When i play GT5 my main focus point will be, taking street legal cars and tuning them to the max while still keeping it street legal. For some strange reason im not really into race cars... Well no i like race cars however i just like to drive them to get that thrill of a race car in a free mode. When it comes to competing online I have a passion for building street legal track beast. When i play online my cars are always tuned as a street car, for example when it comes to gearing i only touch the final drive. I know i can make my RX-7 faster if i tune every gear, but i know i would be making my RX-7 a race car if i tuned every gear. I also love to drive cars in their stock form. it gives me a great appreceation for them. Anybody else like to tune Street legal cars?

I like low power cars. A lot of strategy involved if they do it right. I wish (not likely) that gran turismo 5 would just let me stick with them and keep throwing new races at me...

playing forza I liked to stick with their class D racers (D1 specifically)--not slow by any stretch, but fun to build/tune, and fun to race even at the limit.

Yes Lower powered cars! I love street sports cars. That is why I play Gran Turismo series over GTR for example.

As well, if damage comes around. I will try to be extra careful even with the AI. 20 lap races, I will try to pass AI once every lap or two to stay more realistic, to never over push the car and crash :P.

So with GT5 I will be extra careful. Oh, and one more thing, if B-Spec makes it in, I will try to use it less ;). Only time I will use it is on Endurance events like 8-24 hour races. It's just too much for me.

Racing online at real life tracks with real life race cars. WTCC, DTM, JGTC, F1, NASCAR, I hope they include as many types of series as possible from as many eras as possible. 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and today.

I will also do a little bit of everything else the game has to offer, but online is what I'm looking forward to the most.

I'm really hoping that we can maintain multiple garages. It'd be really cool if we could make our own tune shop where we can buy tools/equipment etc. Like 30,000 cr for the equipment needed to make custom carbon parts and so on. "Fredzy Auto Service"

My focus will be building my real life and dream garages. I'd have 5 garages:

1. My real life cars I've owned or own (5 cars and a truck... might not have a comparable truck heh)
2. Cars I some day intend to buy or build (dream garage - maybe 15 cars tops)
3. All rest of the real normal cars I acquire in the game
4. All rest of the real race cars I acquire in the game
5. Alll of the prototype/concept/made up cars in the game

Basically replicate reality and live my dreams out.

I just really like the choice with GT though I do like to use standard cars more than race cars, comparing them around the ring and other tracks with many cars.

when I do mod the cars, I also sometimes like to leave the engine alone but improve the chassis but I often do many combinations and compare with others.

I often get bikes from TT and compare them with standard road cars etc

Yea i really hope we get damage. Everyone would drive with respect or pay the price. It would boost every car moral x 100. With Damage I could see me driving on the ring :nervous:

Its cool to see people like different car classes and cars. like i said im not a big racing car fan, but i know we have big racing car fan drivers. If there was a spectator mode i could see me watching some of the top race car drivers In GT5 race each other:tup:.

-> My primary objective when playing GT5 is to collect as many street legal/production (classic, old, recent, & new), concept/prototype, and race (w/o livery) cars. After that, I would stage a time atttack battle of everycar on GT5 wheather if it is on Autumn Ring, SS R11 or Red Rock Valley tracks.

-> I'm also one of the few that is not a fan of livery-type race cars. I'd rather have a plain-bodied race cars, like these:

I expect a game that can top the best GT of them all, GT2!

Think about it; Horsepower Limits, Racing Mods, Event Generator, Information on each and every car, and tracks like Green Forest, Red Rock Valley, Rome-Night, Pikes Peak, and Grindelwald!

Now, that's the definition of the term "Full Circle". not to mention the fact that it would be pretty frickin' sweet!

After finishing all the events I'll probably just do what I did with GT4, which was tuning non-race cars for Tsukuba time attacks (Evos especially, if I remember correctly I had a VIII MR doing sub-54 second laps and a VI RS TME under 56) and making light, low powered drift cars for Special Stage Route 11, though I hope they include some more drift-friendly tracks (real D1GP venues, fictional or touge courses, doesn't matter) so it's not limited to one course. Just thinking about this is making me want to play GT4 again...

