difference from the t80 to the newer wheels and should I stay with that?

Can't speak to the Logitech bc I haven't tried it, but there a million comparisons you can find between the g29 and the T300/TX (same base but one is for playstation and the other is xbox)

If you do go for the Thrustmaster I recommend buying the standalone servo base and picking out the rim you want most, rather than buying the kit. The cost will be similar and you'll enjoy it a lot more

Upgrading from a rubber cord wheel with 180° rotation to a wheel with force feedback and 1080° rotation, not much difference. I would stay on the t80. :dopey:👍

Was this just a joke our are you serious?

Hi, almost everyone was starting with that special first wheel what we buyed without any clue about things.
It dosnt really matter what your next wheel will be. Everyone will say diffrent stuff. You will need to learn it by yourself, what is the best experience for yourself. If you start with your second wheel the spiral of death start rotating and you will never stop looking for the next better wheel :D :D :D

The G29 should be a good step into the world of FFB wheels.
You will get the basic packet of what you need for racing. A wheel with ffb, 3pedals and a h-shifter.

G29 with the shifter, is a fairly solid sim wheel package for the price. A separate handbrake is the only thing I would like to add.

Hm i would suggest you to step up one higher quality and price range. If you go for G29 or T300 you probably buy twice. Go straight for Fanatec and be happy for a long time.

But that would mean lot of cash, maybe he is happy with a g29. I think every ffb wheel is a huge step from the T80:D

G29, 3 pedals, H-shifter = 230€
CSL elite ps4, 3 pedals, H-shifter = 980€ + 40€ for h-shifter table clamp

or ... Direct Drive... :) :) :)

But maybe he has also this little man in his head saying: "maybe there is something better out there, you should try it...you should own it" haha

Do you see yourself sim racing 5 years from now, are you fairly serious or is it just a once a week hobby?

If it's just a passing hobby get a T150.

If you want to get more immersive with better performance invest in a good ecosystem with upgrade paths.
Fanatec is my recommendation.

Edit: I have a wife and young son that like to go to bed early. The CSL is extremely smooth and quiet with gear changes you can barely hear. Just something else to consider for those that like late night racing.
