To the guys in the top ten, what wheel are you using? I have a Driving Force Pro, and that thing seems like it sucks to use.

I'm can't break 250 and I'm using sixaxis. Will be getting a G27 for Christmas so we'll see how much practice I can get on it to work my way into the top 128.

Im ranked 115 and used a controller... i know I can get time out of Tsukuba and Cape Ring though but Madrid felt like my max.... will need a wheel too :\

I use a Driving Force Pro and I am currently #1 in the West by about 1.8s. I actually like the wheel but only because I don't know any better. What I really have a problem with is the brake pedal and the braking in GT5 in general. It seems like if I barely tap the pedal it applies full brake pressure. I might as well bind the brakes to one of the face buttons. =( I am losing so much time due to my poor braking and I blame the Driving Force Pro!

Calibrate the pedal. A hard push all the way down usually fixes that for me on my DFGT.

I am not sure what you mean by that. How does pushing the pedal down allow me to calibrate it? I would definitely love to be able to use the full range of the pedal instead of the 10% that it takes to achieve full pressure like it is now.

Works for me... read it somewhere on these forums. Just slam on the brakes all they way anywhere in the game. You have to do it each time you start up the game.

I did the bungie pedal mod and its amazing! The pedal feels so much better now and I have lots more control over the pressure. I made a quick vid to show how easy it is to perform the mod.

lol, i like how it's completely silent and then at the end you just walk away. in a good way. it's kind of like "here, this is it. now i have other things to do, peace."

I'm just using a controller, right now I'm ranked 55, 32, and 53 in the Midwest (last I checked).

Edit: just checked and I'm rank 42 overall. (The meaning of life!)

Im using a controller and my overall rank at the moment is 12 midwest region.
Im pretty proud considering im using a six axis controller

First of all, nice avatar- (fellow GTI enthusiast here, mk6)

If you are kicking butt with the controller, give it a couple hours to get used to the wheel and you should be able to see some drastic time drops

I'm using a Driving Force Pro with wheelstandpro and I think it works fine. Ranked 40th overall in the Midwest but consistantly improving my times. I know I have a lot left in all three tracks, Rome and Tsukuba are kicking my butt right now though.