^ I definitely agree on your statement above. I felt that GT2 was the most engaging and fun experience. Nothing frustrating (GT4) or boring (GT3) manners. GT2 in my opinion was marginally the best of all GT following closely by GT4. ;)

Private, online, serious racing, in the mold of proper real life circuit racing, with 12-16 like-minded, talented, respectful, all around fun people to race with. All occurring over In-game voice communication.

Then, when I'm tired of the white knuckle, door to door, play by the rules action, I want to vent by way of demolition derby.

GT2 is still my favorite, and did the most to advance the series forward in my opinion. I'd love to see all of this come true, especially Racing Modification and the tracks you mentioned. I'd take Rome-Night, Grindelwald, and Red Rock over any real world circuit, to be honest...well except for Nurburgring and Sarthe, but fortunately they're already confirmed.

Just going thru the whole game until i´ve got all the cars and done 100% then i´ll dive into the online so will be busy for a while it seems!

"Whats going to be your main focus point playing GT5 "

Enjoyment.

Buying a car, checking it out, driving and testing it on various test tracks (that includes Nurburgring), photomode then race it if there is a event for it and if I feel like it, tune it.

Rinse and repeat.

The entire spectrum of tuning, different cars and ways of tuning them, enjoyment, everything.

i doubt this will happen but i always loved the way you could drive around the city in need for speed underground and the ones after that. i think it'd be pretty cool to drive my f40 down the street to the parts store and then drive down a lonely, curvy, back road to the racetrack. i also love the idea of having my own garages to tune cars in etc. i think that would be a great addition to the game.

My main focus of the game will be to complete the career mode and obtain all of the cars in the game...just so that I have a choice of whatever I want to drive. I collected all of them in GT3 and in GT4.

However, with the online aspect finally being added to the series, and getting a taste of GTplanet racing via racechat and some of the GTP competitions, and assuming private rooms will be added....I think it's going to add an entire aspect to the game. Since I'm a young college student (20) and don't have the money to go out to a track with a track car, GT5 will be my home for some great competitive, clean racing, the way it was meant to be done.

Sounds like the perfect game to me :)

Which has nothing at all to do with this thread.

I hope Porsche will be in GT5, trying too have them all will be my first mission.

And if they did'nt make it in GT5 :(, it will be Ruf and all the other supercars there are in the game and fully tune them up. If there's a livery editor i think i will spend a whole day making my Team's(MC959 Racing Team)-livery that i would apply on my beauties.....

I just don't think he phrased it to your liking? I got from it that just cruising around and running a tuning garage is what he'd like to do. And I'd be up for that.

"we're sorry, your answer must be in the form of a question. minus $400."

Sounded like he was saying what features he wishes were in GT5. You're saying what he meant to say was if that feature were in GT5, roaming around would be his focal point?

That's how I read it. I have similar thoughts as the guy so I felt I should defend him haha. Running a tuning garage would be my dream feature for GT5, could see devoting all my time to that alone if possible. Driving public roads could be interesting, but I think PD would make a whole new game for that before they crammed it into GT5.

Yes i like the legal street cars too! much more than the race cars...

It´s great to drive an Golf R32 or an Mini S...

I think my focus will be to get all in Gold and 100% in GT5... and then the Online mode...

I'm going for the old school Group C racers. Going to buy as many as I can as fast as I can and hope to do some 24 hour races with them.

Excuse me, but what's with you people who wants free roaming in Gran Turismo? I just don't get it. You have Midnight Club, Grand Theft Auto, Test Drive Unlimited, Need For Speed Underground, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Need For Speed Carbon and I've probably missed a few.

Of course everyone is free to have their opinion, but I don't understand, why GT? Which in my opinion is as far away from a free roaming game as you can get.

No one cares, but if GT5 includes a free roaming mode, I'm selling my PS3 and then I'm getting a PC with some real racing sims. I might do that anyway.
