What's Forza 7 have over GTS?

Los Angeles,
I played Forza 3 and I enjoyed it alot. I'm hating the lack of cars in GTS, what makes the difference for you? I know Forza 7 has new modes and tons of cars. How does the 1997 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo run in stock form?
Thanks.

1997 GTO in stock form, or updated, is not competitive in B or A Class. I do not know about higher classes than that? Too heavy to get the power to weight right to compete with the top tier cars. I am sure you could run decent if built and tuned right, but you wouldn't compete for wins.

I feel like in F3 it was easily faster than the Nissan 300zx TT and RX7. Is that not the case in this game? In GT1-GT6, the VR4/GTO beats out all the other JDM 90s cars bc of the AWD, the Supra TT passes around 120 and the rest are sucking wind.

Thanks for the response!

300zx has the same issue, it's too heavy. Average car, you can make it run good, but it's not going to hang with the cars with much better power to weight ratios. There is no Toyota cars in FM7. Nothing to worry about there.

The RX7 if built right can be a very fast car. Definitely have to swap that motor out. You either put the Audi TT motor in it, or the 6.2L V8.

Camera - On GTS camera is fixed rigid on the car and feels jerky and twitchy. Unfortunately that makes me feel nauseous. Yes, there is camera movement on FM7, but it's smoother so that's not an issue.

Controller - I have an Xbox Elite Controller and it just feels way better than DS4. (I have both Xbox One and PS4)

Other than these two factors, FM7 and GTS are pretty even for me. FM7 has a wider range of cars and GTS has more interesting fictional tracks.

Better economy and less expensive cars.

I like the fact I can make money in various ways in FM7, such as Rivals, Open Track Day, and Free Play (which has more options than GTS has).

Since the cars don't range from thousands to 20 million credits, it makes obtaining them a lot more enjoyable for exploration. But if you don't have the money, they are all unlocked for you to drive in free play mode and online. 👍

Also, customization and upgrades.

GTS given up it's upgrading system for a simplistic one, which IMO, was a mistake. Right now, FM7 is the only sim with customization and an actual upgrading system.

Thank you SO much for all the answers! I love that they have such a huge collection. I think I'll pick it up, one little problem though - I don't have the newest X Box. What systems (or PC) does it play on? I really want this game.
@SoapBoxRacer - i actually threw up last night from watching a GTS replay (I was high though). In general it makes me nauseous as well.
@TokyoTurismo - that sounds awesome, just what I'm looking for, exploration! I always hated how you couldn't test drive the big boys until you bought them in the GT series. And Sport has the weakest upgrade system I've ever seen in my life. I have to ask, you have Turismo in your name, do you play that as well?

You will need an Xbox One or a decent PC. If you want to go the PC route (which I recommend since you won't need to buy an entire new console for future Forza's plus you don't have to have a Gold membership to play online (for now at least)), you can check to see how your PC will do here. If you want to go the console route I would honestly recommend holding off for the next generation of consoles that's coming next fall and FM8.

Any time man, glad to have helped you. 👍 Exploring cars has been my favourite thing thanks to Gran Turismo, and wished that GTS had the same.

The last part of my name comes from my love for Gran Turismo (since GT2) when I registered to GTP from 2011. I play between GTS and Forza every now and then for variety. :) :D

I want to thank everyone here for their help. You guys have an awesome forum, you can always tell when someone new asks something and you get great answers like this.

I've decided I'm going to get it! I'll be a little like @TokyoTurismo - more F7, less GTS lol.
@curtis 1-8-7, you and @tokyoturismo called it. I want to be exploring cars, and collecting and upgrading cars from different eras.
When I picked up GTS, I thought I was getting both of those things - WRONG. I actually didn't even pick it up until the last release of cars that included a 1991 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo. I'm all excited and ****. The car drives like ****, not at all like the real thing, and being a former 3000GT VR4 owner i know what a first gen (90-93) TT feels like and it's not....that. It's a shame really as GT4-GT6 didn't have the first gen VR4 (thank God) but the second gen like i had, which is true to form and accelerates very similarly to my 1996 VR4. I love those Mitsubishis and PD ****ed up the 1G; I don't even know how considering they had the 1G in GT1/GT2 and it was fine in those, if unrealistic due to age.

Anyways enough about VR4s.
Thank you to everyone on this page for helping me make this decision, as it will be pricey for me either way if it's PC or console. I'm most likely going to do what @Northstar said, which is the most cost effective way.

Note that if you want to spend money, the game really benefit from using FFB Wheel (enven an entry level one) :)
Don't get me wrong it's really good with Xbox controller (the one wth rumble in the triggers), you feel wheelspin when accelerating and wheel locking when braking.

Have fun

Thank you! I'll post on here when I get it. I have a friend with an X Box One that never uses it and he's agreed to let me borrow it, so all I have to do is get the game! I would love one of those steering wheel and pedal set ups. How much are they?

I do not suggest getting a cheap wheel and pedal setup. You are better off with a controller than the cheap wheels. If you are going to go the wheel route, you are better off getting the top of the line stuff. Fanatec is about $1,400 dollars. I wouldn't get anything cheaper.

My setup is:
Metal Wheel stand: 100€
Thrustmaster TMX PRO wheel + pedals: 200€

If you choose a TMX wheel get the PRO version has it has a much better 3 pedals pedalboard (it's the one of the more expansive TX wheel). They also have a better feeling than the standard 2 pedal set of the base TMX

In my opinion even with an entry level FFB wheel the feeling is much better than with a controller. I'm also more consistent than with the controller.

I can't tell for the logitech wheel.

Awesome advice, and awesome set up you have. Thank you. Y'all have been awesome.
That set up must be amazing. Legit truthfully, how awesome is it?

$1400?
Everything in my signature was $1500.
That is assuming you all are in the states.

Thank you :)
In fact the set up is tailored to my habits, it's mobile, I just put the stand with the wheel on it in front of my couch when I play, then put it in storage under my stairs when I'm done...
It's a basic thing, but it's enjoyable.
Now I'm considering getting the Thrustmaster Shifter, but it's expansive (around 170€)...

You can have a lot of fun with Forza (provided you don't have to race on Virginia great West route :()

I also think that you can have fun without getting a top of the line setup. If you plan on making simracing championships then OK you need a very good setup, but if you play for fun, it's not necessary.

more power to you, but the DS4 works on windows too*. Also it feels fantastic in FM7 as well.

* through the usage of a tool like 'Ds4Windows'.

Just to clear things up a bit... Is it possible to use Xbox controller on PS4?

No, I dont believe you can.

Sure it may work, but it definitely doesn't have the same functionality. The rumble triggers in the Xbox One pads being the most significant difference.

I think you can if you use either a CronusMax Plus or Brook Super Converter. I haven't used either but from what I've read the Brook version is easier.

The Xbox One pads would be well worth buying just for the rumble triggers.

I think you can through the usage of third party tools (for example the Mayflash's ps3 adapter works on 360 iirc), there are some videos about it, but I believe most of them are hoaxes. Like the following.
There's still a possibility though, you need to tinker with both the controller and the console, or be lucky in you Search Engine and see if you can find some forum discussion about some little thing you can attach to your console. Like it happen to me when I was looking for a better way to use a ds3 controller on pc without the cable and that abomination that is motioninjoy and those other things. I'm still angry over almost losing a perfectly functioning bluetooth because of their shenanigans with the drivers.
